I had my first Chemo it went well, the chemo training the day before was very intense trying to remember all the do's & don'ts tis he pits. I was tired yesterday but part of it I amsure is all the running back& forth to the hosp. Dealing with every thing hoping it will start running smoother.

Thanks for akk the prayers for both Tom & I we appreciate it!

Have a b
great Day!!!! You All need to do lots of sewing cuz I am not getting any done! :)

Good morning,,,It is snowy and cold here...Ken has a leg cramp and will not be going to the gym today....I will go by my self...If I stop now I will not get going again....Trying to go 5 days a week. I have lost some weight but feel very good. I am doing this for my bones not as much weight.

I still need to finish my binding on the BOM...and go to block 2 of the christmas quilt. I did quilt another BC quilt and will start piecing more tops soon...I want to get ahead of that project before we leave for Florida...we will be gone for 4 weeks. I will have wifi most of the time although not for 24/7...so I will check in when I can.

Prayers for all of you.

Lois - it's great that you have today off even if you do have to go to the doctor. Happy sewing.

Jules - when are you coming to Vegas? I don't like going to the grocery store....maybe because it has something to do with cooking and I sure don't like to cook. My DH goes to the grocery just about every Sunday evening so I have him pick up anything we need. I go for the big shopping but sure don't like it.

Teresa - do you have a computer like the Statler stitcher? I hope it behaves for you now.

Scrap - Alzheimer's is such a sad disease but I can see where there would be some humor to it, too. Sorry you had to walk thru ankle-deep snow. Of course you should sign up for a man with money - you need a material man (like a sugar daddy) - LOL LOL LOL.

Suzette - I wonder why that is. Maybe because darker skin is tougher so the radiation can't get thru as easily? Who knew? We do need to see you in your scarf.

Izzy - LOL LOL I'd be doing a happy dance if I were you, too.

Vicky - I hope that tooth is better. You should take that antibiotic as the dentist directed or it won't work as well as it can. A tooth ache or ear ache is the worst! I really want you to take that antibiotic because I almost died when I was about 21 because I had a bad tooth but my face hurt under my eye - I thought it was a sinus infection. The next day my forehead was swollen and when my daddy saw it he rushed me to the doctor. It wasn't a sinus infection - it was an infected tooth. That doctor called the dentist next door who took me in right away and he began a root canal. To make a long story short - if I'd waited 6 to 8 hours more I'd be dead. Ear, teeth and throat infections are so close to the brain that we really shouldn't mess around with them. OK my lecture is over now. I care.

Pat - I'm sure you are exhausted. All that running to and from the hospital would wear out anyone but you are sick on top of it. You are in my prayers. It is good to see you here.

Kathy - I don't really like going somewhere that I haven't been before but I make myself put on my big girl panties and get out there and just DO it. Don't much like trying out a new doctor either. I wouldn't like to have your day today.

Becca - I baked a cake last night, too, but I screwed mine up in my new oven. I put the cake in the preheated oven but when I set the timer I somehow turned the oven off. So when the buzzer went off I checked on the cake and it was soupy and the oven was almost cold. Had to turn the oven on again. It's a wonder the cake even rose.

Judi - while you are out get Ken a couple of bananas for his leg cramps. Do you need any more blocks?

Last night was a busy one. Did dinner then had to pack clothes and food and also get the house ready for the cleaning lady. She's going to have a shock when she walks into my kitchen with the new stainless appliances. Now I'm at work and after work will load the cold food in the ice chest, load up the truck, grab the dogs and head for the lake. I packed up sewing stuff including the next pattern I'm going to do. I need to get 5-1/2 yds. of background fabric for it and maybe some new fabrics for the applique part. I know I need pink batiks for it which I realized when I was pulling other fabrics for it. Gee, I guess I'll have to go fabric shopping. Also taking my next block to needle turn applique. This weekend we'll relax, sit outside and drink coffee and talk to Sue and Kenn. I'm going to fix taco soup and DH wants cornbread so I'll fix that, too. We'll be home Sunday afternoon.

I hope we all get to fondle fabric today.

Good Morning Ladies!

I've been busy getting ready to meet Cindyg at the lake. Loading the camper, up the steps, down the steps. LOL Getting my excersize before I get started. Cooked all day yesterday as we surely don't want to go hungry. :o)

I've been working on a Bonnie Hunter pattern called Hopscotch Butterscotch. Easy quilt, just need to finish the outer border and that is another quilt off my bucket list.

Gotta run, needing another cup of Pecan coffee........Yum

Sue

Morning, all.

This will be another drive-by posting - on my way to the big city to go to my LQS and get my hairs cut. I also need to go to the post office but I don't think I'll have time.

Cindyg - you are so right about infections near the brain. My exSIL died from not getting a tooth infection treated.

Pat - it's great to see you. You sure have a lot on your plate right now.

Vicky - hope your mouth is feeling better.

Judi - good for you for going to the gym without Ken.

Becca - hope your appointments are done for awhile.

Izzy - yay for another snow day.

Kathy - I'm so thrilled Kim is doing so well. What an answer to prayer! She's lucky she had her mom to nurse her back to health.

Scraps - what a great idea to find yourself a quilting sugar daddy!

Hi to the rest of you - I am out of time. Have a lovely day. xoxo Sharona

Good morning all! Just finished reading yesterday's posts so I think I am caught up on what everyone was doing.

Irishgram - Welcome back. Hope your DH feels better soon.

Izzy - Glad the baby goats are doing well. I always enjoy your pictures of them. I love animals. Enjoyed your Happy Dance. I am doing one also. I don't have to make any runs to town today. I can stay and hopefully get some sewing and cleaning done.

Maryq - Congrats on the "found money". Have fun fabric shopping.

Jules - Glad your health report from the doctor is that you are getting better. I will trade my cold air here for your rain if you want.

Cindyg - I love Downton Abbey too. What did you think of the ending last Sunday? I saw the fabric line they put out. It is pretty, but I wouldn't but any since it is not what I like to use. Have a good time at the Lake this weekend and think of me here in the cold of NW Ohio.

Chriss - Do for your DH what I did for mine the first time I made the crockpot roast. Just don't tell him and tear up the empty package in little pieces and throw away. After he tastes how good it is he won't care how it is made-"our secret". Like you I am going to use fabric I have for the Mystery Quilt. I have lots of Reproduction Fabric and that is what I am going to use.

Lois - Glad you are almost done with your PT.

Judi - Bananas for Ken is a good suggestion since they have potassium in them. I used to get bad leg cramps until the Dr. found out I had very low potassium which was weird because I eat lots of fruit and vegetables and drink V8 juice every day because of the potassium in it. Now I have to take potassium pills, but I don't get leg cramps. Hope he feels better soon.

Scrappy Pat - Glad your first chemo went well. Hope Tom gets home soon. Both of you take care.

Suzette - Glad your radiation treatment went well. Take it easy if you feel tired.

Guess I had better go get something done. I was just going to stop in for a quick note. LOL Hope everyone has a good day. Those of us in the cold weather stay warm. Prayers for all who need them.

Sherry

Good early afternoon from dreary, drab, chilly, SW. Pa...Not a good forecast but that's the best I can do....The nice gentlemen on TV are saying we will be getting "tundra temps" in the next few days.....JUST WHAT I NEED!

Not much happening in this household, as usual....I did give the living room a good cleaning...I'm hoping Kevin will be picking up our new recliner on his way home from work....I can't wait to pitch the old one...A few years ago, when I was in Florida, Jim bought a new chair...And he got an extra big one because he needed room for sleeping cats...Well, it's on it's way out the door and the sleepy cats will just have to get used to be cramped.....It's amazing what we do for these furkids.....

I'm also thinking of taking a quick trip to the store (thinking being the main word)...It takes a lot to get me out in this weather but the list has gotten long....

Suzette, So glad your feeling good after your treatment...As others have advised, if you feel tired, you rest...I have a friend who was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and takes chemo and so far other than being tired, feels great....It's amazing what they can do these days......

Scrappy Pat, I have a feeling, your name "scrappy" fits the bill...You sound like a fighter and you're not going to let this bump in the road knock you down....You also have to take it easy...Being a care giver is a tough job...Many, many prayers for you and your DH....

Izzy, the picture did indeed make me smile....WOW, you really do have a mini vacation, don't you? From yesterday, when you wrote about goat poo and how you wash their tails, I now have a new mental picture............You certainly do have a full life, don't you?

Maryz, so glad to hear from you and also happy to hear you're "parked" because you want to be...I showed Jim the picture of your "mule" train and he just shook his head...I can imagine what the passing traffic thought.....But, from now on, it's clear sailing or camping, right.......Enjoy every minute!

Well, I guess it's time to change into "decent" clothes and go spend some money...With the cold weather and me staying home, we have saved a bunch this week...Just think of the money I'd save if I lived WAY up north................

Have a great day................

Oh irishgram the smell is worse than baby poo. No kidding. I can deal with manuer all day. But baby goat poo will gag ya for sure LOL I guess its so pure so to speak lol. I am giggling as I type this:)

Well all my uglies are done that I planned on doing for the day. The wash is done my goodness how do 3 people go through so many outfits in a Week. And two loads of towels why cant you reuse a towel arent you clean when you dry off?????

Sun trying to peak out of clouds in between snow showers We have about 1/2 inch but the way it came down you would think a blizzard. Too windy here for it to stay put:) I did go up to barn and bust ice from buckets and check on girls all doing great. Even pumkin is starting her healing process. she is still swollen. I could milk her but decided the trauma of her lost birth and the agony of it too--well she deserves a break so I will let her dry up and heal at same time. I am afraid she may not get pregnant again she had a lot of trauma to birth canal. I plan to move her to field with no buck as soon as she heals up and it warms up.

Well did some online shopping at Els shop:)) Got a couple of cute patterns for 99 cents wow. I also got some fabric and stencils, and some tools too. I needed tone on tone for her mystery quilt to set blocks. so got me a skinny bolt on sale and some 1/2 yards of couple others to see what I like the most:))

Well microwave says time to eat for DD. Then to the sewing room I go.

Still doing my happy dance:)

Vicky hope you feel better I have had two root canals they are no fun; although My dentist is a prince he knocks me out when doing them yup felt not a thing till all was said and done:)

Scrappypat I can just imagine how tired you are. Your in my prayers hope DH gets some rest and jumps back from rehab quickly:)

Suzzette your in my prayers too. Glad you did well with first tx also:)

Teresa we need you 100% come on team leader; I sent the sandman your way hopefully he will fill those pretty eyes of yours so you can get some well needed sleep:)
