Yes, my tattoos are just very small blue dots. I was thinking about having them made into flower tattoos after treatments are done. Not sure tho.

Good morning everyone! It's been ages since I've posted here, my RA is in my shoulders the past few months...makes it hard to type for any length of time. But today seems a little better, so here I am! lol!
I'm starting to work on the Lodge Swap blocks from 2011...getting them all to the same size. How can you have a room full of fabric, and struggle to find the right color/style for a project??? lol! When and if I get this together, I might give it to my grandson...he and his girlfriend will be getting married in October. He's a hunter, so the theme will work for him..and it will be a lap quilt, so it will go on the couch.
Hate to leave so soon, but it's almost lunchtime...love and hugs to all!!!
Joanne

Good morning!
Suzette – glad the block is gone! Thanks for explaining about the new tats.
Lois – happy half-day and PT. Enjoy your sewing time.
Chrissy1 – prayers for your cousin. That is great news about Myles!
Kathy – chili on a cold day sounds wonderful. Have fun at your sister’s.
Chriss – interesting dilemma about the prospective new job. I, for one, couldn’t be paid enough to be a supervisor. I don’t have the temperament for it. But if you’re on a wage freeze, it would make sense.
Maryq – I love the baby picture contest idea! Are you wearing short sleeves today?!
Jules – glad the sun is out and shining, at least for a bit. Charley really has grown up, hasn’t she. She sounds like a very strong woman, must like her mum.
Judi – brrr! I’m also glad for seat warmers. The Ohio DGC were supposed to go back to school last week. They’ve been out of school almost three weeks now! My DDIL is about to lose her mind. And you’re so right – the time will come out of their summer vacation. Your poor kitty – I bet she’s happy for the humidifier as well.
Miriam – what a beautiful scene you have painted with words. Are the birdies waiting at the door for you? I need to wash my fabric and start cutting as well. Sorry your truck repairs were so much – especially when we can relate it to how much fabric we could have purchased with it. Oh well – it’s tough to drive a bolt of fabric around town…
Karlene – such a pretty picture you painted as well – glad your lilac candle has made a reappearance. I hope your neck starts to feel better. Where is Harley staying now that Victoria is back at work? What a relief that the pipe didn’t break.
Joanne – how lovely to see you! Sorry about the RA. The quilt does sound perfect for your nephew! I so understand about the fabric.
Today I will wash my fabric and start cutting out the bird house blocks. My LQS has a New Year’s resolution club I’m thinking about. You bring in four 3x5 cards with a quilting resolution, like finish up my Christmas swap blocks quilt or learn how to make a cathedral quilt, learn how to stipple, things like that. After you complete one, you bring the project in and show it off and they mark the card as done. If you finish all four, they put it in a drawing at the end of the year and you win something fabulous. Other than that, we are debating about what kind of heat to use in the out building. To put in a small furnace would run around 5k, which is way too much at this point. The contractors who taped and mudded the drywall had these huge propane heaters that don’t smell – we’re looking at maybe getting something like that. Have a great day! Xoxo Sharona

Re: Thursday, January 9 (Friday Eve)
Suz—I almost asked if you would have them made into flowers or wear them as your badge of honor… maybe little ribbons???
Karlene—is your house plumbed with PEX? My DH uses it exclusively now as it freezes, expands and shrinks back with thawing—no broken pipes. Sure beats all the problems with the plastic or copper pipes.
We are still fog shrouded. The blackbirds have now found my seeds and are crowding out all the “pretty” little birds.
Joanne—it’s so good to hear from you! I was wondering about you. I put together the lodge swap and need to get it quilted for my grandson.
Sharona—driving around a bolt… ha! This year I could have bought out a quilt shop. February was “tune up” and $500. Tires came this summer and almost $500. Last month it was fuel injectors, brakes and over $1,000. I still love my little truck and plan to drive it forever. Actually, it’s a 2000 and still has less than 95,000 miles on it. DH puts in those “motel-style” heat/air units in our rentals. They run on 220 electricity and are pretty efficient when they are running as heat pumps on the outside air. Below 30 degrees, they use a strip that’s more expensive to run. We had them before we moved into this house, and they really did a good job. They are under $1,000 a unit.
I worked out for an hour—I know I’ll be sore tomorrow. Need to work through it and get back some muscle tone. I keep asking myself why I let myself go… Now, I am off to my sewing room and the bird house blocks.
Enjoy your day!

Re: Thursday, January 9 (Friday Eve)
Good afternoon a quick fly by to say hello. At work but its Thursday so thats making it better almost the weekend. Computer changes are driving me crazy I had to reset all my internet stuff to get to the new program ahhhhh so lost all saved passwords. Ok I am blond and have no idea what I think of when making passwords LOL but I can never remember what they are. I had to call my bank to reset it so I could go in and redo when they made changes to that kicked out my multi accounts together. LOL I am telling you I hate technology.
Well got all my paperwork done yesterday before all the changes thank goodness:)
Tonight I hope to sew on SBS blocks to catch up:) Last ight was business meeting at church and I am clerk so that was done deal. DH nominated us to do Valentine banquet again. good thing he was across room and i couldnt slug him LOL but we got on phone and got caterer and decorater all in one last night lined up YIPPEE and Dh reserved building today so all we lack is games Not too shabby. Last year we had to do decorating and all:0
I am amazed at what kids get for christmas these days: iphones; tablets; ipads; cell phones. What ever happened to dolls, toys and such. LOL I dont even have a cell phone what does a second grader need with one LOL
Chickie such a vision your place; I really wish we could have got together when we were out that way. Keep the fog I do have to drive in morning lol:)
Jules I agree Charlie made a good decision
Hope she gets to keep house and things continue to work out for her:)
Crissy1 will keep heather in prayer and your lil guy too:)
Well back to work have fun sewing everyone. Fondle some fabric for me today:))
God bless and happy thoughts

Re: Thursday, January 9 (Friday Eve)
Good afternoon from sunny, sunny, still cold, SW. Pa...With the sunshine, you'd think it was up in the 70s..That Mother Nature is such a tease......
Not much happening in this household, just trying to stay warm.....I think I've picked up that "block" that Suzette had...I can't get motivated to do anything....I have a whole basket full of hand work, sitting beside my chair and of yet, haven't done anything....
Jim is doing really well but the pain meds really messed up his "timing", almost like a baby with his days and nights reversed...Last night at midnight, he asked if I was going to sleep all day....Oh well, this too shall pass......
And then I got a text from Kathy and her problem has turned out to be Squamous and has to be sliced and diced as she put it....Always something but, it will be fine.....
Chriss, At least you are among the ones being interviewed and that should make you feel special...It's too bad it doesn't involve more money...But, you know, you'll make the right decision....I like how you described Jerry...He is your knight in shining armor......
Suzette, be proud of your new tats and in time, turn them into flowers....My son's have faded just a bit...But, if someone questioned him about his numerous scars, he tells them it was from one heck of a shark....
Scrappy Pat, so happy to hear the good news and praying for more good results....You gals are really an inspiration.....
Karlene, I was just thinking, when you pick me up for our trip, maybe we could take a side trip to the northwest...I understand there is a house full of stash just waiting for someone to come buy and claim....And I also heard, they took they're "guard dog" with them......I'm ready when you are..........
I'm gonna scoot and do something...Jim didn't go to bingo today so maybe I'll spend the afternoon bugging him.......
You all have a good day, stay warm, stay safe.....
Dorothy

Good morning!
It is snowing here right now and in a few minutes I am off to babysit my little grands -so I will have to drive in the snow. Oh well......
I have a good part of Christmas packed away for another year.
Our friends have left -- so now it is back to cleaning up around here. Laundry room is next as the new pair will be delivered tomorrow. No more loud squeaking, so bad that even with the door closed, it will drive you nuts!
Well, I am off -do something fun today!
Hugs,
Jana

Good to see you Joanne!
Dorothy - I am on hold for now with my buggy in the shop still. A treasure stash is unguarded in the NW? Tempting!
Miriam - I'm not sure what that bathroom is plumbed in, but it is only (only!) twelve years ago when David put it in. It is on a west-facing wall, so if there is sun, that wall gets warmed up in the afternoon.
Sharona - Have you looked at electric baseboard heaters for the new building?
