SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Dec 28th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Dec 28, 2013 3:25 am

Good Morning!

We don't have to go anywhere today! And no one is coming here! I'm still fiddling around with the Christmas decorations, putting a few away, and leaving some out to enjoy a little longer. I think DH will be done working on the trailer wheels this morning so it can come down off the jacks. Then I can go in, take inventory of everything, and start making packing lists for our winter travels. Though we won't be leaving for another 10 days or so.

My menu well has run dry. I don't have a clue what to make for supper tonite. Maybe pancakes. I remember when Mom made pancakes for supper, she usually 'beefed' them up with shredded cheese or creamed corn in the batter. and occasionally cooked, crumbled bacon.

Also, I have to take an appetizer to a gathering on Monday. Does anyone have a favorite appetizer they like to make? I'm taking suggestions, trying to find something different.

Good Morning - My DH's brother will be coming over in the late afternoon to spend the evening. I have been thinking of making Navy Bean Soup and serving the cornbread that is already made and in the freezer. I might be pizza though.

Maryz - I must admit to liking vegetables for an appetizer. Maybe a cheese plate. I do not eat appetizers very much unless there is not a meal being served.

Carol, thanks. I like veggies, too. The meal we're going to is all appetizers - several couples are each bringing something different. I know veggies are covered. I was just a few minutes ago thinking of deviled eggs . . . But still looking for ideas. I can change my mind until Monday.
