Holy Cow! I can't believe I am starting this thread this morning.
Yesterday was a pretty fun day for me. I was able to make some pink and white blocks to send to Judi.
Not much going on for today. Just a lazy day, I guess. But hey, those are fun now and then. Sit and read a book or something.
Hope you all find today a FUN day doing whatever comes your way.

Good Morning Everyone,
Up earlier than usual this morning. We'll be going to our first Christmas luncheon today. I'm making baked beans and carrot salad.
I got my 120 4-patches completed for my Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt yesterday. I am sooo enjoying the process. Lots of tiny pieces...
Christmas is around the corner and I'm not ready. So much baking, house cleaning, and I'm NOT decorating anything more. Packing up candy boxes for family members, washing windows, and scrubbing porches this evening.
It's not daylight yet, it's peaceful---my favorite time of the day. It's nice to be the first one up. Enjoying that first cup of coffee.

Good Morning Cotton Pals
Well it looks like everyone is still sleeping
in or maybe doing their Christmas stuff.
Someone did ask yesterday about my Gotchie boxes
They are decorative boxes for the grandkids filled with
gotchies (underwear) and socks.
When we were kids we used to refer to our underwear as gotchies,
I have some shopping to do yet but that can wait until tomorrow morning I have to start wrapping and now I am coming down with a cough.
I am going to work on my blocks for my quilt after the holidays,
I have 14 made
Have a wonderful peaceful day my friends.

Re: Saturday, Dec. 21st
Good MOrning Velda and Tess and the rest of the quilting world. We got moved into our new patio home on wed, the 18th. Still hunting for things and not all boxes unpacked. Been a wee bit busy lately and needed to get ready for the winter storm moving in too.
We love our new place. The day after we moved in, we went to a potluck and met some of the delightful folks that live here. Haven't met an unfriendly one yet. Will probably see more at coffee on MOn. I came home with more food than I took from the potluck. The ham cook handed me a foil pack as we were leaving and told me to make some ham and beans. I was surprised at the all the odd and end pcs of ham she had tucked in there.
Another lady offered me some choc covered pretzels to take home. I only wanted a few for my DGDs but she found a plastic bag and dumped all the tray into it and said to feed it to somebody. LOL I also had left over Jiffy Corn Casserole, made with Jiffy cornbread mix. Yummy. Finished that off last night for supper. Rod was scraping out pan and decided to dump outside by trees for the birds.
Well, Rod woke me up very early this am to see what was eating our scrapings. I thought it was a large cat but then I saw the white stipe and bushy tail. Yes, a skunk was visiting before sunrise. Sure was pretty tho, all decked out in his black and white tuxedo.
I want to thank you all for your prayers for safe travels, finding a new home, and all the other prayers too. YOu are all my angels. Wish I could invite you all over for tea and cookies. But first I have to bake the cookies. LOL
I made 3 big batches of peanut butter cookeis for DIL last week at her house. She was in a cookie exchange at her job. Started out, needed 3 1/2 doz. The day before the exchange, they changed that number to 6 1/2 doz. Big diff. I had already made a dry run on the recipe that was my grandma's. My son loved it. I only made a 1/2 recipe on that batch. The next batch made 5 doz. So on to the third time of baking cookies in 3 days. But they turned out great and she came home with 8 bags of other kinds of cookies, 6 or more in each one. What a nice treat before the holidays.
I haven't been on much lately. First our computer decided to act up and had to go back to original factory defaults and start over. Then when we got here and got cable tv and wifi hookups, will only work if connected directly. Having son look at it today. Should work all over the house.
We are waiting for a winter storm to arrive. Freezing rain, black ice, sleet, and then lots of snow. Supposed to come in last night but so far nothing. WE stocked up on food so we can just hunker down and watch all the fun out the window and stay cozy.
It is nice to be back on here again. I have missed reading so much in the past few weeks. You all are so busy getting ready for Christmas. I am still unpacking and can't find things. Took us two days to locate the silverware and I knew I had packed it. Poor Rod had to eat his eggs first morning with a plastic spoon we happened to find in a bag I carry in the car.
I know lots will sign on here later. Merry Christmas to all and May God bless you with a wonderful Christmas season or whatever holiday you are celebrating. Blessings for the new year too.
Hugs and love across the miles to all of you. Prayers for all in need, for better health and healing, for hope and love in the face of troubles, and for God to walk at your side thru life's daily storms.

Re: Saturday, Dec. 21st
Good morning everyone.
Boy, I am late. I am starting my baking marathon today. It will probably stretch into tomorrow also. I went for another mammogram yesterday. The radiation oncologist wants to make sure the calicifications are gone. Guess what they found?? 3 more. They are not in a clump. The radiologist recommended to just keep an eye on them. But, I would say that is up to the oncologist and my surgeon. I am going to try and get out in the studio today. We'll see. Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning ,,,warming up so now the snow is dirty and the mud is appearing...yuk I hate the thaws....
Had a great day with my sis yesterday,,,we did some shopping stopped at the local quilt shop to pick up my border kit...I may modify it a bit but it is all pieced and there are 5 borders. Sis and her hubby came back to our house after a chinese buffet and we made 5 labels for her Christmas quilts. She bought an embroidery machine but hasn't used the embroidery part yet,,,and this close to Christmas it was easier to do it at my house...than to learn it.
Today I will run to the grocery store and get the stuff for my Christmas eve dinner..and pick up another gift....LOL just when you think you are done.....this one can come from the Hallmark store next to the grocery store I need to go to. Just a hostess gift.
Well I need to get my hair combed and make my bed....then off I go.... Hope you all have a blessed day...XXXOOO

Good Busy Morning!
SUZ and SCRAPPY PAT - prayers for you both for successful treatments and future good health.
We've been so busy. No time in the morning to type as I usually do. My BIL is a very early riser so we sit and visit over coffee each morning. Then it's breakfast, showers, and we're off! Yesterdady we did a few errands, took poinsettia bouquets around to family graves, and met my Brother, Jim, and wife Terry (a quiet member of this forum) for lunch. We made two trips to the post office, then came home and cooked supper and Jim & Terry came over here.
Today my middle brother, Al, is coming to visit so it's off to the grocery store to get pizza makin's for lunch. Also my sis and I want to walk around downtown so she can see the changes and new shops.
Tonite - we're going to have a leftover buffet for supper and maybe a rousing Monopoly game.
Miss you all, and I hope to be back in all my wordy glory after Christmas! lol!
hugs around!
