Good morning,,,today is ken's actual birthday he has a union dinner tonight so we celebrated it sunday....My sis 2 sons and Ken are all members of the same Pipefitters Local 636...they have awards dinner tonight and my sis gets her 25 year pin/ Ken has been a member since,the 70s and got all the others in....it is only open to members so I will stay home and work on putting my BOM quilt together,,,,I have one block to remake....i switched out the borders and it does not look good. so I will redo them...and start the assembly....Since all of the blocks are prequilted the quilt will only need outline quilting to hold it together..this quilt will have double batting on all the blocks making them poof a little. I did finish the pillowcases last night...I will watch the hockey game tonight too...

Sis and I were suposed to go to Ikea today but it snowed and she is behind on her chritmas gifts so we canceled and will go next week....it was a for kicks trip anyway.

Well it has been enough time for my bone pill to work so now I can have coffee and toast,,,,Hope you all are enjoying the process getting ready for Christmas...XXXOOO

Izzy - you have crushed my German heritage spirit. I only heard about the pickle after I was an adult and my grandpa was already in heaven. It just never dawned on me that grandpa didn't do a pickle in the tree. So much for that. LOL

Maryz - glad your wood's done. I do think you need a rest b-4 your sister gets there.

Kathy - we weren't threatened with coal. Down here we don't use coal. Our threat was sticks in our stockings. We never got any sticks but my sister should have.......LOL LOL LOL.

Gotta get busy.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning! We had a beautiful day yesterday… 65 degrees! It will be cooler today, but sunny and that makes all the difference! I have a birthday cookie to make and decorate today, then delivery tomorrow. We are going to a funeral this evening then out to eat with friends. In between I hope to get to my sewing room…

Maryz I am in awe of you and Bill....4 cords. My god, where do you get the energy? Are you on drugs? LOL

MaryQ - Bet you are relieved that another year of SS is over. You did a fantastic job. You are another one with over the top energy.
I use to have so much energy, but now, not so much. Wonder why?

Tina - I am jealous that you get to spend so much time with that adorable new grandson. I certainly miss my Reagan. But they send me pictures and videos on my phone.

Chriss - Loved the picture of you and the kids. Hope you enjoy your week off of work and a very Merry Christmas to you.

Today I am having lunch with a couple of friends from TOPS. Can't imagine what I am going to order, we have a weigh in on Thurs. These two gals do not seem to be worried about it. sigh.

Well new tails (lol) about my devil dog and DH. The other night I was heading to my sewing room and there lies Devil Dog in the living room with torn paper all around him, and it is green. Hmmmm I walk over and I can see that it is money. Screaming to DH to come help me because this adorable devil dog ran around the dining room table. We told him to drop it, he did. It was a torn up $20 bill. We got all the pieces and DH is going to tape it together and take it to the bank. Somewhere I did hear that if you send it back to the (oh what is it called - the place that makes money), they will replace it. Is this like the dog ate my homework. LOL Apparently, he went into the bedroom and got the money from DH night stand. So obviously it is DH fault. LOL

Not done yet, last night Devil Dog took a snowman door hanger off the front door knob and tore it apart. Soooooooo now he is in the dog house and he doesn't have one. So the gate went up and he is confined to the kitchen/AZ room. Isn't he just so cute? UGH! But still love him. Hmmmm maybe that is where my energy is going, chasing the dog around. LOL

Well I better get going. My Christmas sewing is all done and now I am working on placemats --embroidered and quilted.

Cindyg I am sorry. I just laugh when I hear people say the "German tradition" LOL I had to email my brother in Germany a picture of it cause he was dumb founded had no clue what I was talking about. So funny.

Chickie keep the warm temps coming You know what you get I get a couple days later. We dont have those winds here to push it any faster:))

We set up tree last night DH cut it off our DS property:) Sooo pretty. Going to decorate tonight a bit. Put nativity under it last night:) Its huge we had to cut another foot of it off after bringing it in. DH didnt measure just eyeballed it well needless to say hes blind LOL

Made cookies to bring to work today. DH knocked the whole tray out of my hands this AM when I was heading out to work LOL Can you believe the tray didnt flip and fell flat and only broke a couple of cookies and none of them hit ground. Amazing it was:)

Kathy did you like seeing goat birth. They are so slimy when they come out but in no time so cute and cuddly. Isnt it amazing how much fur they have too. Alaska oooooohhh tooooo cold for me:)

Well lunch time almost over and back on the hunt I go LOL to find more elves:)

good evening everyone. Gosh I am so glad to hear that everyone is as busy as we are, I am trying a new recipe tonite called crockpot candy. I guess you just layer it all melt on low for three hours, stir it up and out in paper muffin cups to set. Has anyone tried this before?
Torrie is doing better. We saw her on Sunday and she was on and off but better. Her buzzed hair cut looks really nice and he is so into knit hats.
We are waiting to hear from the specialist team on Myles. They were having some conference today to discuss the next step. He is still loving his dum dum lollipops.
Well almost time to close up the office so I will see you all later.

Hi everyone! Gosh I've been having a hard time getting on here but we're enjoying our days I took some time today to quilt a Christmas quilt for one of my moms friends, she wanted to be able to give it as a gift for Christmas so I did my best. Been baking and running around with DD, having a blast with Jazmyne and Easton. I hope you all are having as much fun as us!
Carole, LOL I see you are having some fun....LOL I just can't help it, that little Devil Dog is just something else what a silly dog he is.

Update: DH taped the $20 bill together and took it to the bank and they took it and gave him an unchewed one.
