Monday, December 16

Post by suzette58 » Sun Dec 15, 2013 10:29 pm

Good morning everyone.
Well, I have some good news about my friend. Another girl we went to high school with found her a bed at a Salvation Army shelter. She was coming to get her last night and taking her there. So, things are looking up somewhat for her. Our new grand baby was able to come home yesterday evening. I haven't talked to my step daughter yet to find out everything. Today after work I am hoping to get out in my studio and get to work on Lydia's quilt. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Suzette and all who follow,

All weekend I spent baking and now it's all done today I have PT and then I will be going out to do some shopping Friday when I went to the DR's I was told that I can start driving and also I have to continue PT my foot is still stiff the DR told me that I Shattered my ankle in 3 places and it takes up to a year before it will get back to some kind of normal so I will have to grin and bear it.

Im going back to work as planned so January 6 th will be it on Friday I got a cookie gram from work it's really nice.

Im happy to see everyone has received their SS package I have been looking on there to see.

Scrappy Pat PM me asking for help to take pictures off here Phone and put it on QIAD but I told her I was not that savvy.

Suzette Congrats on your new Lydia I hope you get to sew her quilt and am glad your friend was able to help your other friend to find shelter.

Well everyone have a great day.
Prayers go out to all in need.

good Morning!

SUZ - so happy to hear your friend has found a place to stay. Perhaps the Salvation Army can help get her on her feet again. They do wonderful things for folks. Also good news that Lydia is home from the hospital. Did they find a light for her or did her bilirubin drop enough to let her come home without one?

LOIS - That's great news that your ankle will be well enough to go back to work as planned. It was such a bad injury. Do you have much snow?

Today should see the last of the wood! I sure hope so. I have other things to do. I finished my koi wallhanging and after my dental appt this morning and am going to go look for a decorative rod to hang it. It's such an odd size that it would take a custom frame and mat, which I priced at Michael's. With the 50% off sale (that they always have) it would be more than $250 to frame it, so it will hang as a little quilt.

We had 53* and blue skies yesterday! Great to be working outside in it!

have a great day!

Good morning

Mary, try patchabilities.com for a hanger.. they have scads to choose from...

Scrappy Pat, can you e-mail the pictures to yourself from your phone then load them onto photo bucket?

My weekend flew by.. seems I was running here or there the whole time. I am on vacation next week and have decided I want to hit some thrift stores. I could use some new clothes and found a couple of decent shirts yesterday so I am on a spree.

I found some cranberry Thomas English muffins that I will have with my cereal this morning.. and I also found a big turkey that we can have for Christmas dinner...

since I didn't hit the power ball lottery I will be off to work.. you all have a fun day.

Good Morning to all.

Just a quick note. Lois: If you or any other pal here wants help posting pictures. We have the greatest tutorial posted in the Quilt Photos Topic. Posted by Gershwin64. Look for it at the very top of the Quilt Photos Section.

She did a wonderful job of teaching us all "how to". I learned to send pictures directly from my phone to photobucket. That is so much quicker than downloading to computer, then uploading to Photobucket.

Jules: Good luck with the theatre. You are so sweet to make this. what a very special gift!!!

Glad for the news of your friend Suzette: Hope things go better for her in the future.

Maryz: Hope your wood cutting and splitting job will be completed. That is so much work. Makes my back ache just thinking about you and DH and Scottie working so hard.

Hope you all find time to play a little today. I have to get groceries, clean house, and do laundry. Wonder if I will get it ALL done??? LOL

Good Very Cold Morning...

Just a quick hello. I'm off to babysit for my sister's DGD so she can go to the Dr's. Once her son gets home & picks up "fussy pants" we'll go shopping & a stop at the dollar store. Love the dollar store.

I saw a "Christmas" quilt in a Hallmark movie. It was a Log Cabin very deep & dark reds & greens with white as a contrast. There were red Poinsettias appliqued on too. Breathtaking....I'll make on of those for me. I'll use El's patterns. It was so beautiful

Love & Prayers to all in need & thank you for answered Prayer......Kathy

Was asked if I could help out with a project to get them made and I said yes...I cut them out and will sew them tonight.. so glad they are fast.....I need to wrap a few gifts and done done done....so I will cruise through the rest of the holidays... Tomorrow Ken will go to a Union dinner with our boys...they all belong to the same local....and I will have an evening free to sew....or watch Hallmark Movies..might just do nothing (not)

Good morning! We are supposed to be in the 50s today—so nice for all the running around I need to do. I’ve got to call and get my truck in for some repairs. Saturday it was running rough and the “check engine soon” light blinked several times. It also has trouble with “Park” and wants to stay there—that definitely needs to be checked! I don’t want to be stranded somewhere. I have medicines to pick up, and I will be going to see Mom. Tomorrow and Wednesday will also be crazy busy days… ‘Tis the season…

Suzette—good to hear your friend found shelter and your grandbaby got to come home.

Becca—the warmer weather is such a nice change—I’m more motivated when I’m not freezing. Good luck on the runners!

Judi—sounds like you had a wonderful time yesterday! Where did our energy go? Now that I have time, I wish I had the energy I had 60 years ago… Your quilt is going to be beautiful!

Kathy—the quilt sounds beautiful! Have fun babysitting!

Velda—I have the same chore list… good luck!

Chriss—how exciting to be on vacation for Christmas! Maybe someone on here will win the lottery and share…

Jules—so sorry to hear about your cold. You need to think about moving to Las Vegas! The puppet theater should go pretty smoothly, I hope. It is too cute and can’t wait to see yours!

MaryZ—Did you have a pattern for the koi? I have a resident picture frame maker… as long as you like rustic barn board. When I get some wall hangings made for the kitchen, he will frame them for me. The “when I…” is the hard part. I keep having more things to do…

Lois—congratulations on driving again! Take it easy.

I need to get busy and get started calling for appointments, meds… Have a great day!
