Tuesday, December 3rd

Post by suzette58 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 10:25 pm

Good morning everyone.
In case you didn't get to read posts from late yesterday, my biopsy results came back clean. No more surgery!! Just radiation now. I didn't realize being off for just one week would make a difference. I was really tired when I got home. I got my first Christmas card yesterday and it was from our Christmas card swap. Well, another day of work. So, I better get ready. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning to Everyone one Cloudy & wet here.A day to stay inside.

Suzette What wonderful news.Am not surprised you are tired from work.Surgery has a way of doing that.

The cost to ship to DGS in Lorea was 14.87 for the biggest box. They have special boxes for the Military.Oh but he is worth every cent & lots lots more.

We got that done & I did wrap some presents for DG's.Still do not have all my energy.

IZZY My DD is an AIG Facilitator & she has been testing at 5 schools for 2 wks.All seems unnecessary.

Thanks for all your get well wishes.Washer is going so must go & eat.
Have to wait an hr after antibodic to eat....Becca

Just a quick a stop in. Hope everyone has a good day.

Suzette - That is great news about your biopsy. Take care and rest if you need it.

Becca - Glad you are feeling better. You are really on the ball getting your military gift out yesterday. I have to get my package out to Okinawa this week also. If you only had to pay $14.87 you got off cheap. I have spent as much as $50.00 to send a box overseas for my Marine sons family.

Lois - Have fun shopping today. I finished mine yesterday, but I only have to buy for my DGS's since the adults don't exchange gifts anymore. It is definitely a lot less stressful. My Dad always said that Christmas was for kids. He was right when it came to gift buying. I don't need anything more to dust. LOL

Well, better go get DH some breakfast. Hope to get some sewing done today.

Good Morning.

I had to take time to go back and read the rest of yesterday's postings. I got so wrapped up in my quilting yesterday, that I did not get back on the computer.

MaryQ: Oh, how I hope you get this gal OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!! It has been a nightmare for you, ever since you opened your home so generously to her. Better to loose a friendship than to have your house ruined!!!

I mentioned the Hallmark movie, but I guess none of you saw that it was on the network programing on Sunday night. It was about a man with his wife on hospice and he wanted to give her the best Christmas ever. He built a ferris wheel in his back yard. Hard to explain the whole story in a short space. Wish you would have seen it, it was beautiful.

I got all my quilting finished and all I have left now is the hand sewing on the facing of the prairie points on the ends. I will try to post pictures when I finish.

Also, I found two neat gifts for grandkids on line and it was free shipping. Sent an email to my DDIL and gave her the heads up so she can wrap them and put them under the tree.

Found two more gifts for another family at our local WalMart and will tuck those gifts for those grandkids in with the table runner and other gifts when we send to them.

So I just need to get all my projects finished and then find the right size box. I love the excitement of Christmas, don't you???

Won't be long and we will be getting our Secret Santa Boxes. We will all be like little children with all the anticipation of "what's in that box???" It's fun to be a kid again, even if it is "in spirit" LOL

Have Fun today. It's good for us to make time to have a little fun each day.

Hugs

good morning.. happy tuesday. it was so busy at work yesterday, but everything is caught up and that is a blessing

Maryz.. glad Bill is ok... hope those KOI fish get figured out.. sounds like you had a busy yesterday too.

Maryq.. scarf's and snow, sounds cozy...sorry you are having tennant troubles... it's always hard to live with someone.. but next time your family comes to visit you want them to be able to stay with you so you and the girls can have an all night jammie party.

Kathy, hope the dentist worked out for you.. sorry Kim can't go back to work yet... gosh that girl has some fight in her, she's really been through a lot...

Judi, I love pictures you post during Christmas.. hope Sophia's recital is the best two minutes ever...you are a busy girl...

Jules, I took your advice and last night sent Marilyn to the shower.. she thought she should get a $180 pair of headphones for Christmas...so after explaining to her that I wasn't spending that much money on headphones I sent her to the shower, she came out of the bathroom just fine...I do believe the yard will be raked and she will be the cleanest kid on earth between now and Christmas..lol...Charley has really turned out wonderfully... you are blessed.

Cindy, I love my roaster.. I inherited two from my grandma.. one died.. it was a Westinghouse and had fabric around the cord.. the other gets too hot but works great for a ham or turkey.....hope you get yoru quilt figured out.. glad to see Vicky still sewing.. congrats to her son

Sharona, well? did the walls get lifted.. I am living my outbuilding dream through you...lol... we will get one but it won't likely be too soon. will yours have plumbing? a potty and sink are a great thing to have... I am so glad you like where you live.. makes for a nice life.

Karlene.. glad there were many port a cribs to hold Harley... I would have gladly helped if I were there..that is one love kid.. and funny that they had to bring so much stuff... here a store pre-made dinner is about $50 and includes tureky, rolls, mashed taters and gravy..so you're saying Mar should grow out of it around 14... phew, only 4 more years of this...lol... we are going to have to come up with more jobs for her to do...lol..

Chickie.. the ducks that swim alike sound cool to watch.. nice of DH to bring brunch.. hope you got lots done..

Izzy, I would love to experience non verbalism for a day or two.. wanna trade...lol

Jana, had you packed the boxes with the ones needed first in front DS would have brought you the right ones...lol... how long does it take you to decorate.?

Mel.. hope your back to your old self soon.. probably just some med adjusting needed.. I commute 30 miles each way...but an hour would be along drive...

Suzette, what a huge blessing.. I am so thrilled for you...

Lois.. hope your shopping gets done.. I got an e-mail from somewhere today about cyber tuesday.. guess they are going to drag it out as long as possible..

Becca, it's wet here too... not sure about the cloudy part, it's still dark.

Sherry, I am glad it doesn't cost you a fortune to ship packages...

Tina, happy pt day.

I ate the last of the turkey pot pie for lunch yesterday.. if you all have enough leftovers I suggest making it with a stuffing top.. it was just so good. I am anxiously waiting for my SS package... guess my Santa knows I love to shake presents and also knows that I sometimes peek...lol...

I need to get going, you all have a super duper day,
Chriss

Good Morning!

SUZEETTE - such wonderful news! You couldn't have a better birthday present. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Sorry you have to work today, like you said yesterday - it pays for our habit. When do you start your radiation?

LOIS - I still have 75% of my shopping left to do, too. I'm not usually so late either. And the worst part is - I don't have a clue what to get anyone! For Bill and me, our Scottie is our Christmas gift this year. But we'd still like a few little things under the tree.

BECCA - Hope you're running races before long! Postage is terrible now. We paid almost $17 to mail a large size, flat rate priority box to my DD in TExas. And it wasnt' even her Christmas box. And 2 weeks ago, we received 2 packages in the mail, both damaged, but one so badly that they had put all the contents in a big open postal tote. Then we received a 'cover letter', saying, sorry, this letter was damaged, but there was no letter that arrived! Finally, we mailed a 5x7 manilla envelope to Texas to Dd and it never got there. All this in one week! I do notice that their new Priority rate boxes are much flimsier than they used to be. I use a lot of tape when I mail items in those.

SHERRY - congrats on getting your shopping finished! I don't usually stress much over it, but I better get busy pretty soon or I'll start!

TINA - I woke up this morning thinking of your pretty tree! Loved the photo on FB.

VELDA - you are on the ball with everything! We may put up our tree today. Or tomorrow, anyway. I'm miles from mailing my Christmas gift package to my DD - which, I think, is the only package I have to mail. But I still have to fill it!!

My dental 'procedure' (don't you just love that gentle word, "Procedure" instead of the more accurate "torturous, gouging, surgery"? lol!) really wasn't so bad. I only had to have 2 sutures and now I can wait for a few weeks before going to my regular dentist for more impressions. Today, my reward for being a good little dental patient is a massage! aaahhhh. . . . And I'm going to make some batches of cappuccino mix and put it in decorated jars to use for Christmas gifts. That should be my day!

Have a terrrific day!
