SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Dec 1st

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Dec 01, 2013 2:55 am

We have wind and rain this morning. And I had to take Scottie out TWICE. Poor pitiful me!

BECCA - we only cut our tree because we had to get it before the big mountain snowstorm that's predicted for today - we're not putting it up for a few more days. We found trees stay fresher if they sit in water for several days before coming into the house. But we need it up by next weekend because we're having a holiday dinner party and want the tree for that.

JO - those leftovers have been feeding us, too, but tonite will be new food, I think.

JANA - smart of you to use your deck for refrigeration! Just don't let it freeze! lol!

IRISH - I did post photos of our tree-fetching trip over in Photos. It was fun! Show Jim and give him a raspberry for me!

Today will be picking up fallout from having a puppy in the house. And working on a wallhanging of koi fish for my DD for Christmas. I'm not thinking I have anything else going on today.

Supper - Our leftovers are gone so I'm thinking stirfry over rice. DH really likes that and I bought the fresh veggies for it just before TG. I'll prep them early in the day though because come 5pm, I'm never in a mood to be in the kitchen for long!

How are the leftovers holding out at YOUR house? are you ready for new food, too?

Good morning!

Welcome home, Carole!

Sitting here in the church pew, waiting for the meeting to start.

Dinner - good question -I will see when we get home.

Dorothy - tell Jim that I am sorry that the other team we root for, Stanford, beat Notre Dame last night, but it was a very good game.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good Morning to all.Our computer was not working this AM.Sunny & mild today.

MARYz We used to always let our tree sit in water as it makes it stay fresh longer. That looked like a real adventure to get tree.We used to always go & cut ours.It is after all only 3 wks.

JANA Your little Ethan sounds like a cutie.I used to always use my porch every TGiving & Christmas as the frig would not hold it all.I wouldcover it & leave over nite unless it was freezing. It still serves me well for chilling down food.

CAROL We have missed you & hope to hear more from you.

We still have leftovers & I even cooked some turnips yesterday too.But C.A.said last nite a pizza would be good.So today it is salad
& pizza.Goodies are available too.....Becca

Good afternoon from dreary, chilly, SW. Pa We did see Mr. Sun for about 3 min. earlier today but now he's hiding......

Mary, yes, we're ready for new food, just don't know what it might be.....I picked up the paper this morning and there is a coupon for KFC, and I started to say, maybe we'll have to stop and Jim just looked at me like I was crazy...I guess he's worried about sprouting feathers so we'll have t go easy on the poultry stuff.......

Jana, You're not going to believe this one....We were so into the Auburn beating Alabama, we missed the whole 1st quarter of ND...But, you're right it was a good game...

Carol, so happy to see you....Been wondering about you and hoping you were OK....

Becca, hope you're back to feeling your normal self again...But, you still have to take it easy....Pizza and salad sound good....

Well, I think we're going to go to Kevin's (hope they're leftovers are gone)...I do have to stop at JoAnns...I'm trying to finish another Tshirt quilt and ran out of backing????

I guess that means, I'm not cooking and if there's nothing at Kevin's it might be burgers on the way home......I did get a big bag of chips this morning, so I can always fill up on those..(just don't let the doc know).......

Happy eating...................
