Saturday, November 22
Good morning everyone.
I guess I slept a lot yesterday so I can't sleep now. That's ok. Surgery went well. Today my sister in laws are supposed to come by. One is hubby's brother's widow. She is up to go to Arlington Cemetery where he is buried. The other is hubby's sister. She is a survivor as well and wanted to come to the hospital. But, she isn't feeling well herself so we thought it would be better for her to stay home. I am hoping to get out to my studio today but don't know if I will make it. I want to at least check the heat in there cause we are supposed to get some really cold temps tonight. I might have tuck Nina the Bernina in with a quilt. Have a wonderful day. I will check back later.

Good Morning Suzette Lois & all who follow.Cloudy & supposed to turn real cold.
JUDI So sorry about your friend.
SUZETTE Please do not over do.So glad your surgery went well & the neighbor had key.
Did not get to read everyone's post yesterday as I am madly working on runner.Hand quilting it now.Wish a LAQ lived close. But I will make it as I got it half quilted yesterday.Fabric is even prettier than it looked on line.Even matches my DD's paint in her dining room.
Today is Quilts of Valor day & it is an all day thing. We have lots of quilts to do before Feb.Enlisted help of other groups as we need 64.
Have a wonderful day .To all those with snow stay warm.
IZZY SO sad about your Luckey. That would be the tough part losing them. Becca

Good Morning,,,It is cold cold cold frost everywhere,,,,,I am off to DDs house today to help her get some stuff done...Sophia'a new bedroom set is coming today and of course the room is not ready. (That's my DD) so I will go and play with the kids and feed them and help with the laundry.....not sure how this is going to play out with the in-laws there,,,,,maybe they will leave. keep your fingers crossed. Ken is driving down to Amish country to pick up the bedroom set with Jeff...it is about a 3 hour drive with a u-haul/ so there is a lot of furniture to move as her MIL put her spare furniture up there too. Yikes....my poor DD just tries to keep peace...
Well I need to get t hecar warmed up...I will be back later to check in.
Suzette so happy you are mending....take it easy for a few days....let yourself heal......i followed my own advice and it was good...
I am so truely blessed to have you all in my life....I might try to get the BC quilts to Annebelle tomorrow...Have one more Christmas gift to do....then the shopping.......have a great day,,,XXXOOO

Good Morning!
SUZ - happy to see you are up and around and chatting with us! How extensive was your surgery? Hope your day is painfree and restful. Don't overdo!
LOIS - I hope you're up to the sale today at F.W. Tuck a book in just in case . .
BECCA - when do you have to have your runner finished? Glad your fabric was a hit!
JUDI - so sorry about your friend's dx. Of course, she needs a quilt! Didn't your DD's in-laws move into their house when the kids moved to MN? Are they still there? What a crowd of furniture it must be! Is she nice? My children all have horrible in-laws. Hope your day goes smoothly!
I have my binding and label ready to go this morning, so that will be another project in the can. I might even get a photo posted today. Then - it's ugly time! I did get the laundry done yesterday, but there's lots more chores to choose from. Maybe I should make a job jar like Mary Q's. Would it be cheating to just keep drawing jobs until I get one I'm in the mood for? Would it be cheating to salt the jar with things like "Sew a quilt", or "make a tablerunner"??
Hope you spend some time in high cotton today!

Re: Saturday, November 22
good morning..
today is shopping day, it will be fun.. I have decided we will go to whichever stores Mar wants to go to... it will be her day...with one exception.. I need a new curtain rod and a step stool...
Maryz.. I like your dream.. I wish everyone lived next door to me.. it would be an odd looking house with lots of doors but we could have a sew party every night...when Kennedy died I was 4 months old.. don't remember what I was doing..but Jerry is just so into the conspiracy surrounding his death, his dream is to go to Dallas and see where it all happened...
Cindy, your Christmas cowboy boots are so cute... they will be an adorable quilt.
ShirleyMae.. glad you'll be in your new place for Christmas... and glad you made it there safe.. and congrats on the new granddaughter..what a blessing.
Sharona, funny... you just moved and are looking for a box... It takes me about a week and a half to need a tank of gas.. I average 39 MPG per tank..I drive a minimum of 60 miles each weekday...I love this car.
Kathy, I think it's neat you will help make meals for the homeless.. will the grands help too? what a great experience for them.
Chickie.. I would love to meet you half way to get cookies...
Maryq.. hope your weekend goes just as you plan.. it would be wonderful to finish some projects... I looked at patterns last night and have so many more than I will ever finish.. I did pull out all my pink scraps... but that's as far as I got
O'Dorothy, you have 3 hours to get here and join us for a girls day.. it includes lunch probably at Applebees and if we can fit it in it includes a shared molten lava cake.. yum yum...
Chrissy.. I am so thrilled Myles is loving the cards.. how cool to be him.
Suzette, it's good to have you home.. continued prayers...
Velda, gorgeous table runner.. it's a great pattern...and you picked perfect fabrics..
Lois.. sorry you're being dragged to a fabric sale.. it's so hard to be you...lol.. hope it's not too crazy so you can find a treasure or two.
Judi, happy grandkid day...lol... sounds like a busy place to be.
and now I am off to sew something, not sure what yet.. and then who knows what...
you all have a super day,
Chriss

Good Chilly Morning! Whew it is cold this morning 43*, hard to believe it was in the 80's a couple of days ago.
We are going to get the camping trailer out of storage this morning and start getting it ready for our Thanksgiving trip to Tulsa. My DGS Gage is racing his BMX bike and this is the Grand Champion of the year race. We must be there!!! LOL I will be preparing our dinner and bringing it. Can't imagine trying to cook in that dinky oven the camper has.
I have a binding to sew and I will be finished with my Christmas sewing. Woo Hoo
Maryz- Watch for your mail person
Suzette- So glad things went well with your surgery. God Bless
Judi- Holler if you need anything for the BC quilts.
Have a good weekend!
Sue

SUE - happy TG cooking! I've cooked TG dinner in our trailer before. I did a turkey breast in the crockpot. That's how I do it at home, too. Purrfect every time! And I either buy rolls or bake them at home and freeze them to warm up later. congrats to your DGS on riding in the tourney! That will be exciting to watch!
CHRISS - Several years ago Bill and I saw the plaza and the book depository. It was a very emotional experience. You should make a vacation trip to go see it sometime.

Hi Cotton Pals:
Suzette: Happy the surgery went well. So nice now to have some support company come to visit. Hope Nina can keep warm.
For anyone who might be interested, Tina posted some hints about using Photo Bucket to post pictures. What a great job she did. Be sure to check it out.
Well, one of her hints was to post a picture from phone, direct to the web site. So of course, I had to try it. So, if anyone is interested in seeing the backing fabric that I am going to use on my Table Runners, go back to yesterday's post and page down to second page. I did an edit to add the picture below my other picture.
Tina's hints worked perfectly!!!
Only thing is the backing fabric is not rosey colored. It is more the shade of cranberry. The color does look good with the front. The part I liked the most was the way all the fabrics carried the Holly leaf theme.
It was fun choosing fabrics. I still don't know if the backing fabric will reach to make a back for all three of the runners. I know that I will have to piece one of them. Oh well, we love a challenge, right????
Hope you all enjoy your weekend. and keep warm. I think we are all in for some colder temps.
Hugs.
Velda

) (((((HUGS)))))
Velda, you're very welcome
)
Chriss, we went shopping yesterday for over 6 hours! I was so tired when we got home but then DD brought Easton over and I felt not a bit tired hehehe. Jaz stayed the night last night, she went shopping for about an hour with us after school, she got a real surprise; her Papa picked her up from school
)
We are 36* right now but it will probably dip a little with the sun fixin to come up. I'll be vacuuming today so I can make some banana nut bread to put in the freezer for some Christmas presents. Well I guess I'll scoot and see if I can get a little sleep.....I'm too tired to make since out of baking right now. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
