Good morning, good morning,
I have caught a cold so I need to stay away from the baby house for awhile so I don't share it with anyone. : (

I'm hoping to get one project pinned and sewn together today (it is just being turned like a pillowcase) and then that just leaves two to finish the quilting on and attach the bindings to. Then I can put my machine away and get ready for Thanksgiving.

Cindyg - I would love to have a sister who wanted to do Thanksgiving at her house! I need to update our decor too. With the newly painted walls, it just seems dated to hang up things that are 20+ years old, but I don't want to go out and get new right now - not till after the move.

Izzy - I feel so bad for Peanut - that would be hard.

Kathy - have fun babysitting!

Well, onwards and upwards!

Good morning everyone.
I started this morning to start the thread and couldn't figure out anything to say. That is unusual for me! I am off tomorrow and hopefully will get the quilting finished on my Secret Santa gift. It just jumped up and hit me that it is due to be mailed out soon. I am off all next week after my surgery and will get the rest of whatever I don't finish done tomorrow. Have to get back to work.

Good Morning Girls..

Woke up this morning and couldn't figure out what day it is..for a minute I thought it was Wednesday--so glad Lois post the Day here!!

Lois... How are the new shoes working out? I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that hasn't started their Christmas shopping yet! I do have my SS gift just about done and hope to get it in the mail this week.. HOPE to anyway

Karlene... bummer you caught a cold and can't go snuggle that baby! Hope it passes quickly! Does Victoria live close to you?

Suzette....Will be thinking of you on Friday!!! Lots of prayers for a quick recovery!

Izzy... so sorry about Peanuts...How old is your DFD?

Sosew.... Haven't seen you before! Welcome!!! Hope your cold passes quickly too... this is not the season to be sick!

Jules... Hey You!! Good to see you this morning!!!

Kathy.... how old is McKenna? Hope you have fun with her today and that she is a good girl for you.

Vicky...I'm not a winter person either... I dread the first big snow fall and driving in it. Hope you get some relaxing and sewing in today.

Judi... when you figure out how 2 people can have so many dirty clothes let me know, I'm still trying to figure out how one person (me) can make such a mess in the house! Prayers for your friend today too!

Cindyg... YEAH you don't have to cook! I'm still waiting to hear from my oldest DS to see what they are up to.. I think I'll just plan on NOT cooking, but have the kids come over later for desert. For energy try a RED BULL... the kids at work swear by them...

Well girls, I think I'm going to take advantage of the morning before I have to go to work and go down and sew a bit...

Hope you all have the most wonderful day

Good Morning!

DEB - so sorry to read the news you posted in Chit Chat. Will be saying prayers for you and Bernie.

LOIS - my SS is all together, too. And I've picked up a few things for Christmas - but not much!

CINDY - Since Diane loves TG and you love Christmas, you should just say now that each of you hosts your favorite holiday from now on. And then enjoy each other's decorations. I'm a terrible TG decorator. I have one tote and all the Halloween, fall, and TG things fit into it, with room to spare! I'm already putting out a few Christmas things.

SUZETTE - I've done that, too! Got all excited to be the first, placed my fingers on the keyboard, and then my mind went blank! I got nothin'! Hope you're able to get all your SS stuff finished tomorrow.

JULES - I was reading an article in my new McCalls Quilting mag about Liberty Dept Store in London and their fabric department. Actually, I just skimmed the first half. I'll really read it later. This is probably a silly question, but I was wondering as I read if you've ever been there.

SOSEW - hope you're feeling better soon!

KATHY - you know, today will be the day little MaKenna sleeps all morning long! I have that mint candy fabric. It comes in black background and white. I have the black. I love it.

BECCA - hope you don't have too much laundry to do - you want time to sew! I did 4 loads yesterday - one of quilt backing fabric, and 3 of Christmas clothes, towels, and table linens. I'm ready to go!

IZZY - I'm so sorry about the baby goats. Poor Peanut. and we had all those cool names picked out! I hope your afternoon at the dentist with DFD goes smoothly.

JUDI - It's so smart to plan a week's menu in advance. I've been meaning to do that - for about 40 years now! If it weren't for Supper club over in Chit Chat, I'd be standing in front of the freezer at 5:30 every evening, contemplating, with a hopeful DH peering over my shoulder.

VICKY - I vote for sewing today!

CHRISS - hope you get to work on time! You wouldn't want to miss a single moment of it!

PAT - hope you stay warm! Scottie keeps looking at our pet door, and studying how the cat keeps disappearing through the door! He barks at her when she's gone and then goes and sniffs it. One of these days, he'll figure it out. We purposely haven't been teaching him.

KARLENE - I don't look at my old Christmas things as 'dated'. I look at them as treasured traditions. But if you're wanting a new look, you're right - waiting until your move is smart. Any chance either of your girls would move with you? Hope you get over your cold quickly!

MARY Q, MARY R, CHICKIE, LUCIE, JANA, TINA, MEL, all the CAROLs and CAROLES, and everyone else - have a sewper day!

I almost have my Anvil Chorus finished so that's on today's schedule - along with piecing the backing for it and for my last quilt. Then some uglies and getting a pre-Christmas package ready to send to my DD in TX. That's my day!

I'm off to play Spin the Bobbin!

Good morning! I think I’m going to blow through here today like the Kansas wind… We got another bucket and a half of pecans yesterday. Who knew they were still up there. The wind is really bringing them down. We should be finished next pick-up or at least we will leave the rest for the squirrels.

As we were eating brunch yesterday we saw a big buck ambling through the hedge grove on the other side of the pond. He would stop and sniff around the ground before strolling along his way. One of the benefits of the leaves falling is getting to see more wildlife.

I got signed up for our insurance yesterday—changed plans and saved $160 a month between the two of us. Now… to convince DH that I should be able to spend the savings on fabric…

Yesterday was also a trip to town for some groceries, prescriptions pick up, and a short visit with Mom. She was making more neck pillows for my sister to take with her this week to another craft show. She sold several pillows and an apron for Mom last weekend.

I hope everyone has a super day!

Good morning!

Lois - happy food shopping. We are doing gift cards this year for Christmas. Thanks for the heads up about Deb - I'll go over there next.

Jules - great to see you!

Sosew - sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you're back on your feet soon.

Kathy - have fun babysitting! How old is Makenna?

Becca - so thankful that the doctor's report was a good one.

Izzy - ok that made me cry - poor Peanut. Gaining four pounds on a diet? Wow! Hope that storm passes quickly.

Judi - prayers for your friend. I bet someone is coming in and throwing stuff into the hamper - that's what has happened at our house. Have fun at the grocery store.

Vicky - yes, I guess winter is coming whether we want it to or not. Have a lovely visit with your sewing room.

Chriss - I had to redo my hairs after you blew through here....

Cindyg - how fabulous that you get to go somewhere else for Thanksgiving. Do you have to buy new ornaments, or do you just go through and use what you have. I'll check around here for some unused energy and send it to you if I find it.

Pat - aren't you brave to take the little doggie out in the cold. Brrr!

Karlene - sorry to hear you've got a cold bug also. How soon are you planning to move?

Suzette - I was wondering where you were! Have fun at work.

Maryq - enjoy your sewing this morning. I also wish I could go elsewhere for one of the holiday meals. My step-daughters do not cook and my DDIL from Russia is still learning about our holiday traditions. OH WELL I guess once I'm in the ground they'll figure something out. Although my step-daughters go to restaurants for their meals if we're not around so maybe not.

Maryz - I have no Thanksgiving decorations so you're ahead of me in that department. I also have no Halloween. Did you see those pictures of the puppy napping with his human brother? They were the cutest things I've seen in many a day. I assume Scottie will be too big to fit through the cat door at some point in time. Too funny how he barks at it.

Miriam - how sweet of you to leave pecans for the squirrels! Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

The guys are here with the cement for the floor of the outbuilding. Once it is poured, they can start framing. We're really glad they're pouring it today - we're getting really cold weather and snow Wednesday night so it should be cured before then. I'm halfway done with my SS stuff - I will be mailing it next Wednesday. We're headed to town later today - Costco and the like. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Good morning all from cold NW Ohio. Everyone is so busy with their SS gifts. I think I will have to check that out sometime. Not much going on here today. I have uglies to do. Think I will get my stuff out today for some new project. I have been wanting to do some lap robes for the VA hospital and have been putting it off. My asthma is much better today so I feel like doing something.

FarmChick - I agree with you. it is so nice to look out my back window in the morning and see deer by our pond.

Maryq - Don't feel bad. Since I retired that happens to me a lot. he one thing I do remember is I don't have to go out if I don't want too. LOL

Suzette - You are in my prayers for your surgery next week.

Karlene - Hope your cold gets better soon.

Cindyg - I love Cracker Barrel a lot, but the closest one for me is 40 miles away in either Fort Wayne or Toledo. Defiance is half way between the two cities. Next time you go think of me.

Judi - I will keep your friend in my prayers that it comes out well for her.

Izzy - I am so sorry for Peanut and you. I don't remember what kind of animal Peanut is, but it is hard for her to understand I am sure. I am an animal lover.

Becca - Glad you got a good Dr. report.

Sosew55 - Hope you feel better soon.

Well, better go start to get something done today. Prayers for all who need them.

Sherry

Girls girls girls - I still have to cook. I just don't have to cook the turkey. I will make dressing and a few pies and supply the cranberry sauce.......the jellied cranberry sauce in a can because my family won't eat it any other way. At least our girls are cooking something these days: my youngest DD is bringing broccoli/cheese/rice casserole, my niece is doing the green beans and my nephew's wife is bringing the spiral sliced ham. I don't think my oldest DD is coming. I always get stuck with the dang dressing.

I have fall decorations but I just didn't put them out this year. I usually put them out in Sept. but I guess we were still out of it because of Ed's death. Same reason we didn't do Wurstfest this year.

OK - it's back to work for me.

Good early afternoon from cold, dreary, Sw. Pa....Not a pleasant day but nice and warm inside.....

We've had a very trying morning....We had an early appointment at the Vets to have the new stray furbaby tested, given his shots and have his shoulder checked...This poor little fellow has been through so much but is a sweetie, very calm, very affectionate....He was such a trooper, letting them take blood, but didn't like when the vet had to shave to find the injury on his shoulder...It seems, he had been bitten and it had gotten infected...He was ready to give him a shot when they handed him the results of the leukemic test and sure enough, he tested positive.....My heart just sank, knowing they would have to put him to sleep...One of the assistants came running in and said, they have a lady that takes these furbabies and will be glad to take this one....You can imagine how those sad tears turned happy...I felt bad not bringing him back home but he's going to be taken care and hopefully will live a long, happy life....

Karlene, so sorry to hear you're not feeling up to par...For sure that cuts into baby time....You can tell David, he doesn't have to worry about me dropping a furbaby on your doorstep....Fell better soon....

Cindy, your arrangements sound like our's...One time they're eating here, the next it's been moved..I'm thinking I'll go to Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel, lol...We too only eat the cranberry sauce in the can...Before my youngest DS was married he went to the future "outlaws" for dinner (who served the real ones) and told his wife to be, he couldn't eat those cranberries, they didn't have ridges on them.....

Izzy, that's so sad...Feel so sorry for Peanuts, they do have feelings, don't they?...That diet sounds like the ones I'm usually on....

Becca, glad to hear you got a good report...That should make you sew happy.........

Well, I'd better get something done around here, even if it's wrong.....

You all have a great day............As Vicky says, "Keep Looking Up"
