Good morning Lois and those that follow.
Well, today is the last of the appointments before my surgery next week. Today after the appointments I am hoping to get out to my studio. Nina the Bernina probably thinks I have abandoned her. I am hoping to get my Secret Santa gifts done before next week. That way it will be ready for the post office. Have a wonderful day.
Lois - good luck at the dr and PT.

Nina the Bernina- Suzette that is so cute!
I have an Elna and her name is just plain El (I adopted that from our own El here
Lois I hope your Dr. and PT go well and your are able to return to work.
I got the binding on my Friendship Forest and started hand sewing it down. My goal is to have it hanging for Sunday when we have church here. But I have a very busy next two days so we will see!
We were invited for supper to a family in our fellowship tonight. So that is always very nice.
Have a nice Friday, the weekend is almost here

Good Morning Lois, Suzette, Vicky and all my other friends.
Up dark and early today. Already had first cup of coffee. Lois, I see that you had a little surprise from SS, too. Isn't it fun???
I worked on my Christmas Quilt yesterday. I am cutting the binding for it. I was going to borrow Lyn's bias binding ruler, but somehow I got started pressing the material and before I knew it, I was ready to cut the strips. Now the trick will be to get them sewn on and do the miter corners. That's where it gets tricky for me.
Pictures will be coming soon
))
Today is TGIF. Have a great day.

good morning everyone. Popping in to wish everyone a day filled with sunshine and flowers. Pretty soon it will be. Day filled with snowflakes and icicles, but don't wish that on anyone.
I know that you all tend to name your sewing machines and quilting machines, but do any of you name your quilts. Not your labels, but actual names?????? Call me wierd but I do.
Torrie got her port put in Tuesday and will start chemo in two weeks
Myles will get him second I fusion of remicaide today.
cousin Heather is doing great
Mo will be coming home for thanksgiving. wooohooooo. I think the airlines should be ashamed of themselves for jacking up the prices just before a holiday. "Just sayin"
have a super day
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to all in need
PINK WARRIORS you are the best.

Good Morning.....
Brrrrr there's ice on the lake. My sister invited me over for lunch so I'll stop over there after I run a few errands. Other than that I'll be working on toppers for Christmas. I need to find out where I'm making the mistake.
Lois....hope you here what you want about work. It will cut into you quilting.
Suzette.....I need to finish shopping for my SS so I can get her package in the mail before I fly off to TX. Good luck with your Appt.
Vicky....I never thought to name my machine. I know you can get that binding done. Although it sometimes seem to go on forever.
Suzette I took photos of last night's sunset....so orange with fluffy clouds.
Love & Prayers to all in need...........Kathy

Re: Friday November 15'2013
Good Morning,,,,,It is cold again (duh it is November) I had guild last night and a riot nearly broke out over the rules of the meeting electing new officers and women arguing and all. So I decided nt to renew my membership....it isn't worth it. A few nice ladies and a few good speakers but mostly catterwalling over who followed the rules of order and who didn't. Just tired of it. Might start a small sewing group and meet at each others houses for a sew-in. I drive quite a ways to go to this meeting and it isn't good at all....and very clickish////I get more enjoyment out of this group....and your not the quilt police either,
Today my sis and I are heading out to shop hop, and have lunch....Several quilt shops and some sisterly love as tomorrow is her Birthday,,,,I actually bought her ticket to a Red Wing game,,,so we will do that in January....We are taking the 5 year old to his first Red Wing Game also. (his ticket was free) that will be a blast. I am excited about that too.
Well I need to get a few chores done before my sis gets here,,,coffee baby kitty food. and ken might want breakfast before we leave....Chicken rice soup for supper tonight,,,will get that in the crock pot before I leave.
Hope you all have a great day....hugs and prayers to all as needed,XXXOOO
my machines don't have names I just call them "the Girls"

Re: Friday November 15'2013
Happy Friday, y'all!
LOIS - you said IF and when you go back to work. Are you thinking of not going back?
SUZ - good luck at your doctor appts, too! Hope you find yourself out in your sewing retreat today.
VICKY - hope you get that binding down. Since I started doing mine by machine, I can get them done in 30 minutes. And they don't look toooo bad. Not quite as good as hand, of course. But it's nice when time is critical.
VELDA - do any of your books show mitered binding corners? I think almost all of El's books illustrate this and she's so clear. Once you see her do it, it's becomes quite clear.
CHRISSY - My Bernie is "Stitch", named by my son. His wife's is "Zipper". My Janome is "Bridget". And yes, I do name some of my quilts and stitch the name onto the label. Not all of them, but the special ones. Glad MO is coming home for TG and yes, I think of it as 'gouging' when the airlines jack up their prices for holidays.
BECCA - we, too, name other things - our Camry is Bluebell, the red Dodge pick-up is Sparky, our fifth-wheel is Rover, our tractor is Scout, and our RZR/ATV is Red Rider. I've had a few names for DH over the years, too, but we won't go down that road. lol!
KATHY - your toppers sound fun to do and nice to receive. What's the problem you're having?
Today I hope to finish up my blocks for my latest quilt and get started on the piced sashing. I really should sneak a few loads of laundry in there, too.
We took Scottie for a long walk at the dog park just before dusk yesterday to tire him out so we could have a quiet evening. He had fun playing with another 4-mo old pup. And it worked! He slept through the evening. The downside came at 0400 this morning!! Yawn . . . . He's slowed down his growth a bit. He was growing an inch a week, but this week, he stayed the same, heighth-wise -13". he'll get weighed today at vet when he goes for his rabies shot. He's 16 weeks today!
now let's all go play Spin the Bobbin!
