SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Oct 26th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Oct 26, 2013 4:19 am

I'm baaackk!! And I see you all ate pretty well while I was gone! Razzleberry pie! Major Yum!!'

I made a small pot roast one night in the crockpot with the usual onions, carrots, and potatoes. I added 1/2 bottle of beer to cook it in. Oh, it was good! And I'm not normally a big beef fan.

So, was it Jana who was having a pot roast and thinking potatoes or rice? What about riced potatoes? I haven't made them in many years, though my ricer is always handy. Maybe this coming week . . .

Today is going to be a busy day of cleaning the trailer and doing a LOT of laundry, so supper needs to be quick and easy. I have homemade chili in the freezer and we like it over baked or boiled potatoes. Tonite, it will be boiled. With a salad. Topped with chopped green onions and shredded cheddar. and sour cream if I remember to get some at the store.

How's your supper plan coming along?

Welcome back Mary....You know we're anxious to hear all about the beach walking and how Scottie did on his 1st trip.....And hopefully pictures......I'm going to have to try some beer with the next roast, that is if Jim will allow me to "borrow" some.....

I'm having a major cleaning day here at our house...Kathy is coming tomorrow and I have to empress the "fellow"....I've made a partial shopping list and from what she tells me, "he'll eat anything and everything and leaves no leftovers"....

And as far as our dinner, we'll be cleaning out the frig also, so we're having a "mustgo buffet"......If I have time, I might bake some pies but we'll see....Right now, I could really go for a piece of that Razzleberry that Jana made......

Happy eating..................

Welcome home, Mary! You were certainly missed.

Tonight it will be leftovers from last night. Ham,green beans, potatoes and onions with cornbread. It is cold and windy here today...so anything warm will be welcome!

Earl and his son took all the window AC units out today...don't think we'll be needing them...the water in the bird bath froze last night..lol!
