Yes of course it's Thursday, Jim just left to help with the elderly bingo.....BUT, it's now lunch time and where is everyone????
It's a chilly, semi dreary day here in Sw. Pa...But, the forecasters are saying we're in for a warm up...I don't think they mean 75 but maybe close to 50 and sun......

Today is usually my run around day but not leaving the house until this evening...A gal friend is picking me up and we're going to another card party....AND that means, Jim will be on his own for dinner, poor fellow....But, I do have that taken care of....Another friend was selling hoagies for her grandkid's school and will be delivering 1 just in time for dinner.....Another day, no cooking for me but I'll sure be eating good at the party......

So, who's delivering your dinner or who's cooking.....

Hello IRISH & others.Sunny cool day here 51.Tonite low 20's.

Today is my Mother's Birthday.She would be 100.Still miss her & Dad a lot.She was a quilter too but they were all to keep us warm.You would have so many quilts you could hardly move.Good memories.

IRISH You enjoy your game.And the food too.

I got my big pot of vegetable soup cooked.So good on a cold day.And crusty bread too.Ice cream if needed for dH........Becca

Good Morning!
Tonight's supper will be poached "Mac n' Cheese", salad, potatoes and vegetables. I am so sure about dinner but undecided about lunch.

I finished making a back to a quilt this morning. Why is it we put off finishing something that really will not take that long? I also made the pillowcase for the quilt. I have the binding cut and need to sew the pieces together. (I cut the bias binding before I made the back!)

Becca - My DH and I decided to celebrate the day that would have been the 100th Birthday of our parents. His Mother died when she was only 58 years old and last year was the 100th anniversary of her birth. I bought DH a cherry pie. He was happy! My Mom is still alive at 96, so who knows we may celebrate her 100th with her!

Irishgram - Enjoy playing cards and have a great dinner.

Our heater was lit by the Gas Company this morning, so we are ready for the cooler temperatures. He said I did a really good job cleaning it too! lol

Hi there, y'all!

Busy day around here - babysitting the grands and picking up the bacon and sausage from the truck in the park. Lovely cuts of thick bacon.

Dinner last night was changed - all the kids showed up for Hot Dogs - the usual fare for opening day of the World Series. I got roped into playing a APP for my DSIL - he writes them for the company that he works for - you play during the sporting events that are on the TV - well I did pretty well for not knowing what I was really doing - 21st - of all the players across the nation. I might have to do it again tonight - we will see.... You can win prizes from the sponsers, but since I am a relative, I think that I get disqualified - oh well!!

Dinner tonight is leftovers from the chips, salads, and hot dogs. Michael will be here alone as I am babysitting.

Tonight I am taking the easy way out. Rib Eye steaks on the grill that have been marinating for 2 days. Also sliced tomatoes, and Spumoni ice cream. I can only get Spumoni ice cream around this time of the year through December so I eat it a lot. My Dad got me hooked on it.

Taking it easy all the way around today.

Hi Becca, today is my mom's birthday too...she would've been 84 yrs.old. She died 27 yrs. ago...sigh

I guess I should tell you I had nothing special for dinner but for lunch DS and I had shark, rice pilaf and steamed veggies at a restaurant called "Market Broiler" in Riverside. YUMMO!!! Maryz isn't around so I can 'fess up.
