Supper club, Oct.21, Monday.......

Post by Irishgram » Mon Oct 21, 2013 5:40 am

Good late morning from sunny, but chilly, SW. Pa....I'm hearing this might be our last "nice" day for awhile....How many days until Florida????

I wasn't too surprised to see an empty table but you know, even though Mary has deserted us, we still have to eat.....I sure hope they are having a great time...I'm anxious to hear how Scottie enjoyed his 1st camping trip.....

I have no plans for dinner except left overs...We had the Salisbury steak yesterday and there's enough for another meal...I have a Lioness meeting tonight and I'm serving so my oven is getting a workout....So far I've made a apple/walnut snack type cake and right now I have pumpkin pies baking...It's going to be hard getting them out of the house without Jim putting up a fuss...I'm sure there will be a little left over for him, I hope......

So what's happening in your kitchen, you are eating, aren't you?????

Happy eating............

Hello IRISH ,& all who follow.A beautiful day here after a chilly nite.

IRISH So glad your wedding went well.Ny DS's family always want the Salsbury Steak when they come.We call it Country fried steak. And I have to have creamed potatos & gravy.

Quilter7 CAROL When my DH found out I wrote what we eat on a blog he said you do not put that on do you.We eat so crazy, not like I used to cook.I call our meals a joke.

I plan to repot those plants & make some undies for the dolls I made.

WE had to go to town so we ate at Boiler Room.DH got steak tenderloin sliders. He said they were very good.I had the salad bar & 1/2 turkey sandwich on wheat berry bread.DH got his pound cake for later..Becca

Irish, we heard the "s" word too! Today reached 64 deg...off and on sun, but the nights for the next week will be in the mid 30's..a chilly week. And even though it is "Pringles" night, Irish, I want to be in YOUR family with that salisbury steak and those yummy sounding desserts!!

And Becca your food sounded pretty good, too!
Carol...I love your thought for the week!

Tonight we go to Mama's Grill...Earl's brother & family will pick me up and take me there...Earl has to take his other brother to the Dr. at 4pm...and hopefully will be able to stop in to eat before we all leave.

Mary...hope you all are having a blast!

Joanne

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I worked today and in about 50 minutes need to leave to tutor for an hour. Think I will take tomorrow off. (I am a substitute teacher so I can decide when to take off.)

Tonight's dinner will be the leftover Chicken Piccata. I have already washed salad greens and potatoes, so should be a fairly easy preparation.

Becca - Sometimes I wish my dinners were more random. I had the Piccata last night because I was tired of making the same old thing with chicken all the time.

Irish - I am definitely in the minority by Salisbury steak isn't my choice. Although I must admit I rarely eat beef. Isn't it a floured, fried cube steak?

Carol - I have been wanting beef stew, but see note above - not often. Sounds very good though!

Time to go do a few things.
Have a Great Day!
Carol
