SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Oct 20

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Oct 20, 2013 3:23 am

We're rolling out this morning for 4 or 5 days of ocean beach camping. In you start missing me and want to see where I am, this link might take you there. I say MIGHT because I've never tried posting a link before.

JO - so glad you had a happy birthday! how fun to have such a celebration at the game. What is "working the chains"? A lot of 'chain' ideas have popped into my head, but I'm sure not one of them is what you mean.

CAROL - I did't know you were taking an aromatherapy class. Or trying to anyway. And so happy that it's not you smelling up the joint! But how much trouble it would have saved everyone if your neighbor would only have spoken up. Do you have any other close neighbors?

As for tonite's supper, I'm thinking we might have eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage. Or it could be tomato soup and grilled cheese. Or chili over potatoes. It's only a 2-hour run from here but I usually don't get too fancy on travel days. Tomorrow, however, will be a pot roast with carrots and potatoes, all done in the crockpot. That will be so nice to smell cooking after an afternoon out on the beach!

Hope your kitchen smells as good as mine will! Especially yours, Carol!

A beautiful good morning to all. We made it into 30's last nite so Fall is here.

MARYz Working the chains are the men on sideline in football who keeps up with how many yards they gain on each play.My brothers all played football so we attended all the games.Nothing like a good football game or basketball too.Enjoy your time off.

CAROL Your neighbor must have tought it would look bad on her.Now it does look bad that she did not speak out.Enjoy your class.Must check to see what it is about.

JOANN Sounds like you got special wishes for your BDay.That was neat.

IRISH Hope your wedding went well & not like the one that upset you.

After church I made sautee kale over pasta, & baked sweet potatos.Tried them in Micro wave like my brother & neighbor told me about.Worked fine & is much quicker & more energy efficient.

Quilter CAROL THe more the merrier & good when you join us....Becca

Maryz - Have a great trip!! You use the button that says "Insert Link Code" next to the Insert Image Code to post a link.

I have chicken cutlets so will probably cook them today. I have been thinking about a lemon-caper sauce.

Have a great day everyone!!

Carol

Hi Becca - You must have felt soft footprints! Your dinners always sound interesting!

I need to go to Farmer's Market this morning.

Good afternoon from chilly (cold for me), dreary, SW. Pa...Would you believe there's a hint of that 4 letter word in our forecast for later in the week????

Mary, I've now decided, I want to be a Pringle but I also want to be part of your family....When I clicked on that site, I actually drooled....You have the "bestest" camping trips......

Carol, as the others have said, what a waste of time because of that neighbor not speaking up....Hoping they get to the bottom of the problem and you'll all come up smelling like roses.......In our house, Jim doesn't smell, lost that while working around so much paint etc. but my "smeller" works very well...Just the slightest odor gets me going....My Kathy is another one with a great "smeller"...

Becca, the wedding was great...It's a real pleasure to work with people that actually know what's happening instead of those who only come to church to be married, have their kids baptized and then be buried.....It went off without a hitch, how about that choice of words......

Well, We normally go to Kevin's today but they were busy so I'm actually cooking, Yep! I'm making Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans...If anyone needs afters, there's always ice cream and chocolate cookies............

Happy eating..................

Irish, how do you make Salisbury steak? What cut of meat? DH would love it if I'd make it for him. He's bugging me to make potato soup but it's still in the high 80's here and really not soup weather.

Just curious,

Lucie
