Sunday OCTOBER 20 2013
Well where is everyone this morning.
Any way good morning
I have a busy day today I have to go to
the lovely grocery store which I hate to
do on Sunday but I have to get vegs to cook
for the puppy. She was giving us a hard time
about eating her dog food so I went on line and
it suggests fresh vegs and fruit which she
loves so yesterday was cooked carrots and yes
she devoured it all. I will pick up some more
but keep a good variety for her. We tried canned
dog food which the pet shop suggested and she hated
it and for 2.70 a can the fresh fruit and vegs are
better for her.
I might even get some sewing in today.
I have a couple packages ready for the post office
that will be my task tomorrow morning early.
Please keep my daughter in laws dad Carmine in your
prayers he is very sick.
Have the most wonderful day ever
God Bless
Dolores

Good morning Delores and those that follow.
Yesterday turned out to have more uglies then I had planned. I decided to give several bags of clothes that I have not worn for several years to goodwill. I didn't even look at them. Just put them in the car. I could see through the bag so I knew I hadn't worn them. I put the chair cushions from the deck away and got my fall/winter clothes out. This morning I have an applesauce cake in the oven to take to work tomorrow. That is it for the uglies. After the cake comes out of the oven I am out to my studio. My turn. Have a wonderful day everyone.
Delores - when we had our old juicer that left the pulp behind I would give it to our dogs. They loved it. They would hear the juicer and come running.

Good Morning....
Dolores.....You are our early bird today. I didn't know dogs ate fresh produce.
I'm finally going to make it to the quilt group's meeting today. Good thing I was reading there web site & learned I needed to wash all the pillow cases I made & put them in zip up bags. Other than that I'll be sewing on my pink blocks.
Love & prayers to all in need......Kathy

Good morning..
Tina, I am both sorry and glad your aunt passed away.. glad because she doesn't have to deal with pain or anything else anymore but sorry because your heart needs a hug and I am here...
Lori, glad your mom is on the mend.. hope she continues to improve.
I never did get to sew yesterday.. had to help get things ready for the practice thanksgiving.. it really went well but we needed a bigger turkey.. there aren't enough leftovers for more than a few sandwiches.. as soon as my dad was done eating I told him, lets clear these plates because it's time for practice Christmas...
Marilyn did well in her soccer game.. she was mvp and got a coupon for a free ice cream cone...
I really need to go sew my SS pal a whatsit so I can move on to her thingy... the two don't really go together but both are great to have...
you all have a great day.
Chriss

gOOD Morningall. It is sunny today but 30s this morning, no freeze yet but cold....my boiler is running and there are extra quilts for the bed, Well I have a busy day today....We will work on the office as it is in the process of painting,,,,Ken is happy that his office will finally get painted and fixed up/ I guess I am ok with it but is sure does put me behind....dining room is stacked to the ceiling with stuff...so is the living room....we had to clear a little place at the dining room table to eat l;ast night. it was a ugly tan color..and the walls had numerous holes from previous picture hangs. we patched them up.. the new color is dark blue...yes it is dark but therer are 4 windows in this small room.. Ken has some cool plagues from old Carrier air condtioners that were from his work days...he will hang them...also some architectural drawings might go up too. I did talk him into purging out some of his old woodworking magazines,,,,told him I clean out the quilting mags too...we are having dinner with my youngest son and family today so I need to bake the bread...all this to be done today so probably no sewing but tomorrow is my BOM class and I need to pack up the machine for that. Phew I am tired and I just got going....hope you all have a great day XXXOOO

Good Morning!
DELORES - when Snickers was sick, I had to cook him sweet potatoes, buffalo, and 'season' it with bone meal. He thought it was great until the sweet potato ratio overtook the buffalo. We finally found a dry food with just that recipe and he liked that. But all other food ingredients made him sick. grains, chicken, and especially corn. The things we do for our fur-family!
SUZ - sounds like you've earned a day in your studio. You'll be favorite employee tomorrow with that cake!
KATHY - enjoy quilt club! Are the pillowcases for the million pillowcase challenge? How is Kim doing?
CHRISS - congratulations to Marilyn! MVP is a big deal! Sorry about the leftovers. My mom always hunted (haha! 'hunted'. An inadvertant funny.) for the biggest turkey she could find. If it wasn't 25# or bigger it was hardly worth buying. Even at that, with our family there were hardly any leftovers! Hope your day involves "cotton candy"!
JUDI - Bill would live with old paint until the house turned to dust rather than initiate a painting project! But I think we should do it every 12 years whether the walls need it or not! lol! Dark colors are the in thing now and they look pretty sharp with the right trim and other accessories. My kitchen is dark brick red and we used dark avocado for an accent wall in our living room. I bet your dark blue is pretty - and so masculine.
We're hitching up this morning and headed for Grayland Beach St. Park at the ocean ~ about two hours away. WE'll be there 4 or 5 days, if you're looking for me. We want to take Scottie on a practice trip before the real thing next winter. Much like a practice Thanksgiving. For cotton therapy, I'm letting Dear Jane come along. Poor girl is a travel project and has been in her tote 9 months. I'm also taking my vintage Christmas tree cross-stitch, quilty mags, and a couple of novels. That ought to keep me occupied when we're not out strolling the sand.
I'm not sure if there will be internet or not, so you may not hear from me again until next Friday. Have a sewper week, y'all!

Re: Sunday OCTOBER 20 2013
Good Sunday morning! We are chilly here, but not like yesterday. I brought all my flowers into the sun room on Friday—good thing, it was 34 yesterday morning and DH had frost on his windshield. I haven’t seen my sewing room in a week… always something to draw me away like pecans or cooking and cleaning.
Suzette—that’s funny about the juicer. My cats came running to the electric can opener. Odie and Tinker Bell come running to the sound of a knife on the chopping board—they want cheese. I need to purge a few things, too; it’s easier if you don’t have to look.
Kathy—how many pillowcases did you make? Have fun with the quilting group!
Chriss—give Mar a high five for her MVP from me. I like left over turkey better than the dinner. It’s hard to find big turkeys now unless you can find a farm that raises them. The big turkey houses only grow the smaller ones. I usually have to do a couple of them ones or a ham and a turkey.
Judi—good morning! There was snow yesterday in parts of Kansas. I think Scrappy Pat got some. I’m so not ready for it. My sister’s dining room is a beautiful deep blue with white woodwork. It’s beautiful. I’m sure Ken will enjoy his new office. Enjoy your family day! I’ll look forward to hearing about the bobbin work class. I’ve seen it on TV shows. You can get some neat fibers on your projects.
MaryZ—have fun camping with Scottie. It will be fun to see him with surf. Dear Jane will be happy for the fresh ocean air, too. Enjoy!
Lois—good to hear you figured out using your left foot! You are definitely on the road to recovery.
Dolores—Worse than Sunday at the store is Saturday when I usually go. I have learned to get up and go early and take a cooler for my perishables then meet my friend for coffee and go see Mom. There is less of a crazy crowd. Prayers for Carmine. Can you make portions of your dog food and freeze it or refrigerate it so you aren’t cooking each time you feed her? Rachel Ray’s magazine has a dog food or treat recipe each month. You might check her website, too. Good luck!
I have some clean up to do around here today, and I hope to find my sewing room.
Have a blessed Sunday, All!

:do.ores I will certainly keep carmine in my prayers and positive thoughts.
Headed to a polish bakery this morning before I head to the hospital. It is this bakery that was Sunday morning after church tradition at my gramma and aunt Martha's house. I called everyone to get their wish list. Tjey have this biscuit/scone thing with just a thin layer if jam swirled in they call a Harrison special, danger if I can even come close to that recipe.
doing a happy dance this morning because Mymy might be able to have one pedisure today!!!!!
Grammiequilts, I used to work at Carrier in the law department as a secretary I. Their training plan, many many years ago. YES, I am that old!!!!!
Kathyquilts, I think I a, going to get ,yself one of those pampered chef cookie presses so I can make those cookies the way you do. Generic cookie presses don't make them look the same. Is there a certain model?
Wishing everyone a day full of sunshine, flowers and happy thought s along with good health and safe travels
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to one and all in need
THINK PINK!!!!!!!! Please. We have some strong women here, and they need our positive pink thoughts, but we also need to follow their lead

Good morning girls. I've been laid up with my back the last couple days. I was able to get up this morning, so hopefully it is on the mend.
Tina-I'm with Chriss...Sorry for you and the family about the passing of your Aunt, but happy for her that she is no longer suffering.
Chriss-Congrats to Mar on being the MVP yesterday. LOL, will you really be doing a practice Christmas dinner too, or were you just making a funny?
Maryz-Have a fun practice trip this week and be safe.
Lois-It is good to hear you were able to use your left foot to operate your machine. Sounds like you had a good start at catch up.
Suz-Applesauce cake sounds yummy.
DH just got up so I better get off here for a bit and make him some breakfast. I don't make him breakfast through the week because of our schedules, so I try to make a good one for him on Sundays.
Everyone have a good and blessed day.
