WOW - If you all are making these kind of LOVELY blocks I think I will step it up a notch on the Lotto Block patterns. These and all the others are such inspirations of your color and prints combinations. I am learning so much from looking.

Would love to be right there with you but I need to stay focus on
making my DSis Braid Block Quilt. 100 blocks is whew but I have 50 totally finished now.

HAPPY STITCHIN'!!!!!

NOOOOOO Redtop:) I wanted to finish before these posted. LOL well its 930 pm and I am whooped. I only have this past weeks blocks left to do. I did 9 blocks this week. shew. 6 today. I think they were the tough ones too. All those y seams took me a bit. I am truly learning some new techniques. I also have never sewed such small triangles LOL. Fun though:))

I will get last ones done hopefully tomorrow and then post pics:))

Izzy, I know those tiny triangles got the best of me. It's not the sewing, it's my fingers are short and fat and I can't handle the small pieces. I started making them Eleanor's method. I decide what size blocks I need to cut and allow some for squaring up--my half square triangles are more precise. My blocks sew up faster too.

21 block on the wall
Oh I hope they dont fall
I worked hard all weekend
a lot of time in my room I did spend;)

I am finally with the rest
Some blocks I like the best
others I do not
because Y seams I fought:)

Nine blocks in three days
Is definitely not the best way
So take my advice this day
On task each week stay!!

Sew at least 30 minutes
Or you will throw fits
Like I did away from my machine
But now it is time to CLEAN!!

Sewing room a mess
got threads all over my dress
Time to go
I promise tonight a picture to show!!

Ok I am all caught up:) got them stuck to my design wall and will take picture tonight. I have to unload the 925 pictures I took while on vacation in CO first LOL.

Now to start on this weeks blocks. I pulled fabric. :) They look good sitting together on the wall chatting. :) I really liked making star of the orient. I may do a wall hanging using that block:)

Watch for upcoming picture:))

I have been frantically trying to catch up since we got back from vacation. I got a little sick before we left and so was already behind. I have been working like crazy the last three days. Have had to do several over twice. My tiny half square triangles on the Barrister block look awful so I plan on re-doing that one tomorrow and then hopefully can post a photo of the ones I have done to catch up. I feel like I finally have a handle on those Y seams...and that sure feels good. These blocks are a real challenge for me. I have found that I really kind of like that paper piecing! If it wasn't for this group I can promise you I would NEVER have tried to tackle this quilt!!! LOL

Susie I hear ya on the barister block. tiny tiny huh. I too am liking the paper piecing the oriental star was so much fun to do. I was wondering how it would work with the octagon center but man was that a breeze after all those y seams:)

Vacations are nice but catching up is a dooozy:))

I HATE Y-seams!(don't look too close!) These pictures include two I did ahead. I had some time the other night so I tried to figure out which blocks Tess would pick for this week... I guessed wrong but they will be done when they get picked :-)
