Re: Saturday, October 12
good morning..
today will be busy.. soccer pictures then a game and grandma's 91st b-day.. I got a small cheesecake, it has two slices of each flavor... it will be too sweet and she won't like the chocolate slices and so on and so on.. but so it goes.. I have a strange family...lol.. now you all see where I get it..
Maryz.. please send a picture of your applique quilt.. I really want to see it.. glad Scotty had fun playing with that giant dog..lol.. a real mutt and jeff combo there...
Karlene.. hope you find that rabbit book... our squirrels are trouble makers, they eat flower bulbs and nuts... hope yours behaves..glad your mom and Sharona had fun.. neat how the luncheon's work.
Cindy.. sounds like my kind of crab feed.. the Elks lodge near here puts on on like that and they also have a shrimp feed...it's good to be the daughter of an elk
Chickie.. sounds like it was a busy day yesterday.. what fun.
Sharona.. I'm glad you had a nice lunchoen, isn't it cool to live in a bird house full of boxes and fit right in and be a part of the community before you even unpack your dishes? how marvelous to be you...what a great place to live.
Vicky, you sure had a housefull... I imagine sleeping bags everywhere... what will be for breakfast this morning, I bet we could sneak over there and blend in with the crowd... ;D
Jana.. the upstairs down stairs makes for an Ethan who sleeps very well...I sure wish I could attend your classes, I would learn so much.
O'Dorothy, we almost had pizza last night but I was pooped and suggested we just make sandwiches instead.. I love the sales but mostly go only if they list quilt stuff.. I rarely find something I want otherwise...
Tina, sorry about your aunt and grandma...hope Jaz is feeling better and I hope you get some rest.. I think of you often.
Lois.. do you sleep with the boot on too... how uncomfortable.. I picture you in a room with hexi's up to your neck..lol...hope the cake is good.
Vicky... nice to see your kids live their dream... makes you feel good.. your feast tomorrow sounds wonderful.. I have already booked my flight and hope to spend the night there so I can take part in it.
Kathy, sorry you're not sleeping.. maybe you need a job..lol not!!!
Velda, you have a fun life.. and a DH who treats you to lunch out.. couldn't ask for much more..
Maryz.. it was me... I invented the crock pot.. yep, me.. I am removing my shoes now...boy sounds like it's going to be a very long two weeks with a big poodle... my brother has a big poodle who they think is a person.. it sits on the furniture and if a person wants to sit down too bad, the dog was there first.. hope your two weeks go quickly and you know where I live if you want to run away from home
Joanne, woo hoo, I am so glad you checked in.. what a blessing to see you.. my day has a smile added to it now...
Maryq.. wow, Jen and family are really going to be there soon...seems like we've been waiting forever.. leave some lip prints on those kids for me...
Scrappy Pat.. your surgery will go fine.. it's probably done a zillion times by your surgeon each year.. for him it will just be another boob...lol....enjoy your lunch... sounds like a nice trip and lots of fall colors to see.
Suzette, hope you get to catch up on your sleep.
and now I have no excuse to not get moving...you all have a fun day...

Manitoba weather, changing quickly, colored leaves falling to ground, people walking with sweaters, taking their last walks with friends, neighbors in a few weeks it be icy roads, cold and sleet. Quilters, hibernate to their sewing den for next 4mths. (Yeah!) I've gathered lots of jog knits at stash/bash, shop/hop (fat quarters), next week quilt quild mtg. (Yuppie) Some baby qlts for show/tell. Mint color stucco front wall, done, and community notices it, stopping to ask "no man yet?"

Re: Saturday, October 12
Good morning from sunny and getting warmer, Sw. Pa....Another purrrfect Fall Day....
Not much happening in this neck of the woods, neighborhood is very quiet......I have the sheets on the line and most of the uglies are done so I guess I'll force myself to watch football the rest of the day....Either that or sew, gee what a choice!
DGS's lacrosse team is playing in Cleveland tomorrow and I semi got an invitation to go, lol....Kevin and DDIL will be driving out and there might be a couple of the boys riding with them along with the new puppy the fellows have adopted...So, it might mean, if I go, I ride on the roof or in the back with a puppy on my lap.....I had told them it depends on the weather, I don't care who's playing, I don't sit outside in the cold.....
Maryz, you and Bill would be purrfect with the B & B...I'm ready to make a reservation....And you are so darn smart for mixing up your corn bread ahead of time....I haven't had corn bread since Nicky was here....
Chriss, you're another smartie for coming up with the crock pot....Sounds like your day will be busy...Give Grandma a birthday hug from me....
Joanne, sure sounds like you're going to have a great day...A Pringle Mingle and all that food, nothing better.....Enjoy......
Vicky, I'd say, you really slept in, lol...That's normally the time Jim gets up with the help of the furbabies...They know better than to mess with me at that hour...It must give you a great feeling knowing the kids are happy and living their dream...And also to have those little ones around you....
Well, better get the sheets off the line and back on the bed....I think I sleep better with those fresh outside dryed sheets on the bed.....
You all have a great day................

Good morning !!
It is busy here on the post and busy here at my house too! I have FIL's laundry going - house is getting straightened up and the sprinklers in the backyard are messing up my windows! Uggh!! DH is out there adjusting them now - we have such hard water, that I have to use CLR - straight out of the bottle to get the spots off the windows.
We have the Church bulletin to get done this morning and printed. Then run over the laundry later this afternoon. My DDIl is coming over to use my sewing machine - to do some hemming - hers is packed away for the move.
I have two ideas for my next class - or classes that I am going to teach - the Day/Night Quilt - I have that one done and the new pattern from QIAD - Geese in the Garden. I am thinking about some 30's repro fabrics for the Geese quilt.
So not much going on in my neck of the woods - hopefully the kids will be down to hang the Christmas lights today - I would like to get them up before the snow falls and stays. The peaks of my roof are high!
Hugs and prayers
Jana

Good evening!
Chriss - you are a hoot. I'll be sure to post your picture on all my crock pot as a reminder. It is indeed fabulous to be me.
Last night I was watching tv and heard what a swear was a cannon go off. And then it happened again about 20 minutes later. Long story short - the HS football team was playing their homecoming game and trounced their opponents 37-3. They shot off a cannon after every TD. At the end of the game they had a huge fireworks exhibit that I watched from the deck. I am really loving small town life.
Sounds like y'all had a great day. I hope those who had trouble sleeping last night can really saw logs tonight. We're headed to church tomorrow - the one where Karlene met her DH. My DH hasn't been inside a church since he was a kid - this should be interesting.
Sweet dreams, my quilty friends! xoxo Sharona
