disappointed- -and why didn't I see it before?

Post by kho » Thu Oct 10, 2013 5:01 pm

Many of you know quilting isn't my only passion. Horses have been every since I can remember and maybe befor that. Living with my men, who like the old westerns isn't a problem. After all I have my own sewing room to escape if need be. Sometimes I watch them with them and I can drive them up a wall. While they are admiring or closely watchin the movie yours truly is saying,"That's the horse Chester rode in gunsmoke. or That's the horse from the Big Valley, Nick rode it. It's name was Coco." So imagine my disappointment while watching channel 82 tonight and Roy Rogers was on. In the big chase scene, I HAD to rewind the show. There it was something only I noticed enough to say wait a minute, yes, Roy wasn't riding Trigger. It was something else and I tend to think from the brief glimpse I had it was a quarter horse. The face, the width of the blaze, the mane color and the body color were all wrong. Nearly ruined the entire last 14 minutes of the show for me. I did see the credits and now know why the one guy sounded like someone I should have known.. All these years I thought he only rode Trigger-and now I know. He didn't. What a bummer. I don't know if the guys will let me watch westerns with them again. I took all the fun out of it-again...

What disappoints you or what do you look for??

Here it is TRAINS! If I am watching a movie or TV show with any train it - DH starts to pick it apart - trains can't do that - it is impossible - no way would they run signals, or you name it! I have seen ads for movies about a train - all I have to do is show DH the ad and that settles it - we don't watch it! LOL Still I have tons of train videos and shows - the real thing - not Hollywood!

Jana, I know what you are talking about. Wild animals and trapping can get my guys going. It keeps us on our toes..

Lassies, don't bother me so much. Put Audra Barkley on a horse on the top of a hill, and then see the wild horses, with the black stallion,( honestly don't wild stallions come in other colors) go back to Audra, and she is on a different horse. That can ruin a show for me very quick.

OMG. If someone or a background changes in any way, my DH notices it immediately. I can't imagine why he sometimes wears a black and brown sock but can pick up any other small discrepancy! lol.
