SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 10th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Sep 10, 2013 4:05 am

I was up half the night with my bad knee. I took 2 Tylenol PM's (I usually only take 1 and that, rarely) and still couldn't sleep. So I'm kind of tired today.

So, I'm thinking I'll just thaw some pork chops to DH to grill, make some rice or noodles, and heat up some frozen veggies. Something simple. Though around here, that's actually kind of fancy eating! Plan 'B' would be open a cam of soup.

Hope your Plan 'A' works out!

Mary - sorry to hear your knee is hurting. Hope you get time for a nap today.

Becca - enjoy your sewing day. I haven't touch fabric in a coon's age.

This is our last day fishing.

It was cold and rainy here yesterday and I was going to fix Chili for dinner, but our friends who got here 2 days ago asked us to go out to eat with them. Never turn down a free meal. It was their turn to pay. So Chili tonight, with fresh bell pepper and onion out of friends garden that they brought for us. Yum.

Good afternoon from sunny, warm (getting warmer), SW. Pa...Summer is here for a day and then back to Fall...Told ya, Mother Nature is messing with us!

Mary, so sorry to hear you're hurting....You shouldn't have been down there crawling on the floor...But, is the house ready? Couple days.....Did you see my suggestion? I think Murphy is purrfect...Of course I did like Scrappy........How does Scrappy Doodle sound? You'd think I was getting a new furbaby, huh? Take it easy today, no more crawling......

We did have our spaghetti last night and Jim will finish the leftovers for lunch...Now for dinner? That comes every day, doesn't it? I did take some chicken breasts out of the freezer and hopefully they will materialize into something worthwhile eating.....But, you never know in this house, someone might suggest calling for pizza..Of course I do have another yellow squash that I could tempt Jim with, lol...And I also have some bananas that are almost ready for baking..I might make some squares and frost with cream cheese icing....

Happy eating.................

Good morning!

Tonight I am eating with my Activity Day girls - sloppy joes and I have the cake baked - just needs the frosting and cheesecake mousse - chocolate. That will be later this afternoon.

I thought of another name for "our" new little guy - Patches - I like Murphy too!

Well need to rescue a quilt project from disappearing - Perry is trying to help me lose all the pieces! It is sitting on paper and so is he!

Enjoy
Jana

Good Evening All.....A grey day today with gusts of wind to liven things up.......
just a quick in and out today....its 7.20 pm....and I'm up to my neck in pastry making ready to go in the freezer for my Bakewell Tarts....got another load for Korma going in the Slow Cooker....that will be on all night at a low setting.......

OK.....Chicken Korma.....I dice and brown Chicken Breasts.....put them into the Slow Cooker with Korma Sauce (from a jar)its a very mild curry with a Cocoanut base....we don't do hot or even medium hot curries.....and I serve it with Basmarti Rice and Garlic Bread.....actually any rice will do.....but I prefer the Basmarti.....its quick simple...freezable......and everybody loves it....have done some Chilli Con Carne for those that want it....but about 21 have asked for the Korma....I do a lot because I have a horror of running out......
but on the table today it was Belly of Pork....Potatoes....Runner Beans and Carrots.....and for afters...Jammy Doughnuts.......

Maryz.....hope that knee mends soon......we know all about knees and their aches and pain.....could it be something to do with A...G...E...
or is it the puppy-proofing.......

Carol

Uh Oh, Lyn...you said the banned word! And you were doing so well! lol!!
Carol, I love it when you tell us how to cook all these different things!
