SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Sept 6th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Sep 06, 2013 3:06 am

good morning! We had thunder off/on most of yesteray and lots during the night. We even lost power for 2 hours last night. and much rain this morning. A welcome break from dry and 80+*! (for me, anyway.)

we get to meet our puppy today and then get him for good next Friday. I keep wondering - am I ready for this? I haven't had a tiny puppy in 30 years! I do remember something about shoes . . . .

Dinner tonite? Well, if I don't think of anything else, it's going to be pancakes and sausages. We have lots of food in the freezer (and now 3 packages of chili, too!) but nothing ever says, "cook me! cook me!" Maybe I'll come back here later and see what y'all are cookin' up and get some ideas. Hmmmm. . . . Chili-mac peerhaps? Or mac and cheese?

That would be REAL mac and cheese, right?

For you and that puppy, I would suggest a book called "Puppy Kindergarten." My DD#1 used that when training her Jack Russell Terrier, Magoo, and he is well trained. I just looked on Amazon, they have it, costs $3.24.

Going out 'mac'n cheesing' for more Crappie today, maybe some Walleye, too. All going into the freezer. We leave here next week.

I think there are 2 steaks in the freezer. I'll hunt them up and we'll have some kind of veggie to go with.

Good morning

Tonight is a Ward dinner party - I am taking Frog's eye pasta salad, and apple cake. It is a carnival theme - so I have no idea what the main course will be - but it will be lots of fun

What fun it will be to have a baby in the house again - you soon will remember all the things that they get in too! I sure did.

Enjoy
Jana
