sunday August 4,2013
I hope that there is not a special order to post a start of a day, but I'm still up and was reading all of yesterdays posts. I have only been here this year and am still not to sure about some things, so if its not ok, please tell me.Mel sorry that you could not make it to the family reunion, but your DGS will likely make you feel as if you had been youngsters see a lot and are usually bubbly telling of good times
LOIS glad you could go to the gym (for me) I hate being on wheels I too had laundry and like Hallmark channel
VICKY our blueberries are just in & great love pie or w corn flakes....we have the same problem...too much inspiration for projects...thought it would help cut into my stash 50 plus years of lo's ,but it seems something else is still needed ,,,then you see great new pieces...ohooh,but it could be worse as at least things get made for family and to donate and that feels good to know someone is helped. I took advantage of the same coupons, every bit helps..Do you know if we are considered a group for their extra 10% off card on purchases? They(jo-anns) sent a renewal notice to me for it,but I"m not renewing quilters club of America, they had way too many excuses for not sending promised items and could rarely get into their site they kept blocking me after i paid and said it was a glitch that they never fixed so it was frustrating. I did enjoy going to their site before buying the premium member ship which was a disaster! It is a problem getting around so i do not belong to any local group that's why i wondered because we are a large group..it is there and QIAD that i do my shopping...
Anyhow, have fun shopping and making your needle fly!
i think i will post this also separately so maybe some one knows ...
JULES good luck with your new found family, I have a brother somewhere hopefully still in this world.
SUZETTE--prayers that all is well.
JUDI -- there is a group that will pay for the Feral cats to be fixed, so you could have "guards and no more kittens. They will also immunize them including rabies shots so they remain healthy. Many will give you litter and food for them. Often, the kittens are able to get homes, but the mothers are killed by the shelters. We've raised several .It is horrifying that people will shoot them when all they want is a home and some food. Check locally to see if they have a trap spay and return program in your area.or ask your vet. These poor little ones are desperate. Thank you for doing what you have done.
IRISHGRAM--one of my children lived in SW Pa for years we used to go to the mall in Monroeville and to a craft store near there Also a pet store there was owned by a relative of a good friends... small world!. I will one day make a tee shirt quilt as soon as other project allow.
JANA,was it a quilters world DVD I have thought about the the purchase,do have several years in print
VELDA, I surely enjoyed you new home pics! Do you have one of those large hoop garages? Someone said they would be a full timer if they could carry one of those and a screen house to put extras in and sew (in the screen house) said i would ask you.Els new Christmas tree and wreath would be a nice fit for you..my husband made a wooden puzzle years ago and it is part of our Christmas in down sized mode. miss all my space!
About your back, have you tried a hot water bottle or compress?
To everyone else keep safe, healthy warm and happy ! I enjoy reading all of your letters when I can, but these old eyes have quite a time most days, and I can not always read or write to you. so while i do not post often, you are all in thoughts and prayers.

Good morning everyone!
Nothing like waking up to a fur baby cleaning your face. But, that is a good thing. It means he has to go out. Well, as far as my sister in-law goes they kept her in the hospital. I got a message from her daughter on Facebook and will call later to see what is going on. This morning I am sneaking out to my studio early and get my Christmas Swap blocks finished so I can get them in the mail. Like I keep saying this work thing is getting in the way of my quilting. Hope everyone has a great day
Quoddynlillymom - welcome! Glad to see your post this morning. Hope you are enjoying QIAD.

QUODDYNLILLYMOM- Good morning! You started us off just right
Suzette- I hate my fur babies in my face! On my bed is ok just know your place and that's NOT by my face.
We are not going to church today. I know that's odd for us, but our whole family is going to Shannon's to help them get the house ready to put on the market later this week! I'm taking up lunch and we are making a day of it. Emily and I are helping Shannon take everything out of her kitchen and cleaning out cupboards and only putting back the necessities. The guys are working on outside stuff.
The new mattress: well I think I was expecting miracles and I was a little disappointed that I woke up and my back and neck still hurt. Over all I think it's going to be better on my body as a whole. It is MUCH thicker then my old mattress and I feel like we are up in the air...well we kind of are, it's a good three inches higher. I'll just have to get used to that too.
Quilting report: I got two more trunks done yesterday. Then Emily wanted to start watching Bleak House, it is a 8 part mini series. Dickens was a great writer and BBC has done great movies with his books, but this one I'm not as fond of. I am going to finish the Friendship Forest quilt before I start on my BIL's Harley Quilt. He tells me he wants an eagle(s) That ought to be fun.
I hope you all have a blessed Sunday.
Vicky
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Hi Everyone, It's a beautiful Sunday Morning here in West Virginia! A special good morning for those who don't like mornings.
Be sure to look at the new Sew-a-long (Sylvia's Bridal Sampler) in the swap section. This is not a swap, the quilt will be yours when finished. This should be lots of fun and maybe we will learn a new quilting skill. All the blocks are really pretty simple and quickly made since they are small blocks.
I hope you will join us and enjoy making another quilt this winter.

Good Cool Morning,
It was worth giving up quilting yesterday because I had a wonderful time at my neighbor's cookout. The food was delicious. Plus I found 2 men to help me put in a cornor wall cabinet that needs to be attached to the wall in the quest room. I do need to clean the conor out as I have no idea when they might do this.
No new update on DD. I called her last night and she is out of it. She makes very little sence when she talks....says the craziest things.
Today I will be quilting the the wallhanging.
QUODDYNLILLYMON....AS YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU DID JUST FINE. Welcome we love having you.

GOOD morning!!!
I am thrilled to let y'all know that all our company is gone. YAY!!!! We've either been gone or had company for almost a month, and we made it! And we have a lot of memories to cherish. It was a wonderful celebration.
Maryz - we went to your Ikea (thanks for your wonderful ideas and I loved it! Lots of great ideas for small houses like DS2 has.
Kathy - prayers continue for Kim.
Quoddy - welcome! You did a fine job of starting off the thread.
Suzette - hope you get some sewing time in today. Your cat has a sweet way of waking you up. One of my sister's cats smacks her with his paw to wake her up.
Vicky - what a great thing of y'all to do to get Shannon's house ready for sale.
Tess - I'll have to go check that out!
Jules - have a great sort-out of your sewing room. Happy fabric 'sorting'.
Izzy - I'm so impressed you iron for other than sewing. Have fun at church!
I need to hustle my bustle and get myself ready for church. I have missed you all and am SO ready to get back to our normal routine. Have a great day. xoxo Sharona
