Good evening and morning Pals
THE BOING, BOING HAS ARRIVED!!! We leave at 7:45am to arrive in Long Beach by 10am. Prayers please as Rob will most likely drive through traffic and into LA. Double Whammy for me. I read yesterday that Carol will be there. Wonder who else I might run into. I PM'd her my cell phone.
I have all the strips cut and made the 1 sample Braid block. Hmmmm I tried to send Joan the picture to make sure I had it right. Just seamed like I trimmed off more fabric on one side than the other so I would be able to cut shorter strips for one than the other. Will let you know when I get it all figured out.

Vicky - I love, love, love ALL your tree blocks. This will be gorgeous when it is finished. Happy Belated Anniversary!

Jana - sorry little one is sick. I sure hopes he knows the difference between sour milk and good milk now. I would have taken on whiff or sip and ...

Velda - wonderful story of fishing. Brought back many memories of fishing with my son. Sorry you didn't get to keep your catch. Favorite type is fish is ???.

Irish - I will not pray for patience. That is just asking for to much other to pop in and get in the way of your wonderful time with DS and the boys. I know you will enjoy every minute of their visit. Looking forward to hearing all the good news :)

Maryz - I love it when my DD needs me but sometimes it is hard on the heart to know they are struggling a bit. Glad you were there to lend a listening ear and smooth the waters. How many Shows are going on at one time??? My friend gave me Sylvia's Bridal Sampler book for Christmas but I haven't done anything yet.

Pat - I lost my seam picker again and looked all over everywhere I could look ... I cleaned out the car for the trip and what did I find? Yup it was in the car ... do not ask - LOL!!! Rearranging makes for birthdays and Christmas all over again. Wonderful how you find things you are looking for and have forgotten all about. ENJOY!

Chickie - Zucchini jam tastes like pineapple? Oh please share the recipe? Sounds delicious!!! How is your LA practicing going? Thrilled for you but still miss seeing your colorful quilts. Always a joy!! Wish I could eat tomatoes that often but I break out in a rash if I do

Cindy — I am sorry to hear Vicky is having a hard time. Chickie is right it is easy to go into a shell and withdraw from everyone. from all the past stories I have heard of you 3 I know she is blessed to have you help her through this. So what quilt did you finish and glueing the binding?? Is this something new?

I am sorry I missed some of you but the hands are starting to rebel. Hope you all have a FABulous Friday and the start of a great weekend!
HUGS and BLESSINGS ALWAYS

Lotto Pals (anyone) be thinking about collecting Fall Colored Plaids. I feel a quilt block coming soon that will use them :) :) :);

Teresa, have fun at the show tomorrow.

I'll be heading over on Saturday. I'm sure there will be fabulous quilts. Unfortunately this will be the last year for the show in Long Beach. It's moving up to OR next year.

Have a great day everyone.

Lori - I am so sorry to miss you this year. When you are at the show we will be on the road to AZ. Busy weekend traveling for us. I am so glad you mentioned this move of the show. I was debating going but I am glad that we have decided to go. This is great news for Up North Pals!!! Might be a reason to take a road trip and visit Pals. I definitely have wanted to visit Port Orchard, OR :) :) :)

Good morning Teresa, Lori and those who follow.
Thank goodness for Fridays! I am off today. Our shopping trip for tomorrow has been postponed. My sister in-law is having a bad bout of Fibromyalgia well as a UTI. Her daughter had to take her to the ER yesterday. Se didn't realize she had the infection because of the Fibromyalgia. Next week is the drop off day for the items to be entered in the county fair. I am planning on entering my Jacobs Ladder quilt. I got the neatest phone call last night. The woman that does my quilting when I make a big one invited me to go with her and a friend to a retreat. It is held every other year by the Virginia Consortium of Quilters. I am looking forward to it. I have heard from ther people about going to this retreat and they have a blast. I can't wait. Have a great day.

Teresa - your seam ripper story reminds me of my scissors story. My favorite pair of Gingher scissors disappeared. No matter where I looked I couldn't find them. Then, months later I was rid of a love seat that was no good. And when I pulled the cushion out guess what I found? My scissors! I now have 2 pair.

Lori - have a great day

What I haven't told the old man is this is the start of my nursing program and I'm going to take a few classes at a time. I'm still sewing butterfly's on Samantha quilt and I hope I can finish it soon. Hmm I read on this thread chickie has a LA. Tell me more in a Pm. I could give ya a ring a ding ding too.!! Oh the cutest thing happen the other day. Samantha lost her first baby tooth and guess what? The price for one tooth went up. She recieved two gold dollar coins. I told the tooth fairy that inflation has gone up that much!! She starts kindagarden on the 15th of Aug. Well I hope all is well in your homes and happy quilting to all.

Happy Friday everyone. Once again it's time to get ready for work, but I have the weekend for myself. Yesterday evening a group of young adults came over and helped with most of the weeding in my yard. It was such a big blessing. I would never have gotten all those weeds pulled, cut, raked, and picked up by myself. Two of the group were the young couple who just got married that I am making the DWR quilt for.

Those of you heading out to the quilt shows have fun, and be safe. Will be looking for the updates.

Time is flying by this morning, so I better finish getting ready for work. Have a blessed day.

Calling all PINK WARRIORS. Some of you will remember my sisters sister Torrie whose fiancée was killed a week before there wedding when two tractor trailer truck drivers were planing tag on the thruway. Torrie has just been diagnosed with basil cell carcinoma. She has at least two spots that they know. Of from the first review of her tests. They are inside her breast. Today she will go to Dr. Kurt which is the same cancer specialist both my sister and my. IEEE went to. Torrie is strong in her faith, but lives alone as gram. Her mother also passed not too many years ago. Hopefully we are talking about lumpectomy with radiation but I will know more later today.
On a happy note, Cousin Heather had her MRI. There is just a tiny spot do cancer left in her neck so we are all systems go for the bone marrow transplant on August 24.
Thank you all for letting me come here to talk and share
Mo is loving his soi training in nc.
Karhyquilts prayers going out to Kim. Please keep us posted.
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to one and all
Travel safely and return often

Teresa have fun in Long Beach!

Girl- Funny story about the tooth fairy- we never did the tooth fairy but we did give them a little something for each tooth they lost.

Suzette sorry your shopping trip was postponed and about your sister in laws flare up.

Lois pump that iron! Have fun at the gym. I'm taking the day off of walking. Not feeling the best this morning.

Lori I hope you have fun at the show too. Wish I could go, a little out of my neck of the woods though!

I'm still feeling nauseous this morning. I just ate some toast so I hope that calms things down. I did have a busy day planned, not sure yet if I'll do anything away from home yet. Shannon called me yesterday and asking for Emily and I to come up and help her stage her house and take some things out of the kitchen to put in storage. They are going to try and sell the house themselves (my SIL) used to be a Realtor, so there should be no trouble there. I was going to drop off Emily and go to my MIL's then go back and help when done. We will see how I feel in an hour. Emily will still go without me.

I may stay home and work on tree trunks. I forgot how much I loved this Friendship Forest Quilt. This one is for me. No one is getting married in the family so I guess I'll just make quilts for me for a while :-) I am making the black and bright and then the bright and white, if my son(Ross) ever gets around to marrying that nice girl he has, I'll let them choose which one they want, or pick a totally different one for me to make (I hope not one that takes a whole year!) By the way, no Emily is not seeing anyone yet. She just talks about getting married and is waiting patiently (most of the time) for God to bring the right man to her. She has a pin on pinterest that says, Oh you know just planning my non-existent wedding.

Have a great day,
Keep looking up!
Vicky
