Tuesday, July 30th
Good morning everyone.
I was dreading going to work yesterday but everything turned out great. Even had a good commute home. I am getting back into sewing after work as well. Took me long enough. I read in the news yesterday that someone threw paint in the National Cathedral. This time they caught the person that did it. It was the same color paint as the incident in the Lincoln Memorial. So hopefully it was the same person. She was homeless. Today after work I will be back in my studio working n my Christmas Block Swap blocks. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning Suzette. Glad everything worked out okay at work. I think it takes a while to get your schedule worked out when things change in your life. Glad you're getting back into the swing of things.
This is my last night shift for a while. I start days with weekends off next week. That's going to be a change, but I welcome change. I get bored working the same shift all the time. I'll have a nice little break of 6 days off before going to day shift next Monday. Tonight we are going to dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Cindy, yes I am the hostess of BOM for my guild. I think I have all the blocks figured out for the rest of my time as hostess.
Have a great day everyone.
Lori

Re: Tuesday, July 30th
Good morning to the early birds, Lori, Lois and Suzette!
I'm hoping to spend the whole day at home today. I want to get in my sewing room and get cleaning.
Last night I made the Pinterest, Beef and Broccoli for supper, it was very easy and turned out great. I have really enjoyed getting new recipes of there. Tonight we are having taco salad or black bean and rice with greens. Something easy because Emily and her dad are taking these girls home then going to a concert in Wellsboro, PA. I'm usually the one to go with her to concerts so this will be nice for them to have a daddy/daughter date.
My brother in law asked me to make him a Harley Davison quilt... I'm coming up pretty dry for ideas. I have never seen his bike, don't know a thing about them, so I'm stumped. Looking for ideas ladies.
I also have a LOT of projects I wanted to do for myself but he is a paying customer so I will at least give it some thought.
Keep looking up!
Vicky

Lori - Happy days off and Happy Anniversary!! Hope they bring you both lots of enjoyment and cotton time.
Lois - HUrry and get those uglies finished so you can enjoy!!!!
Suzette - Have a jolly time mkaing your Christmas blocks! Turn the music up loud and jingle all the way

Vicky - I can't remember who it was but I know someone just made a motorcycle quilt. Wish my Rob would like brocolli but he is like the president. I didn't eat it as a child and i won't eat it now = LOL!!!
Well sleep eluded me the entire night due to neighborhood dogs and I just gave up. Trust me I am not happy at all so I am in my sewing room trying to find my happy place. I am also looking for ideas on what pattern to make a baby quilt that will be an heirloom from a wedding dress
Hope you all have a Terrific Tuesday!!!

Good morning all. So glad work was better Suzzette. Will still keep you in prayer to make sure you have more of those kind of days:))
Headed in to work today myself got to get my room ready for open house Friday. then back home to finish my door hanging for my room. Really want that on door for open house.
Got to get DD up for center in a minute. She had another good night only woke at 5 again and daddy put her back to sleep this time:)
DH and houseguest off to work this morning. He seemed delighted with room and farm. We sat and had dinner with him and fiance. So young but have so many dreams love those young folk LOL. He is excited to go to basics and get life started for them. He wants to buy her a ring with first paycheck:)) He made her a temporary ring how sweet.
Well got to make beds and get DD up and dressed this am. Hope you all have great day.
Vicky go to Harley Davidson site I bet that will give you ideas. You could probably google Harley Davidson Fabric also. I bet there is some out there. I will look in some magazines I have I was thinking there was a morotcycle themed quilt a while back in one of them will let you know:)
Prayers and God bless

Vicky - A Harley quilt will be awesome. Harley riders are VERY dedicated to their bikes. If you could ask what type it is and the color, you can get an idea of colors besides the traditional black and orange that represents Harley. Harley also has its own system for types of bikes. We are Harley owners and I still haven't figured out the system yet.
I also need to work in my sewing room because it is the house catch all. I only have about 2 tons of "precious items" back there.
DD doctor's appointment yesterday went very well. Everything is fine!! Praise God for that!! The doctor thinks it was the result of medication.
Life at our house is beginning to look on the bright side again!

Re: Tuesday, July 30th
Good Morning to all!!!
We are most likely getting some rain today, so I will probably find my way to the sewing machine. Got some fabric to play with for August Lotto blocks.
Hope you enjoy your days off before your day shift, Lori, and Suzette, it is good to here you are getting your time organized better. Glad you had a good day at work, too.
Teresa; if you are showing off fabric from a wedding dress, how about the "snowball" block, where you could use wedding dress fabric for the main square with some pastels in the corner triangles.
I am very much enjoying my little hummingbird friends. I think the little hatchlings are grown up and feeding now. I have to fill the feeders every day, and sometimes twice in one day. It is so much fun.
Have fun today doing whatever is on your calendar.

Good Crisp & Cool Morning!!!!
My goodness is 65' out & 67' in the house. Slept great, needed to add a quilt. Thank you Canada!
Finished the tea pot top. I was happy to find a tea pot themed fabrics to sash & border it, so it's a little bigger than I thought it would be. It turned out to be 30x21.
My flat is fixed. He came & filled it with air & I drove right there & it cost me $10 to have it fixed. Then off to the LQS for accent buttons for the teapot wall hanging. We went through thier button jar & I found 5 little one & it cost me nothing....so a very good day!
Today a few uglies, a few phone calls & I'll sandwich the wall hanging.
Suzette....I'm happy work was better for you. It sounds like they found the paint tosser....I wonder why?
Lori....Happy Anniversary! Yes it's a really nice break, 6 days. Will you do anything special?
Lois....Happy sewing...
Vicky....Hope you get to your sewing room & cleaning. I know I've seen HD fabric...good luck.
Teresa....too bad about those dogs. I always take the car down the road to the mail because sometimes there is a loose dog & it's too friendly. Can I suggest you try fondling some fabric?
izzy....sending you my 'hopes' for finishing your door hanging. It will make a welcoming sight for all.
Diana....happy to hear you appointment went well & things are getting back into balance.
Velda....I have hummingbirds for the first time in my life. The never came to my feeder on Long Island. Here they like the red geraniums & red bagonias.
Well need to do a dew uglies & dry mop my bedroom...
Love & Prayers...Kathy
