Monday, July 22

Post by suzette58 » Sun Jul 21, 2013 9:56 pm

Good morning everyone.
Well, yesterday I got the sun shade done for the boat. The only problem when you are dealing with mice chewing fabrics is they don't chew in a circle or square. Something easy to clean up and cover. I managed to also clean up my studio. I had to switch back to Nina the Bernina and put the Singer back. Today after work I will get back to working on the Quilts of Honor quilt. It is coming out really nice.

Have a wonderful day.

Suzette

Moning.....

I'm up with the birds this morning, there are 2 of them with too much to say.

Suzette....sounds like you had a very productive day.

Lois......I'm happy to hers you liked your class.

I'm almost finished with the 2 tea pot blocks. When they're finished they make a nice wall hanging for me(22 x 14). If anyone wants the patterns PM me first & there yours. I'll pop them in the mail when I'm done.
There's food shopping for me to do today...see you later

Love & Prayers

Good morning...
It looks like the weekend was good for everyone. I got the rest of the football/melons together for the DWR, and 10 sets added to the set pieces. There are 26 more sets to put together, then the rows can be put together. However, I am starting to wonder if I may need to make another group of the football/melons to add one more row and have 6 rows by 7 rows instead of 5 x 7. It is hard to tell until I get them far enough along to lay out on the bed. I need to finish getting ready for work, so everyone have a good day today. Blessings.

I see that Kate the Duchess of Cambridge is in labor!
I don't know why this matters to me but I can't wait to see if it's going to be a boy or girl.

I HAVE to work on Kim's quilt. Lydia and I talked about it yesterday and she has another project on it's heels and she was expecting it yesterday... I feel terrible that I didn't get it done for her. So this wee is the PUSH! (this just might be what I needed to get it done!)

But of course I have to "work" this morning. Timesheets need to go in and I think there is a bunch of other things that need doing. I'm also calling another aide for an interview but I'm not having that until later in the week.

Emily has a new student starting today! This one is a man about 60 that has decided he wants to learn the piano, good for him! It's never too late to start.

I hope you all have a nice day.
Look to the Hills!

Vicky

P.S. I just read on Pinterest about a nine patch a day quilt...... I have to STOP and STOP now!!!! I can't start anything else. But, but it's only 1 nine patch a day! And they are so bright and beautiful and I'll have all those brights out anyway.....STOP brain you don't have time!!!!!!!

Good morning ladies,
The sun is up and we will be in the 90 today. I am going to clean and go grocery shopping before I work on the quilt. My daughter starts her training today for productive services. She wants to be a security officer. She is so excited. Everyone has a great day

Afternoon girls.....boy its the hottest day of the year so far, absolutely no breeze and housework is makiing me very hot and bothered, plus this heat doesn't plaay well with my asthma, so i have to keep stopping and starting.....but hey, it will get done :)

The royal baby is on it's way....there will be no updates from the hospital until the baby has arrived and the Queen has been notified and the official notice has been posted.....I so hope it's a girl :)

suze - glad you got to clean up your sstudio, mine stills needs a bit of work LOL

Lois - glad youre enjoying your online class

Kathy - can't wait to see your teapots :)

Mary/Rose - loved your DWR can't wait to see it finished :)

Vicky - hope you get that quilt finished among everything else you have to do....and i love that Emily has a new (older) pupil - you are never too old to learn something new :)

Well I guess its time to stop chatting and go and clean the dining room, so that will be 2 rooms done today, then i can do the sitting room, hall and stairs tomorrow and the the upstairs on wednesday.....I'll save the kitchen for friday, as we will be preparing food on friday for the BBQ and then i can give it one big clean up after its done and we'll be ready :)

Good Morning!

SUZ - great job, getting the shade cover done! I'm not a fan of that type of sewing. I had to mend our ADCO RV cover a few times. It was like running a 30' tent through my sewing machine!

LOIS - what is the focus of your on-line quilting class? Quilting in general or a specific pattern or technique? Enjoy the mag!

KATHY - my birds are quiet this morning. Only a few weeks ago they were all tweeting each other LOUDLY before 5am! I bet your wallhanging is pretty. Thanks for the offer of the pattern, but I have a pattern already, so I'll pass and let someone else have it. Though a friend may see how pretty yours is and say . . ."would you . . . ?"

MARY ROSE - You are ambitious to do a DWR! It's on my to-do-someday-after-I've-done-everything-else list, I am anxious to see the finished quilt!

VICKY - good luck finishing Kim's quilt this week! Looks like you better stock up on midnight oil.

GABRIELE - I hope you can hurry through those errands and uglies so you can get to the quilt! Good luck to your daughter!

JULES - Sounds like you are either late with your spring cleaning or early with your fall cleaning! A room a day works for me! I'm very excited about "your" baby! I'm hoping for a girl, too. I LOVE Charley and Stu's house!

Yesterday I finally circled back to my DD#2's Christmas quilt. I did all the block piecing in May/June and then set it aside to work on other projects. And to let ideas gel on where to go from there since it's my own design. Yesterday I got the top mostly sewn together but since I changed the layout I have to go back and piece two more poinsettia blocks. It should be ready to go on the frame by end of business today! Hooray!! And then . . .?? I'm not sure what I'll work on after that.

Happy Sewing!

Good morning, such a great day it's going to be....

Jerry will slap in the last few slats of laminate on Mar's floor then we can put her bed together and get her room going... I still need a smaller dresser, but will make do with what I have for now...

I am starting laundry and will do my very best to sew my Christmas blocks... If I get them done today I can take them to the post office when I have my mail stopped...

Grandma has decided she would like to have us cook dinner for her.. we eat later than she does so she will be having our dinner one day later in leftovers...I will take her a plate after we eat dinner each night...

my aunt had grandma get on the scale and I think it scared her enough to realize she isn't eating enough or the right things... she weighs 78 pounds and is barely 5' tall...we have offered to cook for her since she got out of the hospital but my mom had her convinced that she didn't need us or our food because of her hate for me... nice huh? sacrafice your mom's health because you're mad at your daughter... hate is a bad bad thing.

this will really benefit me the most because I won't be eating such a heavy lunch.. I will get some lunch meat and make sandwiches... my leftover lunches may just be a thing of the past...lol... and I will get a very small amount of exercise taking her meals to her... she lives in walking distance....win win... so my mom's hate has done me a favor once again...lol...I can turn many situations into a blessing... ;D

Dolores, the way pictures are done is a booger.. but I saw your yard and love it... I wish QIAD could upload pictures like FB does.. right from my computer..

Jules.. great hall where Chaz will graduate.. does she have a large class? and that house.. gosh, I am as excited as she is.. the rooms are wonderful and the back yard is gorgeous.. how completely exciting to be her right now...

Kathy, I have screech owls in the evening and early morning.. they have a lot to say too....

anyway, I need to move my bod.. have sewing to do, laundry to do and I believe I will need to heat to the grocery store a little later today...

hope you all have a super duper day...

Good Morning,,,,we shall hear from Jules ans Jacquie about the new baby I am sure,

I slept very hard last night don't think I moved from the time I hit the bed, A little stiff this morning from the yard work.happen when your almost 67 and you don't know how to pace yourself...I already got yelled at from "Momma Chrissy" for over doing it.

I finished the purse yesterday and for all my fretting and praying it came out well. This was a Lazy Girl pattern and I found it a little hard to read and follow. My biggest worry the zipper...wasn't that bad. but I still avoid then as much as possible.
