Good afternoon ladies, we are in Gettysburg for a couple of days. Today we did the auto tour of all the monuments. There sure are a lot of them. DH knows everything there is to know about the civil war. Me, not so much. But I figure that he goes to all these quilt stores, I can go to BURIEL GROUNDS with him, as long as we are on the top side. We also went to a farmer's market......big joke. All I want is a good tomato. You gals have got me craving them. Do you think I can find any.....NO! Maybe the next stop on our travels.

MaryZ, glad your dental appt went so well and quick too. Now I can see that beautiful smile again in a few weeks.

Chriss, safe travels to you too. We left home on this adventure on May 17th. Been gone 2months. Have another month and a half to go.

Something has happened to my left hip. Sigh. Hurts to put much weight on it and forget steps. Don't know what I did to it. Dd who is a nurse thinks that the RA is to blame. Oh well grin and bear it ...like mama use to say. Lol. But now I can get out of walking Luke. DH hates going for a walk, but now he is doing it for me. (Loving it)

Well I am off to see if they have any quilt stores around. What did we ever do without the Internet.

Just wanted to report....We, here in the Sw. corner of Pa. just had rain! And we even had the thunder boomers to go with it....It rained for about 1/2 an hour - 45 minutes and we probably got an inch....No watering for me tonight.......

Maryz, I have one doggie furbaby, a cock-a-poo, and two kitty furbabies.

Cindyg, I'm not sure about the full moon, but maybe the weather patterns could have had something to do with the behavior.

Thanks Chickie, I'm glad you like it.

Chriss, Morro Bay will be so much fun.

DH is asking about dinner so I guess I better go fix something. Everyone have a good night.

Good evening! As usual, my plans changed. DH had to go to town, so I went along—first picked a bouquet of gladiolus and went to the hay meadow and picked some Kansas gayfeather to include with the glads. I carried them all in a 5-gallon bucket and arranged them when I got to Mom’s. I also took a mess of corn for my sister or BIL to cook for them and Mom. We had a nice visit.

We had some black clouds and heavy skies this afternoon—even some thunder in the distance. Sigh! NO rain!!! I’m going to give Mother Nature her chance to redeem herself this evening, and if she doesn’t I’ll be up early tomorrow morning with my hoses!

Gabriele—I love your projects!!! You are very productive… unlike myself! You will love this forum, too!!! Everyone is so helpful, friendly and sincere!!! They made me feel welcome from the day I found them!

Scrap48—I’m really curious as to what saskatoons are… like plums? You have been busy! I always picture your plump yellow kitty when you talk about him. It makes me smile! Good luck with your deck repairs!

Karlene—I tried the shampoo and couldn’t see any difference at all.

Vicky—good for you with the walking, swimming and Vitamin D absorption! I got my Vit D while hanging out clothes today!

Judi—I didn’t get my bread mixed up today… pesky change of plans!

Tina—how exciting for you! I totally understand why you might want to spend time with your DS and not us!

Izzy—did you get your beans picked? I can understand your wanting a swim after that chore! You are on a roll with your Christmas blocks!!!

Jana—you will have to show photos of your fabric explosion! I like having plenty since there are no quilt shops close! How’s that for a creative excuse to buy fabric!!!

Carole—hope your hip feels better! Could you have slept so soundly that you didn’t move? Hope you find some fresh, locally grown tomatoes!!! YUM!!! Sounds like you are getting a Civil War education with your personal guide! You will have to start purchasing Civil War fabrics and the quilt books to go with them! Tell your DH it’s all his fault, that he piqued your curiosity and interest!!!

Irish—I’m so envious of your rain!!! We just get these little teasers—spatters of mud on the dusty windshields (and my windows).

Chriss—enjoy your visit to Morro Bay! Beautiful!!!

Mary-Rosebud—enjoy your evening! Your quilt is really lovely!!!

Enjoy your evening!!! I'm off to clean up the dinner dishes.
