Good Afternoon Girls

Well, I'm home from the cabin.. taking a little break from unpacking all the crap I brought home. Was a quick trip... got up there about noon yesterday and was home by noon today! It was a little sad leaving it for the last time, but I have many happy memories of spending quiet time up there sewing and staring out at the lake, and a couple weekends when the kids were with me. It's a little sadder for my sissy, Ann, as it's really quite a signal that her relationship with the DEX (ex boyfriend) is really over. He has very quickly moved on and that's kind of what hurts.

We went out for dinner last night and won at Pull tabs! Each of us walked out with $100. so that covered the cost of the trip! I even got Sissy to take a little nap yesterday, which is quite an accomplishment as she has a spring in her butt and very rarely sits still. I guess 'cause she's younger than I am she has more energy!

I tried to type you all a message from the cabin on my phone, but those buttons are just too tiny and I can type much faster on my computer!

Happy Birthday Vicky... Hope your day has been a wonderful day with family and friends. How did Caleb do on his tests? When we he find out the results?

Jules.. I'll be anxious to hear about the new Royal Baby! I hope they give her a nice name... does the Queen get to name her like she did Beatrice and Eugenia? I too hope it's a girl... because then one day England will have a Queen again---after King Charles and King William!

Jacquie.... Good to see you again, and happy to hear that YOU are feeling better these days. Divorce is hard, no matter how it goes, but when I look back at my unhappy married years... I know that it was right the right thing... even tho at the time it wasn't what I wanted.. It's all turned out so much better. I could NEVER have the fabric stash I have now if I was still married to DEX!!!

Joanne... Hello Stranger!!! Did I see you post yesterday... I'll have to go back and check it out and see what you are up to!!!

Kathy.... I bet you are happy to be home! How is DD doing without you?

Suzette... is your DH now an expert at repairing ceilings? Send him up here.. I have 2 huge holes in my kitchen ceiling from where a light fixture fell out 10 years ago, still have had the $$ to get it fixed... because it means redoing all the ceiling in my upstairs. Last estimate was $3000. All the ceiling tiles in my downstairs family room need to be replaced too, but at least that's a project I can do myself.

Well, girls, my break is over, I think I better go throw in another load of laundry, unpack a few more things from the car and mow the lawn after all. Not sure if I get another chance to mow until next Sunday so I better take advantage of the nice dry day.

Sorry I didn't get to greet you all, but if I get the mowing done, I'll have some time to sew tonight... at least that's the goal!

Have a great afternoon every one.

Chriss: I am not a huge fan of hand quilting, but this project is just a small table runner. I am not using a frame, just have it pinned and am stitching it as I sit in my recliner watching TV.

I got quite a bit done today, hopefully just a little each day, will get me to the finish line. :)

Jacquie: Wow, 18 mile ride!!!! Even doing it in two parts is awesome. DH and I just ordered two folding bikes. One came damaged and had to be sent back to be replaced. But hubby adjusted the one for me, so I have been riding a little each day, but doing 10 minutes at a time is a lot right now. Just riding for exercise and fun around the campground. I am hoping to benefit from the riding to help my blood glucose readings. I have had an awesome week so far. Also, I may even loose a pound or two on the scale. :)

There is so many things going on and I hate to leave anyone out when I make a comment. I enjoy reading everyone's post. I hope for the best for all of you.

Tomorrow, July 15, My husband and I will celebrate 46th Wedding Anniversary. We were just talking about things this afternoon and both agree that we sure have been blessed with happiness and a wonderful life. We are so much enjoying our retirement and prayer that God will bless us with many more good years together.

We plan to go out to dinner tomorrow night, and on Tuesday, we are making a road trip to visit our son and daughter-in-law. We will go out to dinner again with them to celebrate and stay over night and return home on Wednesday. This week will go so fast!!!

It's hard to believe that we are half way through July already. Seems like you just blink your eyes and the days fly by!!!

Have a great evening. See you all again tomorrow.

Hugs
Velda
