Good Morning Girls

Quite cloudy here this morning and I can hear thunder off in the distance... I think we are getting some rain today!!! We sure could use it. I am off to work again today of course, yesterday my room mate and I both worked 11 hours...the late shift people (12-9) called in sick and there was nobody else to stay and get stuff done! This happens a LOT, that Stacy and I are the ones to stay late and needless to say we are not happy about it. I just try to chalk it up to "Life isn't fair". But I sure am looking forward to having tomorrow off!

Chrissy... I remember Randi... I saw her obit in the Mpls paper and thought that must be the Randi we knew. Funny thing is, I keep getting "friends" request from her on Facebook! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I missed the news about your Daughter... hope she is doing better.

Kathy... I bet you are anxious to get home... Hope the Dr has good news for your DD and she doesn't need more surgery!

Chriss.. interesting theory about Ants being spies for the FBI. For some reason they are really "spying" on me this summer. I used some Terro Ant Traps and they worked like a charm! If I give you my grocery list will you pick up a few things for me too?

Judi... hope you make it to the pool today..

Vicky... after you get the leaves all glued down.. how to you sew them down? Do you applique them down my hand?

Oh boy, it's really raining here now... thunder and everything. I suppose I better turn off computer just to be safe! Don't want it to blow up on me!

Gotta get ready for work too!

Wishing you all a most wonderful day

NERTZ NERTZ NERTZ!!!!! I just hit a wrong button and lost the long diatribe I was writing. No time to rewrite but I read all. For those going off to work - have a quick and easy day. For those travelling - be safe and alert. For those staying home - lucky you!

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning :o)
It has been so hot that I am trying to just stay inside and sew :o) I am almost finished with my Chrismas Blocks for the swap :o) very happy about that!
The pump on our pond quit working so we'll have to get a replacement when we go pick up my new lenses for my glasses, at least it's still under warranty so I only have to buy the warranty on the new one.
Not much else going on here.
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Send rain please :o)

Good morning!

It is cloudy outside with lots of blue sky - our thunderstorms have moved east - we are to get hot again - up in the 100's - but only for a couple of days. Our monsoon moisture is here early and we will be getting storms for the next month.

It is the Pattern Webinar with El in a little while - I have my tablet all charged to sit and watch it - it is a fun pattern this month - already thinking of fabric to use - like I need another project! LOL

Got most of the uglies done for the week and the house back under control from the parties here. It is quiet - no kidlets at all!

Matt will be back tomorrow with a tractor and a tiller attached - he will be tilling up the backyard and getting the sprinkle trenches dug. There may be lawn in the near future! Happy Dance!!

Need to scoot -
Have a great day
Hugs
Jana

Good morning,

Back at work for me today. It was nice being off for five days in a row. I did, however, pout all day yesterday because I knew I was not getting paid for staying home! LOL It just sucks all the fun out of staying home from work if you don't get paid for it. Can't even use our annual leave or sick leave to make up for it! Oh well, I'll get over it.

Worked on my swap blocks for my guild swap. Each block it taking me five hours to do, so far. Paper-piecing! I do love paper-piecing, though, just maybe not for a swap. Oh well, live and learn.

Kathy, hope your DD gets good news from the doctor today so you can head for home soon.

Well, hate to post and run, but a ton of email and paperwork to go through.....

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Mel

Good afternoon! We are at 97 degrees and it’s still early! I went with DH to town to run his errands and get some produce. In a few minutes I need to leave to take Tinker Bell to the vet for her annual shots and have her foot looked at. I think she may have a sticker or thorn that I am unable to see. I cut out some matted hair from between her toes, and it helped. However, since I’m going for her shots I will have her checked.

I’ll be watering when it cools down.

Izzy—We all really like jalapeno jam here. It’s great over cream cheese with Ritz crackers! I made a couple of batches of it, then DS3 made bunches more. Was yours colored? I make mine with red, green and yellow sweet peppers and red and green jalapenos. I don’t put any coloring in it or strain it, so it looks like tiny bits of confetti in a pale, clear jelly. I really like your flower power runner and hope to get the pattern when it comes out.

Vicky—what sewalong did you join? I think a black background really makes almost any quilt pop!

Sorry I’m not sticking around. Need to get my act together and get going. I guess Odie will accompany us for moral support and to learn that he doesn’t always have to fear the vet!

Stay cool! Send rain!!!

Good afternoon from warm, overcast, dreary, SW. Pa....Today is becoming a "fast" day.....
We left early to take a friend of Jim's to get food vouchers, stopped and had lunch and then we had to go to a local farm and get some goodies.....I jokingly texted Kathy about the corn being ready and how much did she want...Well, she wants corn and as much as we can get in one of those special boxes...The people at the farm thought it was great that their corn is going to Reno...In fact, I think everyone in SW. Pa. knows Kathy is getting corn.....It's been the main topic at our post office, lol......

I had started my Summer Porch and it's really a fun quilt to work on....And since it's a dreary day, what better way to spend it by working with fabric....But, I have come up with my own conclusion....I normally don't wash my fabric and I have a feeling that's what is making me itchy....Has this happened to anyone else? Hopefully by washing it, it might help..( I sure hope so)...

Chriss, That hubby of your's might be on to something...Who knows what the government might be up too.....I think I've finally convinced Jim to agree, we need new wall covering in the bathroom, along with flooring and a new vanity...If you going to do one, why not do it all, right??? I told him, I'd handle it...I haven't watched HGTV and Bob Villa all these years for nothing...

And on that note, my dinner needs to be worked on....I kind of promised a strawberry pie and need to get with it on that......

You all have a good day................

Jalepeno jelly was green with flakes in it. Its good just dont think we would eat that much of it for me to make some. Anyone got good recipe for hot bannana peppers got bunches of those coming in garden.

Watched El webinar she is too funny wore elf shoes and Orion was santa. Too cute they were exspecially when he changed out her belt:))LOL What a good son:)
