VICKY - oh, that's no fair! Dangle a carrot and then not tell us about it!

JUDI - you did a lot the last few days. Not surprised you had a "lie-in" as Jules would say!

MARY Q - the closest I have to your white, I think, is a WOW check pattern about 1.5/8th of an inch in size. But I'll keep my eye out. do you remember where you got it?

JANA - fireworks in this tinder dry summer sound scary to me! Smart of you to be prepared!

SHARONA - Happy birthday to Jim!! you two, really do live on the edge, don't you! Bill would love it if I would let him have one of Costco's sausages for his birthday (which is July 20th). Maybe I'll do that . . . . Party hearty!!

CHRISS - your day sounds like a lot of fun! Know you'll enjoy and I hope you both find some wonderful treasures!

CINDY - where you at, girl??

I'm going into my sewing room now for an hour and then off to my massage. aaahhhhhh. . . . .

Suz - lucky you - today is you last day to work this week.

Lois - good for you to go have your mamms grammed. I need to make my appointment.

Vicky - oh, I must go look and vote! Thanks for the reminder.

Maryz - enjoy that massage. Since you are done with your sewing room cleaning, mine could stand to have you come visit. Don's BD is July 9th but we will celebrate at the lake this weekend. We will have chili dogs - LOL. I will bake him a cake of some sort.

Chriss - I love people like your aunt. I'm so quiet and bashful that those kinds of people keep me entertained.

Sharona - HOOT Costco for a birthday lunch. What could be better? Happy Birthday to him!

Maryq - I had to stop for gas this morning, too. Our weather is not so bad today. Going to be in the low 90's but the humidity is low so it's not so sultry.

Judi - goodness, I wouldn't get up unless I absolutely had to. I'm so sick of waking up to an alarm clock.

Jana - I dislike fireworks because they are such a hazard but I do love the huge fireworks displays. We are very dry here, too, but we might get rain this weekend. How's the basement coming along?

I'm at work - so busy and I keep running into snafoos. Grrrrr Going to lunch with my church buddies. We're going to a buffet and I always overeat because they have yummy desserts. I should be a good girl and eat the no sugar, low fat blueberry pie......but I won't. I'll have a big piece of carrot cake. Last night I washed some new fabric and finished up 4 more blocks for my floral applique quilt project.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning :o)
We did get a LITTLE rain last night! I haven't gone out yet to see what damage the wind did..we had 50+mph winds before it hit and the dirt was awful! It was a fast hard rain that didn't last more then 15-20 minutes.
I'll be working on candle flames today :o) I think if I get those out of the way then putting the blocks together will zoom by :o)
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Hi, All-- just checking in for a minute. I was up early to water and picked two bouquets of flowers for Mom. DGD, Odie and I will be taking them to her soon. Then a little grocery shopping and home... I haven't had a chance to do any sewing. It's always busy with DGD. She got to go swimming yesterday, and we plan to go tomorrow. Have a great rest of the day!!!

Quick stop in today. My "babies" will be here tomorrow and I still have some cleaning to do. They will be tired after driving cross-country, but they got to see the Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore on their way here.

Maryz - So sorry about losing Snickers. We are all so attached to our furbabies. They are part of the family and love us no matter what. I always think of the Rainbow Bridge poem when we lose one of our pets.

Leetec - I checked and you are right. I live about 100 miles north of you just off Rte. 127. Maybe some day we can meet up half way for lunch. Judi and I may do that also. She lives about 100 miles just north of me. Small world.

billizzy - Love the pictures of your goats and chicks. They are so cute.

Judi - Your Dresden plate is beautiful. I have never tried one, but I have a template and pattern I got at the Houston Quilt Show last year. You have made me want to get it out. I usually do things in Civil war era Reproduction fabs, but I think your use of 1930's era fabric would be better. I may have to make a trip to my LQS. AH! I am going to have to live to 125 so I can get all of my projects done I want to do.

Well better go get back to uglies and other things. Hope you all get to play with your fabric today.

Sherry

I had fun at the thrift stores.. don't know why this small town has about 7 stores but they do... I bought two blouses.. not sure if they fit or not but were only 50cents each, got some quilt books and magazines... Marilyn got a couple of tank tops...

My aunt did talk non stop.. sometimes I didn't even hear her... but I do love her...

Maryq.. your package of fabric went in today's mail... should be there friday...I will pm you the confirmation number.. it's so wonderful that the post office gives you free delivery confirmation now.. and the gal told me that soon they will offer $50 of insurance for free too..

the calendar swap is full... I am about half way done with my Christmas swap blocks then will get on my calendar blocks... fun fun...

hope you all have a great night,
Chriss
