Re: Monday, June 24th
Good overcast late June morning. We are having some June gloom here today. I am still laying low, nursing this sore and achy broken rib. I did go to visit my mom yesterday, and I saw her new apartment for the first time. It's lovely--much nicer than her old apartment, but she hates it! Her complaints are not unreasonable, but all are counterbalanced by serious concerns the new apartment addresses. Thank goodness, the dark side of her personality is also counterbalanced right now...by antidepressants! I'm hoping to be up to a walk this afternoon. We'll see...
SUZETTE, how special to be told you look like a grandmother you never knew. That's some story about the picture of your aunt. What a terrible consequence for childplay!
LOIS, I hope your day at work speeds by and you get to enjoy your sewing room tonight.
JULES, I hope your blood is strong, your weight is down, and the top in your head appears in our photos thread soon.
SANDY, I'm praying for simple rain for you, no flash floods!
JACQUIE, it sounds like you're moving forward and turning over some wonderful new leaves. I hope the next time you walk into your sewing room you are overcome with a burning desire to sit down and sew!
JUDI, I'm so glad you're officially off restrictions, now don't wear yourself out chasing after the cat hair!
CHRISS, prayers for your step-grandma.
VELDA, so glad you got that awning stowed in time to save it. CRAZY weather! How exciting that you're getting ready for your big move!
MARYZ, welcome home! Is your package there? What did you get? I'm very nosey about packages, I just NEED to know what's inside! Congratulaions to your sister on the new addition to her family...and double congratulations on choosing a rescue! I bet little Panzer will be fattened up to a healthy weight in no time!
MARYQ, I just hate it when I lose my posts! I hope your work day just flies by and you get home in no time.
SHARONA, that sounds like the sort of thunder that would send me under the bed with the dogs!
VICKY, a lightning bolt hit your back yard...I don't know where the dogs and I would hide if that happened!!!
JANA, good luck with your lightning. I hope there are no new fires...and that it's not too scary!
CINDYG, isn't it amazing how much lint collects in our machines! Prayers continue for Ed. Good for him to fight it in spite of the doctor's predictions!
MIRIAM, I hope you get some nice rain AFTER all the wheat and hay are in!
KARLENE, how exciting that you get to see the ultrasound today!
TINA, you are very busy!!!
Well, time is zooming and I'm not. I'm probably so late that I'm last! Pretty soon I'll think about changing into my street clothes and invite my neighbor to go for a walk.

Well there's good news and bad news on the computer front. Good news is the Cable guy fixed the internet! YAY! And I can use my lap top
Bad news that something in the inside the big PC is fried
It does turn on and HD is sure we can get the files off if he can't fix it. So that's all good but it isn't going on the internet. Darryl and the kids "made" this computer as a school project, so he knows a bit more then I do about the inside working of it.
It is storming again now so I'm off to unhook my baby!

Just a quickie for you all, a stone is 14 pounds in weight......I lost another 3 pounds tonight, so in total I have lost 12 pounds, hoping to have hit my first stone next week.....the 'top' in my head is not a quilt top, it's a top for me to wear, I have some cheap fabric I can use to see if it works out then I can make it with the correct fabric
Prayers sent for those with illnesses/cancer, for those in bad weather and those with fried computers......and smiles and happiness sent to you all xxxxx
