Re: Prayer Garden
Ruth, Prayers, indeed, for you tomorrow as you go into surgery. Sounds like a good follow-up diet tho. Guess you won't be able to talk for awhile but you can still write. Keep us posted. Praying that all goes well for you and the healing is quick.
May God bless you and be at your side thru all the ordeal coming up. May you be surrounded by angels and feel the love, hugs, and warmth of prayers and caring from all of us here. Take care dear friend.
Blessings, prayers for all your needs today and always. Love and hugs, across the miles and oceans too, Shirley Mae

Re: Prayer Garden
THANK YOU EVERYONE!! for your prayers. I am feeling great! Didn't need any pain meds at all!! I usually take some Tylenol with codone the first day and then reg. Tylenol the next morning and I'm good. This time nothing! Praise the Lord!!
Now I can't talk for two weeks which is more painful.....LOL Everyone kids my husband that it must be wonderful but in reality he hates it. I use a dry erase board but it is such a pain to have to write everything. You'd think after 52 yrs. together, (this coming Sun.) he should be able to read my mind! but no way. And if we were tired of each other and didn't talk much......but no, we're still good friends and talk a LOT! But the good outweighs the bad more than 95% of the time, so I can't complain. Thank you again everyone!

Re: Prayer Garden
What great news of success, Ruth. Oh how hard it is when you can't be talking. I had larengitis(spelling is awful), for about a week to 10 days. So hard to express ourselves without our voices.
I shall say a little prayer for patience for you.

Re: Prayer Garden
Thank You all for your prayers, Now that I have a moment I can tell you what was going on. My Son was admitted to ICU with Pulmonary Embolism so I packed a bag and headed down to Arkansas by my self. There was a huge detour getting there over 100 miles out of the way. Oh well I just got there a little late. By the time I got there they had down graded him to a regular room. He was still having problems breathing and they transferred him to a hospital in Jonesboro, so my DGS and I followed the ambulance to Jonesboro. They ran more test and were going to do some procedure that takes the fluid off the space between the lung and heart but because they had given him Coumadin they couldn't do that so the gave something else that will take about 10 days to dissolve the blood clot. They released him on Tuesday. I was such a wreck and was heading home, my DH told me not to come right home, but to put Paducah in my navigation system and stop by the QIAD, quilt museum, and LQS's in the area, take a day just for yourself and distress. You know I took him up on it and boy that was wonderful. First stop was QIAD and they are a bunch of wonderful people. Had a blast and talked like we were old lost friends, something I really needed at that time. Thank You all once again, Joan

Re: Prayer Garden
Great news Joan! I'll be praying for his continued recovery.
What a wonderful husband and what a lovely way to wind down for a little while.
I was in Paducah once and went to the museum. The quilts were exquisite. The theme at that time was horses and the quilts looked like paintings. Some of those exhibitors were so prolific, they must have quilted 22 hrs. of every day to have made so many quilts in one lifetime. Unfortunately we were there on a Sun. so the store was closed. I did sit on the steps and take a picture and then drooled on the windows a little as I peered inside....LOL Someday I'll make it back so I can say I've shopped in both stores.
