Good morning!

Lois – sure hope work runs by quickly.

Lori – what a beautiful quilt! I’m duly impressed.

Suzette – sorry about the heat wave. We’re in the high 40s this morning and not getting above the mid-70s for almost a week. I’ll try to push it towards you.

Debbie – I have to look at my alarm clock to confirm what day it is!

Girl – you are determined with those green beans! I love green beans – I’m going to can a bunch of them this fall.

Judi – have fun at the buffet – hope it doesn’t get too toasty out there.

Sherry – sounds like you have a good day planned. My DH’s sister lives in IL, and the farmers out there aren’t able to get their crops in because there’s been so much rain. Please send me some of your ambition, as I need to get a GoodWill run together also.

Vicky – it’s almost done – YAY! I hope you were able to at least get your potatoes in…

Maryq – it’s wonderful to have you back with us, although I totally understand your heart being elsewhere. What a beautiful family Jen has. Eli is such a cutie, and I’m very glad that Kaya is such a good big sister. I loved the pictures on FB of the little man – especially the one where he’s wearing glasses. My favorite, though, is of you, Jen and Eli –two beautiful women and a baby.

Miriam - I saw the pickle movie thing - I need to reread the book as I cannot remember anything about it! Maybe I forgot to read it - good grief who knows. In any event - thanks for the opportunity for me to be current about something!

I think we only need four more bags of mulch. It was really cold watering the new plants last night. Not much else going on here. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Lois - I hope you do get to squeeze in some sewing today.

Lori - I'll look at your link during my lunch hour.

Suz - how much longer will your brother be here? It's summertime here for sure. We have heat and the humidity is awful.

Debbie - good to see you.

Girl - you do sound like you have a lot going on. We camped over the holiday, too. Please send us some of your rain.

Grammie - breakfast buffet sounds good. We got home from camping yesterday. I was NOT ready to come home.

Sherry - I cleaned out my closet/drawers, too and had Purple Heart pick up the 3 trash bags full of clothes and shoes. Any day is a good day to stay in and sew.

Vicky - send us some of your rain please. Can't wait to see Kim's quilt all finished.

Maryq - it's good to go and see the grands but it's also good to come back home and get back to the routine. I'm glad you got to visit some LQSs and got plenty of hugs and kisses. What a beautiful family they are.

Well, we're back from the lake and I'm back at work today. My desk is piled high (was empty when I left) and I have payroll to do today. I took the RV quilt I'm making to the lake and tried it on the bed to see if I needed an additional border but I don't. Once I get the piano key border on it it will be plenty big. YEA! I have a lot of reading to do at my lunch time. Gotta get caught up with you girls.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Debbie....,have a good day.

Girl....good luck with the 3ed planting. I love eating g beans as I'm picking them.

Judi.....enjoy you last day & I hope you find a little something interesting to do.

Sherry.....there is always too much to do. I say pick sewing or John Wayne.

Vicky...you are sounding like your old sewing self. Rain is a sigh from heaven to sew!!(:

Maryq...Eli(love that name)is so cute!!! What a wonderful picture of the new family.

Sharona....My mulching is going to have to wait for Friday.

Cindyg....welcome back. I like when all of you go places I feel like I took a little trip too with out all the work. Sorry about you desk.

Good Morning,

Wished we would get some of that rain huh Miriam? We could sure use it. Hopefully today we will. Just in case we don't guess I'll go out and water.
Got my pillow blocks all sewn together and stuffed (4) now sewing them shut so I can deliver them tomorrow. While I am in that directions we will stop and see the Great Grandkids haven't seen them in awhile and they do grow so fast and change.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning :o)
I need to go sprinkle my flowers this morning before the horrible winds kick up and before it gets too hot. We are still hoping for rain, all you that don't want it please ask it to come over here. I was hurting so bad with my back last night I wanted to cry, I was cutting out Log Cabin Blocks that are the filler blocks for my Jamestown BOM, there are 24 Log Cabins that go with the 12 BOM ones, I still need to do 3 more colors and then they will all be cutout :o) I want to get them all sewn together because I have finished block 9 and we finish this up in Aug and when I finish that last block I want to be all ready to sew that puppy together! :o)
Maryq, what a beautiful family :o)
Well I better scoot before it gets too hot. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.

Good morning all.

Another gray, wet, blah day here in the Great PNW. Hope Maryz found a dry spot to go camping!

Welcome home Maryq. What a beautiful family! I know it was hard to leave them, but there is something to be said for being back in your own bed.

Not much going on in these parts. Need to go pick out some paint for the railing we are having put up on the front porch and the back deck. Didn't do anything after work last night except take a nap! Oh well, maybe tonight I will get something done.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I need to get busy and get some filing done. I'll check back later.

Hugs,
Mel

Good morning, good morning,
Not much going on here. Like Kathy and Vicky said, we had a lot of rain between yesterday and last night, but the forecast was for 80 deg. today. I had my doubts, but as I left the house, it was warm out already so it should be humid today which means my hair will just keep getting bigger as the day progresses!

Lori - that is a quilt I've bookmarked, but I still don't love applique enough yet to make it now.

Maryq - what a great picture!

Tina - praying for rain for NM

A dear friend had knee replacement surgery yesterday in Chicago. I heard from her daughter this morning and it sounds like it went well. She is 89 and had the other knee done last year. She looks frail as a bird, but keeps going.

Enjoy your day,
Karlene

Good morning!

We got about an inch of rain yesterday - much needed - and snow up on the highest peaks - all good! Except that my lawn needs to be mowed - Michael is looking at a tractor that will mow as well as do tilling - just have convince him!

Quiet day here - little one is down for a nap so I can get my uglies caught up.

Need to make hay while the sun shines!
Have a great one
Hugs

Good afternoon from semi sunny, warm, SW. Pa.....We're finally getting some summerlike weather and by the weekend, we'll be I the throes of August like days.....

My doctor visit yesterday was a good one....I can do what I want, well, within limit, I guess.....He said, the heart cath showed damage but not to the point of surgery yet.(yeah) and he's hoping a new med will help control the beat..Always good when the heart beats...I'll tell you, you turn 39 and the body just falls apart.....So I celebrated by having breakfast with my sister and DDIL at IHop....Oh so good.....

Today, Jim and I are trying to get the porches in order and plant the flower beds...Being known as "Frick and Frack", sometimes we don't work well together, lol....And there have been times, if I could have dug a hole deep enough, someone would have been in it....But, now we just need to get the beds mulched...I made new cushions for all the furniture so it's gonna look pretty darn good, if I do have to say so......

It seems, there's always something happening...#3 DS bought a house near campus for his DS and some of the Lacrosse team to live in until they graduate..So, now everyone in the family is gathering up any thing they might need...I went through all my dishes and really cleaned out..Cupboards are almost bare....

Maryq, what a gorgeous family...I have a feeling you did your share of holding Eli...He is a sweetie and sounds like he's growing like a bad weed.....

Lori, that quilt is so pretty....What a labor of love.....

Well, my glass of tea is empty and I best get back outside....Wouldn't want leave Jim and those sacks of mulch too long.....

Have a great day..................
