Happy Fabric Friday All!! I am home sick today so I thought I would drop in...

Lori, how wonderful, 60 years together is a blessing! I am sure their anniversary quilt is beautiful, any pictures??

Suzette, I envy your studio time. We moved 6 months ago and my all my machines are still packed down.. I was hoping to get in there this weekend but the creep and crud may keep me away.

Velda, I understand the break from big projects, I am trying to decide on holiday gifts right now so mug rugs with a cute cup and homemade hot choc mix came to mind after reading your post.. I think my list has a beginning at least :-)

Judi, our little local quild doesn't seem to have the strict rules but as a newcomer to the area (been here 25 years but wasn't born here) I don't feel very welcomed when I'm there... Miss that feeling when I walk thru the door so don't go much either. Like the idea of a smaller sit and sew group and may explore that option.

Kathy, I love the idea of flower boxes and can't wait to see pictures of yours! Our backyard is completely torn up at the moment, having a patio, fire pit and built in BBQ installed then the planting of pretty things can begin. I have two dogs that will be sooo happy when the dirt is covered up and they can go into the back yard again.

Sharona, I am with you, dejunking! Our move was very quick so I didn't have a chance to do it before and I have 15 years worth of stuff gathered since the last move. I had no idea what a pack rat I was until now, DH knew but was sweet enough to just smile and add more shelves for me.. Bless his heart!

Cindyg, We have a donut fairy at work too! Bless them, it is sometimes the only thing that makes being there worth it LOL I will be seeing DD and DGS this weekend and hope to squeeze in time to get my machine unpacked to stitch a bit..

Farm Chick, I look forward to the day my HQ16 is back up and stitching! I have several quilt tops that would love to be fondled! Hope you and Debbie get time to play with your Gammil soon...

Maryz, I think a picnic sounds like great fun! Enjoy!!!

I hope I can get over this cold soon, would hate to have to cancel Mothers Day with DD, it is her first! DGS is 6 months old and has been a very sick baby with the hospital a regular part of his life so even though I really want to see them, I can't be anywhere near him unless I am completly over this crud.. I am so thankful he is not considered critical any longer and is getting stronger. He is our blessing baby!

To all before this post and all that follow, have a wonderful day, hug someone you love and wish you all Happy Stitching! Debi

Good afternoon all,
We are getting some more off and on rain today. I actually got one of my quilts quilted yesterday and just have to do the quilting on the border and finish that puppy. It is so nice to actually make progress on something.

I took all my leftovers up to Victoria so I will have to come up with something for dinner tonight - hmmmm

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Good morning!

I made it here today - you see that was not a given as the construction guys working up the street, yesterday afternoon, - tearing it up again to put in a sewer line for a new house - cut and mangled the phone lines and internet! Uggh!!! And if that wasn't bad enough, they just went home and didn't call in the repair order!! Michael was on a business conference call at the time too - so he had to switch over to his cell phone. So I thought that the bird was the excitement for the day - guess not! LOL We called the repair order in and were told that it would be late tonight before they had it working again - well at least they got it done early!!!

So since my day didn't start out as I planned, I decided that I would wash the rugs in the house today - so far so good - got about 2/3 of the great room done - then just my luck - ran out of rug cleaner soap!!

I think that I should have stayed in bed this morning!

I was able to stop at a good spot and will continue later this afternoon after I go and get some more soap. What I have cleaned so far looks really good - all the windows are open to help the drying. Michael is going to the store for me now, so I can get done. I will be one tired puppy, but it will look so much better.

So my break is over for now - little one was helping me earlier, and ran out of steam, so he is napping - my favorite time to find a me something to do!

Have a great day
Hugs
Jana

I am so glad that I finally feel like a human again... This cold has been wicked and hung on for days. I'm hoping tomorrow will find me back to normal and ready to finish up the pre-mother's day projects. I'm off to slumber land, my pillow is calling me! Sweet dreams all...

Chrissy1, So sorry to read about the loss of such a young woman, you and all who knew and loved her are in my prayers. It is so very important for all women to talk with their primary care doctor to determine how often to have mamograms in regards to their personal medical history!! Debi
