I don't think I have ever seen so much tie dyed clothing in one place in all my life. Even as we were leaving ten motorcycles came down the road and pulled into the church, each wearing tie dyed. I was really glad that I had a little tykes birthday party aft the service. So many of Derek's friends were there and also mo's. say with an old friend atthe party and we got talking about her pineapple upside down cake she makes in a cast iron skillet. Now I need to make one.
Farmchick I will get you that cookie recipe ASAP. I have some really neat recipe cards I have been dying to use so I will mail it.
Well white clothes are ready for the dryer.
Sweet dreams everyone

Chrissy—I have baked pineapple upside down cake in a cast-iron skillet. I’ll look forward to receiving the recipe! I love molasses!!!

MaryZ—I figured that you probably had lots of mushrooms in your neck of the woods… I breaded a bunch today and put them on pans in the freezer. They will be wonderful this summer. I like mine with guacamole or ranch dip. Ketchup is good if nothing else is available. We only found a few today, so guess the season is over. It was better than last year because we had this recent rain. It was warm and sunny today, and the ticks are out en masse! That sure discouraged me from the mushroom hunting! What kind of bird is building the nest? I’ve had Carolina wrens build in the front door wreath. One year I left my clothespin bag out while the clothes dried on the line, and when I went to bring in the laundry a nest was already finished in my bag!!! I put my pins from the clothes on the line in a basket and let the bird have the bag for a nursery. I couldn’t believe how fast she/they built that nest!!!

Jules—did I miss your big day? I’m so sorry! Hope it was wonderful, and you have my permission (encouragement, actually!) to make it birthday WEEK and have cake and presents every day!!!

MaryQ—Cole was walking and sitting in a chair today! The doctors say he can do anything he wants when he comes home. He should be able to play basketball and whatever he wants to do. I think his mom will have something to say about motorcycle jumps!

Sandy—the wood has acid in it, so quilts should be stored in pillowcases. No fabric should touch the wood in drawers or closets. You can use acid-free paper for lining the drawers. Is your blanket chest an antique?

Judi--don't you love being home and in your own routine and diet!!! I love my family, I taught my DD to cook and they do eat differently from us; there's just no place like home!!! We lived for three weeks with Doyal's son and family after the fire, and I did most of the cooking there. I had to learn what everyone liked and would eat. They did miss me when we got into a house of our own, and that made me feel good!
