Good morning.. I don't hear the wind howling today so maybe it will warm up today.. we have two different weather things that post the temp on the computer, one says 44* the other says 52*... not sure who to believe.

has anyone heard from O'Dorothy? She hasn't been here in a while...

any new news on Kathy's daughter?

Maryq.. sorry the job is going 24 hours soon.. to do that they will need to hire more people and hopefully that will give you better shift selection...yes, Marilyn had her hair cut.. my aunt cuts our hair.. and each time Marilyn says.. I want long hair to my ankles and goes on about long hair but when she sits in the chair she decides where it will be lopped off to.. never a dull moment.

Sharona, nope, I am a chicken when it comes to skates, and many other things for that fact....amazing that there is still so much snow.. enjoy your chimes.. they are having mothers day sales May 4th 40% off... let me know if you need my help getting them shipped....I love my chimes.

Cindyg.. sorry DH doesnt' care for home made salad.. I would eat it day and night if the people who lived here would let me..

Maryz.. Coarsgold is only a few miles from here but it takes quite a while to get there, a twisty road..and no short cut... but I love that area.. so much fun..

Judi, I saw those packs of precut hexi's.. a lot of fabric companies make them.. enjoy your braid making...

Carolyn, prayers for John.. the wedding you posted was beautiful.. does that make both DD's married? I'm glad you're back to posting, I think of you often and wonder how you are doing.

Jana, I forgot all about the pattern vidoe.. but can watch it this weekend... don't you think if we are going to end up in someones front yard from the wind Chickie's would be a great place to be.. she's surely fix us a great breakfast...

ShirleyMae.. you have tomatoes??? I am so jealous.. our plants are popping up but we have no veggies yet.. would be nice to get a hot day from this spring....thankfully I got DH to plant a few less plants, our garden has been awful lately.

Chickie.. chineese food sounds great, I haven't had it in a long long time... Marilyn wears (at age 10) a 6 1/2 or a 7 in womans shoes.. I wore that size in 7th grade... if they don't wear out first and are your size they are yours...lol... glad sis made it home.

Teresa, prayers for you and DH.. I have sleep apnea and wouldn't live without my mask for sleeping, it is a true blessing.. what are you making with your hexi's? do you have a pattern planned? have fun in all the shops along your travels...

Lori, our taxes have been sent in, just waiting for the millions to be deposited in our account.. I think we'd have a better chance if we played the lottery.

Lois, your quilt is so cool,

Suzette, enjoy that washer.... it is so cool to get new appliances.

Carole, if you travel are you able to get infusions wherever you are? I would love a percision class, my blocks aren't cooperating with me lately.... I'm not close to my sister either, we are so so different.

Vicky, happy Jovanna day.

Velda, hope the wash is done and the lightening is over

Maryz.. have a fun day with your sis..

for me it's work.. and I need gas... so you all have a super day,

Chriss

Teresa – yayy you started on hexxies :) have a lovely trip, hope DH is well and enjoy the wedding AND all those quilt stores along the way – you lucky girl....and I hope your back settles down

Lori – i bet they all loved your Buckeye Beauty last night and I’m sure it will be much loved at Merryman House, can’t wait to see your GFG

Lois – why does photobucket keep changing.....drives me mad!!!!

Suze – oh I hope its nothing serious at the White House, glad your washer came not too late....happy sewing time :)

Carole – hope you can figure out photobucket, would love to see your quilts....and i hope your infusions are all set for you and you have no hassles getting them :)

Vicky – well done on your walking, I don’t think I could even manage half a mile right now, my knees are too painful and any exertion leaves me gasping for breath, need to up my inhalers and try to get on top of it again......have fun with Tia and Jovanna

Velda – oooh what a shock that thunder and lightening must have been, hope the weather gets better soon and you can get to some sewing :)

Maryz – you are the great encourager LOL......have fun with your sis and goofing off :)

I’m making some ‘dribble bibs’ for my mum and dad to put in their ‘70’ box for their birthday, we have inflatable zimmer frames (walkers), denture cream, brochures for old peoples homes, etc........i’m sure they’ll have a good laugh with it all, so pretty much a quiet day for me today and tomorrow which I’ll need before the big party on Friday.......oh and I might be going to look at a new car with DH later........I used to have a PT Cruiser which I loved and hes noticed they have a new car out called the Ypsilon, which is styled a little like the PT so we’re going to check it out – exciting :)

Good morning!

Teresa – is it Rob that has adult whopping cough? Good grief! Is the sleep study going to be done at home or in a lab? Congrats on coming over to the hexi side. I like your reminder about every day being an opportunity to bless someone. Hope your pain settles down to a more manageable level.

Lori – I bet your buck-eyed beauty got a lot of raves at your meeting last night. Hope your taxes are out the door today so you can enjoy the rest of your days off.

Lois – don’t you wish food would just magically reappear when we use it?! I need to get to Kohls as well.

Suzette – good grief – I hope that turned out to be nothing. I saw today DC is supposed to get up to 90! Surely you won’t get that hot today. Glad your washer showed up at a decent time. Have you used it yet?

Carole – I’m so glad you’ve got a way to quilt in spite of the RA. I need to go check out those Crafty classes – how cool you get to take one in person. So y’all will be gone in the summer? I must have missed that.

Vicky – I have several of her walks – they are great. We’ve been walking around the church behind our house twice day. With all the snow yesterday, I just walked around the inside of the house! Hope the pants aren’t too big a pain to fix. I bet little Jovanna’s feet are still so kissable and cute.

Velda – good grief on your rain and thunder! We almost never get thunderstorms here in the morning – they have to build throughout the day. It’s only 8 degrees here this morning – the blizzard fizzled out but the roads were nice and icy. Hope our storm isn’t coming over to visit you. Have fun in town.

Maryz – boy howdy you are in for some fun today – teeth cleaning – woohoo! How long will your sister stay in a Joann’s before wanting to leave? I wish I felt better after walking. I told DH the day before yesterday on our walk that I absolutely hate exercise. I hate everything about it. Oh well. I got him a Fitbit (even though he rolled his eyes), and now we’re competing with each other to see who can get the most steps each day. Regarding the airport – I’m flying out Saturday for Ohio and returning on Tuesday. What day does your sister come back? Now they’re calling for snow on both Monday and Tuesday…

Chriss – you are such a sweetie! I cannot wait to order my chimes. We have salad every night – a BIG ole salad with lots of other veggies and even fruit. The only thing we have coming up out here is the rhubarb. Have fun spending your millions…

Jules – it sounds like the party is going to be a hoot! How fun to be looking for a new car – hope you both find one he likes. I sure wish your asthma and knees felt better – maybe with warmer weather? Re the vitamin D – I don’t drink pop (soda) or eat soy, so the doc has no idea why mine was so low. I’m just glad there are vitamins we can take to boost it up. Have a great day!

I’d better get a move on – have to get ready for Bible study and then find a suitcase to start packing. I can’t wait to see everyone in Ohio! BOING. Have a great day, all. xoxo Sharona

Teresa - adult whooping cough. Never heard of it until now. I see you boing-ing all over the place. Have fun visiting the LQSs. I'm sure you will be a great help to Cindy today.

Lori - gosh, I wonder if my DH has done our taxes yet! He's procrastinating because we will owe this year - grrrrr. GFG - isn't that hexies???

Lois - I'm still trying to figure out how to get pix off e.mail and onto Photobucket. Scheesh. Photobucket keeps changing, doesn't it?

Suz - glad you washer came "early". I suppose you'll finish quilting the quilt today?

Carole - how are you quilting the cupcake quilt? When is your class with Ann Peterson?

Vicky - oh, how I hate to fix pants/alter clothing. I'd rather start from scratch. Have fun with Tia and Jovanna.

Velda - you really do feel and wind when you're in an RV. Gosh, and the thunder and lighntening are so scary. There has been storms where I wanted to lift up the bed and crawl in there for safety. BUT when it's just raining, it sure is good sleeping!

Maryz - glad you are enjoying your sister. You have a lot of e.mail to check out - LOL LOL.

Chriss - had to LOL at Marilyn and her hair. Kids! How much is gas there?

Maryq - I know I'm typing on your head. Have a good day at work today. The good news is that it's hump day.

Last night I finished turning under, gluing and pressing the points of the Dresden Plate blades and got my project bag packed with the blades, fabric for background blocks and sashing, thread, glue and large coffee filters to use as stabilizer. That is all ready to go. I almost got all the appliques ready for the next floral log cabin block. But now I'm at work blah blah blah. Have to fix dinner tonight and make my grocery list for camping. I think we will have taco soup and cornbread while camping. BBL to check up on y'all.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning, good morning,
A couple weeks ago I said I couldn't believe they were doing a reality show about diving, well, guess what show David likes to watch! We had some pretty good rain/thunder/lightening last night and the sump pump has been running, but at least it's not snow.

Has anyone heard any updates on Kathy and her daughter?

Chriss - love Marilyn in the cowboy boots!

Miriam - was wondering what you heard at the Gammill factory?

Maryz - have fun with your sister.

Jules - glad to hear it went well reconnecting with your family.

I'm supposed to go with Elizabeth today over to Buffalo to look at 2 cars - I have never bought a car myself in my life so I hope I'm actually a help to her and not just a ninny.

Have a great day,
Karlene

Good Morning, or is it afternoon. I have been so busy here trying to get DD organized,,,,a monumental task and I am losing. Internet was down last night and this morning we finally figured out to reset the modem....so now it is working. we had snow last night and they are saying 8 to 12 inches here.....this really isn't nice. I guess minnesota is better if you visit it in the warmer months......wait a minute they don't have warmer months. DD said you won't need your boots Mom don't bother....i should have trusted my intuition and I didn't. so now I will go out today and slosh around in my loafers. we need to get to the store before more snow falls.

So happy more of you are getting hooked on the hexxies......Heh heh heh....i did several last night...am almost out of the cut parts and need to make somemore...on the red and white....the CW fabric one is half done. I cannot wait to finish the CW one then I will start a smaller hexxie table runner. This one will be 30s/ but I so want to make the braided quilt Joann is doing it is outstanding....such great colors/

Well I need to do the maytag mambo....hope you all have a great day...if I missed hugging anyone cause they were in trouble sorry XXXOOO

Morning Pals from the cabin in the woods. The poodle and I got rained on this morning during our walk. It's over now until this evening when it will storm. It was 87 here yesterday. No wonder it will storm.
I've been thinking about all of you being blown to chickie's. I think after you have breakfast you should blow on to here for lunch. Then we can all be blown to Paducah.
I looked through the Quiltmaker magazine yesterday. I decided to leave it at the store and continue on with the hexies I am doing.
Chickie--wish you were going to be in WP longer, I would drive over and meet you for dinner. It's been a while since I've been there. There were some nice antique shops around the town square, and I believe a Janome dealer that also sells fabric. How long will it take you to drive? If you have to go back after May 5 let me know.
I'm sewing today and then putting my stuff away. Will be packing for Paducah, Florida, and the Caribbean.
Hope you get to do something quilty today. Hugs and prayers for all.

Good morning...just popping on to say hi before I'm off to a workshop. Kathy McNeil was our speaker last night and I am able to take a workshop since I'M ON SPRING BREAK.
I am doing a fused applique heron and last night decided I need a pressing surface that I didn't have to share so this morning I got up at 7 and covered a TV tray that I had bought at Target. Nothing like necessity to get something done. Off to pack the car and Betsy is taking the class with me.

LORI'S QUILT FOR MERRYMAN IS BEAUTIFUL! Everyone loved it last night

have a fabric filled day

Good afternoon from warm, overcast, SW. Pa...Yep, I'm back, I think!
Thank you Chriss for asking about me....

It's been a rough week and a half but I'm hoping I'm on the right track now...Ever feel you're fit as a fiddle and then the next minute, you're flat on your back, hooked up to lots of wires and not sure what's happening???? Thank goodness I was taken care of quickly and the outcome is good...I did have to laugh when they sent me home with orders not to do anything! You know that "yea" feeling only lasts about 2 minutes and then it's Oh darn!.....But, before long, I'll be back to doing all those things I used to complain about, lol....You know, Jim can only go so long with store bought cookies.....But, he's been a gem, a true care giver with no complaints and I can be a very nasty patient....

For now, I might not post as much, but I will try to get on and see what everyone is up too....As far as my quilting, that will have to be put on hold for a little while...Just give me more time to plan more projects.....

My best to all....

You all have a great day........

Good morning!

It is late here, but little one is still taking his morning nap - he was up late and is one tired little boy.

DS2 and family put down money on having a new home built for them! This is wonderful as they live in a three bedroom condo with the four kids. This is just the beginning process, they will probably be finished sometime in the winter - December or so. The new house is slightly closer to me - by a block -LOL - the development is only 2 blocks from where they live now - out of the condo development. Only single family homes are being built there. It is still in the Ward they live in, so Matt will continue to be the Bishop.

Not much else going on here - quiet days are great - I am still trimming on the rectangles - and then to cut the strips that attach to them.

Irish - glad that you are back with us - reading here is one of those doing it easy things!

Well must get going on those rectangles - as soon as I start to trim - Ethan will wake up! LOL He must hear the rotary cutter going through the fabric!

Oh yes - Cindyg - seems as if we are the only two holdouts on those hexies - don't desert me now! PLease!!! LOL I keep hearing them call - but not giving in!! ROFLOL

Hugs
Jana
