Who-hoo! We made it to 60 degrees! DH and I worked out in the yard—planted some more daylilies, the gladiolus that I hadn’t planted because of the cold, and some tiger lilies we got from our neighbor. Also put in a couple of things we dug up at the old home site that I can’t remember the names. I’m in to make a doll dress while DH and Tinker Bell are off hunting antler sheds.

Mom is doing well today—the sun really perks her up. She is working on some aprons. I’ll go in and see her tomorrow.

Coffee pots—I have a Gevalia given to us after the fire. It has a thermos carafe with it, and I really like it when I make a full pot. But, a couple weeks ago I got a Keurig. It is so much fun to fix the different brews. I grind my beans some times, but the cup doesn’t work all that well for me. Maybe it’s because I don’t grind the beans fine enough. I’ll keep trying… It’s nice to just brew a big cup. I have a huge cup, and I found I can brew the small cup first and when the cycle finishes, I can lift the handle, put it down and punch another cup using the same K-cup. I can fill my tankard with brew to my taste (and fill) using the one K-cup.

Judi—I drink several of my tankards a day, and I still fall asleep easily.

SharonS—the nicer weather is coming your way!!! Today is a 180 from yesterday!!! Too funny about the Duck tape dress form!!!

MaryZ—all the baby calves are doing well. They are too cute. We were sitting on the deck awhile this afternoon and watching a cow across the pond. She was wandering around and seemed to be looking for something. We thought because she was by herself, she might be going to calve. Pretty soon, we saw a little red calf literally bouncing around kicking up its heels and frolicking. Apparently it had been playing hide-and-seek with mama cow. She gave one of her low calls that only her calf knows, and it dutifully went to her side. We thought it was pretty cute. Since we don’t raise dairy cattle, our calves go “au naturale”. A bucket calf is always an accident here unless one of the sons purchases them for the DGKs for 4H fair projects.

MaryQ—oh, I forgot about the SS and your DEX if you were married over 10 years. Great info from MaryZ!!!

Jana—I hear everything is bigger in Texas… must include truck mufflers, too!!! I have a feeling your evergreen trees are pollinating. We had cedars that looked literally like smoke from a fire as the breezes blew their pollen. DH investigated thinking someone had set a fire. Woe to the eyes!!!

I must get back and create something before DH returns. Sewing time is precious these days!

Good evening from down on the farm. My eye is still a little blurry, but seems some better each day. Two bathrooms are gutted. Lowe's was supposed to deliver today, but it was raining so they turned around and the carpenter didn't have materials to work with.

I have a question. I gave Sharon S. some of my flying geese rulers to take to class last week and said well, I have several mini and small, 2 large and 1 jumbo, but no medium. I have looked and looked and cannot find one. So, my question is, is there a "medium" size flying geese ruler?
