Re: OPENING DAY
Even though I was not in the ss swap this year I love looking at all the pretty things every one is receiving hope everyone enjoyed it and to the ones that were NOT ON TIME mailing your gifts Shame on you I know what a downer that is for you because last year I received mine several days after the swap was over. And believe me that's a big let down merry Christmas and may we all remember the true meaning of Christmas Glenda

Re: OPENING DAY
Happy dance!!!! My Secret Santa was Vinae, and I have received a bounty of blessings. I love love love my stocking, and she was so very generous in giving me lots of seasonal fat quarters from her stash - I can make things from Valentines day to Christmas! I also have some lovely Santa towels, which were sorely needed. And what an indulgence - she gave me a lovely-scented cream from Victoria's Secret - woo woo! I have a very cute stuffed snowman - he is quite the festive fellow. And oh my goodness, I have 36 skeins of embroidery floss! These will come in so handy - I cannot tell you how many times I've had to run to the store for that. And the beautiful rug mug - I hope you can see how beautiful it is in the picture. I love the blingy fabric in it and my stocking!
I also scored some aloe-infused socks. I cannot wait to try these. I also got a lickety-split pattern - can't wait to try it out - it really looks cool. And a pattern called Little Charmers that is designed for 5" charm squares - really neat! And a really cool itty bitty feathered star tisue foundation pattern - it looks very detailed - like a magnified snowflake. And a QIAD book called 'Nana's garden' - I have it on my list of quilts to make next year. I also have a lovely emery board - I love those things!
There was also some homemade peanut brittle, and my favorite chocolate bar Hershey's Symphony, and four packets of cinnamon hot chocolate - my DH has already snagged them and wants me to make him one tonight. Vinae also made me a mug organizer - it will be sitting right beside my sewing machine upstairs - it is perfect! I saw one at a quilt store awhile back and had been kicking myself for not buying it. I'm so glad I didn't - mine is much prettier! Guido also got a toy; however, the dog thinks she should be able to play with it also.
I also received as teasers a Halloween-themed pin holder and a gorgeous Thanksgiving table runner that all my guests raved about. Such a generous bounty of gifts - my heart overflows with gratitude.
I took some pictures with the Ipad - they're pretty lousy but as most of you know, I'm still looking for the ding dang dongle for the camera.
I hope those still waiting get their boxes today. Vinae, thank you again and again for all my lovely treasures.
xoxo! Sharona

Oohhh!! it is so much fun to see all the gifts.
My SS is Traci / towens71. I have received by email a gift card from CT and in her note she mentions that a package is on its way.
Traci, thank you so much for the gift card. It is so sweet of you. Hooo!! I'm anxious, excited. I'll be on the look-out to receive the package. I'll post as soon as I receive it.
Love & hugs
Denise

I will make some day it look cute & do able. Congratulation ANN!!!!! There is also a book on quilting tips & quotes from the bible....always helpful & needed. There's a sewing basket ornament in my favorite colors, mmmmmmann did you make this? a Christmas quilting mug full of candy I'll put that under the little tree on a table. Oh yes it came in a hand made gift bag. Let's see there are thread clippers....good for me mine got rusty in storage. Something I've never seen before quilting post cards, I have just the stamps for them. There's a 6 1/2" squaring ruler. There's quilting key ring, a coaster for my tea, a beautiful stocking, 2 tins in a button motif one has yellow, blue & white FQ's & thread. There's also orange hand cream....I have it in smells good, a candle, a little stocking ornament.
