Re: DEAR JANE QUILT - (where Janiacs go to post!)
Got 2 of the easier blocks done and I didn't drink a single Bloody Mary. Thought about it though. I guess I am officially a Janiac now. I can understand why you wouldn't work on just this quilt all the time. You would go crazy! I am going to try to do 3 or 4 blocks a week, but I am sure that is not going to work out that way. Good luck all you Janiacs. If I have any questions I know I can count on your help.

SHERRY - congrats on your 2 blocks! But you didn't need even one bloody mary? I think you're missing the point of this project! lol!! what kinds of fabric are you using? I'm going with scrappy. Most of my blocks are white/cream/or very pale background with various colorful fabrics - greens, blues, purples, yellows, greens, oranges browns, blacks, pinks - you name it - it's in there!
I think this quilt would be beautiful in ANY color scheme - 30's, Civil War, mod, neon, pastels, 2-color, etc.

I agree with you. This quilt would go with just about any type fabric. My fabric that I am using is Civil War Reproduction and 1800's. I have lots because I am also a Civil War "junkie" so they go together. I have other types of fabric because I also want to start making some lap robes for the VA hospital in Fort Wayne. I am glad I have all of the El's Angel Janiacs to answer my questions. Thanks!

Welcome to the Dear Jane obsession Jules. I have to get mine out and do some more this week. I think a bottle of liquor should come with each book. LOL
