Summer Memories Block Due by 3/31

Yesterday, my confirmation # indicated that my blocks were in Salt Lake City, UT. I checked again this morning, and now they are in Los Angeles, CA... Why L.A.??? I'm living way north east not south west of Vinae... This is the 3rd swap that it is happening. I can't conceive, can't understand the "why" usps are shipping my blocks to L.A... oh well, they will get here... eventually...

Well mine left Salt Lake City on 9th April so I'm guessing they are on the international leg of the journey as they haven't been checked in anywhere else yet.....it's all getting very exciting

Denise- I think for some reason they ship all international packages from Salt lake to LA. Seems dumb to me too. I guess that is how they do it, and it takes so long that way. GRRRR!!! I feel so bad that you have to wait so long to get your blocks.

Oh wow! They are so beautiful. My honey picked them up while I was leeping. I want to take a picture of them all together, but had to jump on and tell you all how talented you are. You really can sit back and be reminded of summer memories. As I kept flipping through, I was telling Beauregard how much I loved each one. He was happy to look(sniff), too. He just got to visit 17 other houses without leaving his! Pam

Pam- LOL, scratch and sniff quilt blocks. That's a new one. Some of them look good enough to eat. I don't blame him for that. The food blocks should be scratch and sniff. LOL Thanks for posting that you got them.

May be your blocks had to go to LA first to catch a plane for Canada!

My tracking number says mine was in Ohio! Go figure!

I am sorry. Yesterday, it was not my intention to vent like I did. With my Mom at the hospital, not being able to talk to her cause she's in the ER... it made me upset to see that they were in L.A.

Denice I totally understand your frustration with the USPS. You are so not alone. I was in on the Christmas Swap with Chriss and we both live in CA. In fact we live about maybe 4-5 hours away from each other so you would think that I would be one of the first ones to get my package. NO!!!!! Go figure! Actually I have stopped trying to figure it out and just wait, wonder and love it when it gets here.
I will have a cup of tea with you while you wait!

Denise, I am so sorry to hear your Mom is in the hospital. You probably mentioned it in other areas of the forum. I am like my brother in that I usually don't read most of the other categories on here. Love and hugs to you and your Mom. Boy you really have had lots to deal with in less than one years time. Denise.. when I order a package from QIAD which is aout 7 or so hours south of me it is sent to Sacramento which is about 3 hours north of me... it is transfered from one courier company to the US Post office... the US Post office sends it from Sacramento to Fresno which is an hour south of me... Fresno sends it to Stockton 2 hours north of me and it finally arrives in my mail box... I so understand your frustration....

I have the same issue with Connecting Threads only I think theirs originates in a different state.

I have even had my packages sent further north to Oakland..... don't know who the route person is in the mail system but I think they need to have an upgrade...

I remember in one swap I think it was O'Dorothy who had her package go on a mini vacation before it got to her...

I so understand your Frustration... and to add your mom's illness on top of it is like a double whammy.. hugs and prayers to you....hope all gets better soon.
