hand embroidery
so when you finally get all the hand embroidery done 2 pillow cases 2 dollies and the runner that matches them what do you do about washing the blue x off the projects do you wash and press lightly sure dont want to mess it up way to many hours involved im sure jo will agree with me on that one as she has made the same project wish i could post a picture of them i put it on facebook if anyone wante to check it out look under glenda oliver im from centre alabama it will be on my downloads from my phone

Rinse them out first and don't put a iron anywhere near until all the blue is gone - if you do you could set the ink permanently!
When you do press - put the embroidery side down on a thick terry cloth towel - like a thick bath towel - this will cushion the embroidery and not flatten it out.

I put water in a spray bottle and mist them. You may need to repeat a couple of times.

I see this is an old post, but I wash and dry them. Then iron face down with a bath towel under. It keeps the shape of the design and looks like new again. Lori
