Ok, so I know Christmas is a ways off yet.... but I thought I'd throw this out there!

THIS WILL BE THE 5TH ANNUAL Q-I-A-D SECRET SANTA YEAR!!

Do you belive it... 5 years! Amazing huh??

No need to panic just yet.... Details and sign ups won't be posted until after I get back from Alaska but I just wanted y'all to starting thinking about it! I hope that we can get some of the new gals involved this year....so if you've been a part of the Secret Santa Swap in the past and had a good time with it... be sure to encourage others to join in. I know I have had a lot of fun!!!

Will post details mid-August.... so be on the look out!!

can someone refresh my memory on how this works? Yes, I know I could go back through the posts and find something about it, but lets face it, today I am just LAZY. Didn't sleep well last night and then I had to get up and come to work. I have to work to support my hobby that I can't do a whole lot of because I have to work. So, go figure. Anyway, I know I have read about these in the past but before I sign up I need all the gorey details.

JO, don't worry about the details just yet... I'll be posting them later. We have lots of time!! I'm going to get my thoughts all together while I'm on vacation and will start up the real swap when I get back... Mid-August!

Jo, no gorey details, just lots of fun. I'm going to start saving my pennies so I can join again this year--wasn't up for it last year and missed it. There will be a "suggestions for Secret Santas" thread so we can post some of our favorites, ex, fabrics, colors, and anything that we would really like to have or need and any allergies, etc. It will all be spelled out, we just have to answer the questions posed in that thread. This is just for suggestions.

Then we will be given a name and we pretend we're Santa and we make or purchase or find in our stash, etc. a present for our "person". Mary will give all the specific details and limitations, mail dates, open present date, etc. Right now we can start thinking about something we would like to make, if we want to make something, AND we can take advantage of "Christmas in July" at most LQSs and on-line shops for fabrics, etc.

Just to get the creative juices flowing......................

Also - Mary gives you your Secret Santa name early enough so that you can do things like send Thanksgiving hints... lol!!!

Also - I have been known to start building my "box" round about this time of year... some lucky people in the past have even gotten books signed by El!! Last summer, I got a coffee cup at the Knoxville show - I loved it so much, I got one for myself, so I think of my SS pal whenever I have coffee in my cup!!
