Christmas Star Block Swaps **** use this thread****
hello all, if we have 10 people and 20 blocks, each one of us can make one of each block for each person on the list.
That way everyone can have layout on the picture below on the thread.
these are the links for the blocks;
10 blocks of
http://www.quilterscache.com/S/StarPuzzleBlock.htm
10 blocks of
http://www.quilterscache.com/C/ChristmasStarBlock.html
here are the names for the swap.
all the info for the swap is on the other thread being headed by 'mequilter9158'.

Jacquie, I just love the star puzzle block. It doesn't have near the number of pieces that the first one had. If there are enough people interested, I'll be more than happy to start the swap.

i was looking at stars in general, i do agree the 'puzzle star' does have less blocks and would be less hassle, as it were.
especially if you're making a few!!
'me' thanks for taking the reigns, i thought a star would be nice for 'Christmas' theme,
we could all take votes on a colour scheme, say
red/gold
red/green
blue/silver
etc, etc... or variegated...
whatever...
thanks

heres the link for the 'star puzzle'.http://www.quilterscache.com/S/StarPuzz ... Block.html
if there's a few people interested, and a 50/50 choice outcome with the block, do you think the 2 blocks in one quilt (in the same colour way) would look any good?
just a thought, may be a silly thought, i don't know...that's why i'm throwing it out there lol...

Hi -
I like the Christmas Star but I would alter it to have a 4" solid block in the middle and make flying geese for the outside edges. Less seams to match up.
Either one would be fine with me.

teresa, i understand your thinking, are you any good at re-writing patterns, as that's what we would have to do i think...

Would those interested in doing this swap let me know? If there's enough who'd like to join, I'll start a separate discussion. We could do either star, whichever you would like. It'd have to be WOW but we can vote on the colorway. I'd prefer green and red, but let me know what would work for you. Does a deadline of November 1st work with everyone?

I think I could do this one. Either star would be ok, but I agree the second one looks easier. Red and green would work for me, also.

i'm opting for 'christmas star' block, the first one, i'm happy with red/green also...
love jacquie xxxxx
btw, i was playing with the 2 patterns of the star blocks on my pc, and if we each received 50/50 of the blocks each, this is what they would look like together... nice huh??
