Re: Have you read a good book lately?
I just finished Only Time Will Tell by Jeffrey Archer. I enjoyed it very much. The ending was a shock until I found that it is the first book in a trilogy. That fact was the subject of much discussion and criticism in the reviews on Amazon!
Since I am not at home, and so cannot look for it at my library, I ordered the second book for my Kindle, which I always have with me!

Thanks for the heads up Ann, I will check it out. My Kindle is my constant companion, I have discovered all kinds of books and authors I had never heard of before!

NANAQUILTER - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! An author in our midst! We have another author, too, but I haven't seen her post in a while. Her name is Liz. Between quilting and writing, you two would probably have a great time together! If I could be anything in the world, I'd be a writer. Writing has always fascinated me, since I was a kid. I so admire anyone who can write. Tell us the name of your book and where we can find it!

Just finished reading "Quilts: Their Story And How To Make Them" by Marie Webster. The original 1916 edition is available for FREE download on Kindle.
I really love history - and this book was very fun for me to read. I would look up the quilt block names mentioned in the book. Many of them I have never heard of before. I have found way too many new blocks to add to my "To do" pile.
Just downloaded "Chats on Old Lace and Needlework" by Emily Leigh Lowes ( 1908 edition ) another great history read and again free on the Kindle.
Take care -
Rick

I got a new book from my neighbor for Christmas....I read it already . It is a great book for cat lovers like me. It is also about an Autistic boy, It is called, "The Cat who Came Back For Christmas" by Julia Romp. It is based in England, I think I read another of her books too, but it was borrowed and I forgot the name of it. But if you like sweet stories, this is it,

Just finished "Winter World" by Ken Follett. Good book. It's the second of a triology. Lori
