I just finished Janet Evanovich's Smokin' Seventeen. As usual, she's always a fun and funny read. Though I'm ready for her to finally make her choice - and I'm rooting for Morelli!

I just read "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton (well, actually, it was about 3 books ago....) (Thanks Ann)
Wonderful book--I usually read mysteries, so this was a nice change while still having a bit of a mystery embedded. HIghly recommended--run, don't walk to your nearest library!

I think I've found two new authors of "cozy mysteries"!

Sara Rosett...and Katherine Hall Page. I just love the cozies...no blood, guts, or gore. Light reading, but fun!

My daughter got a book by Sandra Dallas, so let her know I would like to read it when she is finifhed.

A book I read this weekend was BLINDSIDED, by Richard Coehn. He is married to Meridith Veriera,

I just finished another James Patterson book, Cross, and it was, as always, very good read....

JOANNE - I've read some of Katherine Hall Page's books (one was even quilt-themed!). I've enjoyed them. They are my usual kind of book.

I listen to books on tape when I sew and I just finished "reading" Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. (I didn't know Sophie lives in England). It's about a 27-y.o. girl going to her 105 yr old great-aunt's funeral. But suddenly, the great-aunt appears to her (as a flapper girl) and begs her to stop the funeral and find her special necklace which disappeared just before she died. This book had lots of twists and turns, and some hilarity, ala` the old Topper TV series, a big of intrigue, and romance. All in all, it made for a fun read. It was long, but so was my sewing project.

Joanne, I have loved every Patterson book I've read...The one I just finished is a series of books with the main character being Alex Cross, retired from the DC police department....This one was pretty gory but I have a tendency to "read over" the nasty parts, lol....

Jim has probably read every one of Patterson's books and also loves them....
