looking for a suggestion
I have a favorite casserole that is a 2 quart round. It seems any time I take a hot dessert to sunday dinner at our daughters I always use that casserole for it. Best thing I have come up with to transport it so far is a priority mailing box with a thick dish towel inside. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a pattern I could purchase that might serve the purpose. It can't be anything too complicated as I am not a very talented person. Thanks so much.

Re: looking for a suggestion
I have seen patterns for cassarole carriers at Nancy's Notions and I think in the Clotilde Catalog -
One suggestion I have is make a sling for the dish - a flat quilted piece of fabric - put a dowel on each end - tabs would hold the dowel and a place for your hand - along the edges some ties so that the dish could be secured from falling out - if you like this idea I can draw up some instructions for you and mail them to you - I kept your address
Just kind of designing this on the fly

Jana you are so sweet. I will look around a bit and if I can't find something I will get back to you. I don't want you going to all the trouble of designing me one and drawing it. I so appreciate you writing.

Shoot, now I wish I had studied the casserole carrier at the quilt show this weekend a bit closer. I *think* it was square. There was a ring on one possibly two corners and ties on the other two corners. set the dish in the middle, run the ties through the rings. The gal said it could be used for square or round dishes.

Chrissy, Hope you find a pattern you can use. I saw one at a potluck a while back that sounds like the one Jana is talking about. It looked very simple to put together and use. The lady who had it showed me what she did but I had forgotten all about it until now. I think she used a purchased quilted place mat to start with.
Thanks everyone for all your ideas on this. Now I want one too. Take care and may all your potlucks be fun. God bless, Shirley Mae
