Binding Clips
I just finished my first quilt using binding clips (that seem to be nothing more than metal hair clips - only cheaper.) And I have to say that they work GREAT! It was so nice to not get pin-stuck every 2 minutes! It went much faster, and I didn't lose pins into my chair for DH's hiney to find later. So if you've considered trying them, and are wondering if they really work (like I was!) I am giving them my endorsement. I'll never go back to pins. They were $3.50 for a pack of 30 in a quilt shop in a small town we were visiting.

I'll add my "endorsement" to Mary's! I, too tried them the last time I did a binding and they are wonderful!!! Well worth the money.

Re: Binding Clips
I bought some at one of those dollar store places that are hair clips. They were like 10 for a dollar. They work too. They had two sizes and I think the larger ones had fewer in the package.

Re: Binding Clips
I've never used them so I might have to give them a try. I wonder if the $1 store has hair clips. I have been gluing my binding down with Roxanne's glue (washes out) and pressing it to dry the glue and I don't have to worry about pins either. Come to think of it, I wouldn't have to worry about keeping up with the clips if I glue. Have y'all tried the glue routine?

Re: Binding Clips
I use binding clips as well. I love them. No more pin scratches is my favorite part. I got a diaper wipe container from my step daughter and keep my clips in it. I sit it next to me when I am sewing the binding down and drop the clips through the slit where the wipe comes out. If it tips they all stay inside.

I love them too, no more needle sticks and the local hobby lobby has them for 3.99 for 25, small and large ones.
