Grace Speed Control???
Hi, got my Mini Pinn quilt frame all set up, & machine on it (Viking Sapphire 830), & it doesn't say which of three settings to use for a Viking? The first & third go way to fast, & adjusting the speed does nothing to slow it down. The second speed, no response at all from my machine. So, if you know & have more good advice to share about this, please let me know, as next to nil comes with the instructions included, & my resident techy is not here right now....
Thanks,
Nancy/NC (send me a private message if you want, will check back)

I have the stitch regulator and really like it. I usually run it on a lower number because it slows things down as well as lengthening the stitch. I sometimes have to UNsew something I have quilted. It is not machine or frame error...it is ALWAYS operator error!

Unfortunately, your Grace speed control won't work with your Sapphire 830. I used my Sapphire 830 on a Handiqulter II frame for over a year with the presser foot velcro'd to teh top of the machine. I used one hand on the presser foot and the other to guide the machine on the frame. I finally broke down and bought a Juki TL98Q which works perfectly with the Grace Speed Control. I use my Sapphire for piecing and other sewing projects now.

Well, the new one hasn't arrived yet, for me to try it out, so still wondering?
TooMuchFabric..what kind of machine do you have that you are using it with, just curious?
I am using my foot pedal now, on the floor, & sitting on a tall stool as I quilt on the frame. It is working out okay, so will probably just keep doing that, if this contoler doesn't work with it. They did send me a list of machines they now work with, & the Sapphire wasn't on it, but several other Vikings were. I thought it was interesting, where we bought my frame, the guy said, when DH talked to him, that Grace has not tried this product on numerous machines, so they only list the ones, they have tried it on so far, so, I haven't given up yet, lol. Time will tell!...

happymrs, I have the Little Gracie II frame and the Baby Lock Quilters Choice Professional. It works very well. I am not very good at quilting but it is my inexperience not the machine or frame. They are great fun.
