you wouldnt believe how many quilting magazines i have bought since i started quilting 7 years ago i get them not necesarily to make a quilt from im just addicted to looking at them all and then i read them cover to cover and learn as much as i can because im a self taught qulter and thats how you learn i also have a great stack of qiad books and patterns which are great well explained for a beginner i also love fons and porter quiltmaker quilts quick quilts but it is my pet pieve when i buy a quilting magazine and open it up and theres a clothing catalog stuck in there to be removed

I currently subscribe to Fons and Porters "Love of Quilting" and Quiltmaker. I like them both -- especially that they provide the suggestions on how to quilt the quilt once it is pieced.

Check 1. Used bookstore be surprised what you find.
2. Network here, some might trade or sell.
3. Would Etsy carry some.
4. Every year in June our quild sells magazines for under $2.00.
5. Subscribing is the best, it comes to your door. Like a Xmas present.

If I were going to choose just one, it would be Quiltmaker. I like different magazines for different things.
