Sounds like fun! I really enjoy theme quilts, especially ones concerning women. Eleanor always has interesting historical information.

I am trying to decide if I should join the underground railroad group or the pioneer sampler group well. Is anyone involved in either of those groups?

i'm doing the pioneer sampler since i've wanted to do that one for a long time. I love that pattern. yes, april, sew alongns are a lot of fun, and you can use your stash and go at your own pace--well, almost at your own pace, some of these ladies are real pushers, LOL--there is a lot of encouragement and sharing with the others in the sew along........

chriss, i'm not sure i'm going to do the bom this year, sounds like fun, but i may wait until i see the first block and see what direction it is taking before i commit my $$$$.

I'm on the fence about doing the 2011 BOM......I might wait a month or two and see if it's something I want to do. I'm also thinking about doing the Pioneer Sampler sew along......I've had the book for years but I'll have to check my stash and see if I have suitable fabric before I decide. The sew alongs are always fun!!

I won't be doing the 2011 BOM. I already made the Underground Railroad about 2 years ago with the sew-along. Still need to be hand quilted. I don't have the Pioneer Samplers book, don't know if I'll buy it.

Thanks for the information and encouragement concerning the sew alongs. I am going to sign up for the pioneer sampler and give it a try. I hope I can keep up.

I have to admit that getting a signed book with the BOM next year helped me make up my mind to join. I only managed one top this year. However there are several patterns that I will make eventually.
