It's called Fabric Frenzy, table runner, table topper, lap quilt (or larger) made from charms plus jelly roll, or layercake or stash. It looks sort of like tossed ninepatch but it's different (basic 'block' is rectangle made from 4 1/2" square sewed to two 2 1/2" squares)--Then you sew 4 together around a 2 1/2" square (partial seams)--some of the projects had applique over the blocks but most have applique along borders. Easy to make as small or big as you want. She's included several applique patterns (mostly "Fall" things, like Maple leaf, Oak leaf, acorn, pumpkin)
I'll be using my stash I think.
Oh yes, El loved the pumpkin pie quilt!

I just watched the "FABRIC FRENZY" video. This looks like a fun block. Of course El makes it look so easy. I think it is kind of versatile also. It will be fun to see what our Sally comes up with.

You also get to see El's sewing studio at QIAD. She shows the "before" (which looks a lot like all of ours) and then they re-model it. I really like the slide boards they put up for hanging anything we want. And they use car headliner fabric for her new design wall. A lot of fun to watch and El is so excited and her usual perky self.

The new sewing studio is awesome (besides getting the tour we also got blackberry and spiced peaches jams on crackers. Of course I had one of each, and then one of each again after class! El made the jams, blackberries from her yard in Julian!) Orian (El's gorgeous, youngest son) designed and made the 'sliders' on the wall for rulers and such. Really cool! I asked if he'd be making them for others, or at least selling either kits or pattern--he's thinking about it. They are soooo cool! The quilt hangers you'll see were made and designed by Grant (El's oldest son and daddy of her grandbabies)--used to make to sell before he developed his skateboard company. Very nice. The new Koala furniture is really nice, but I actually like mine better (but would love the new push button raising or lowering 'lift' system for the machine. Hope I can get one for my table!)

I agree with Sally........it is stunning!!!! I love the colors and the batiks are perfectly coordinated.

I am also behind (further than you) but will try them all (at least make up a block) before long.
